With the 36th pick in Mock #2 The Jacksonville Jaguars select, Shavon Revel, Jr, CB, East Carolina. Revel at 6'3'' 195 and a 4.4 40, Revel brings a high level athlete at CB to the Jags. He is coming off an ACL in September of 2024, otherwise he was a first round top 15 pick in this draft. In addition to being a solid tackler and having 12 pass breakups he blocked 2 kicks in 2023. If the knee recovers the Jags have themselves a great value pick at 36. With the 37th pick in Mock #2 The Las Vegas Raiders select Luther Burden lll, WR, Missouri. The Raiders continue to fill the skill positions after taking Will Johnson in round 1. Burden is a strong thick slot who has a look of Deebo Samuel. He played in the slot 87% of the time and was a two time all SEC selection. That kind of production in the best conference in the nation shows his potential. With Myers on the outside he gives Geno Smith other target along with the best TE room in the NFL. He is tremendous after the catch and improved his drop rate to 3.8% in 2024. The Raiders have a need at RB but with the depth at that position in the draft, the pick of Burden aligns with the BPA at a position of need. The Broncos and @LEBills are now on the clock...

All true but they scored 19 in SB and while the run D was dreadful JK didn’t push the ball downfield to give Norwood a better % kick. He was lights out inside 45 in his career. Not to mention Steve Young SB lead up was pleading with JK and some players to not got caught up in the festivities of the week..

The Bills need to nail down 3 impact players in this draft. Unless a player slides I’m not sure it’s worth giving up 62. The heart of this draft is 16-64.. let’s get 3 of those guys imho.

Perhaps JK is slightly overrated. The first SB the Bills should have won and the O didn’t produce. Having said that, stats from 86-96 and now are not comparable. Too many changes since to compare fairly. It is a very hot take but not sure I would go that direction. How about the year Ferguson played on one leg vs Chargers? That team would have won the SB with a healthy Fergy!! I’ll hang up and listen 😆

The Raiders with Jeanty off the board go for BPA at their highest positional need. Johnson is a game changer athletic traits made for CB. In a deep draft of RB’s they can fill RB in the 2nd of 3rd. The Jets and @section122 are on the ⏰

With the 74th pick in the NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select from Texas, S, Andrew Mukuba. A four year starter and transfer from Clemson, Mukuba can roam the deep S position for the Panthers. This is part of the D rebuild to add an experienced anchor on the back end. He has great instincts on the ball and will have a chance to immediately start in year one. A great leader he has the potential to be a long term answer for Carolina. @H2o and the San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock

If Watts is on the board the Bills absolutely should and will consider a S. Bishop certainly will have an opportunity. But high rated player at a position needing depth or improvement. Yes, the Bills might do it.

It would depend on who is available at #30. That’s a lot of picks to move around. It’s possible but would depend.

The Carolina Panthers select Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State. The Panthers continue to build the D with the best player available at a position of need. I considered both S and DT here, but felt this was the best value of the the D options. The athletic Porter at 6'3" 195 runs a 4.3 with a 36.5" vertical. He has only one full year at CB but his pure speed and zone experience will allow him a shot to start in his first year. He has great potential with his length on downfield passes but needs to get stronger in press coverage off the ball. He will need to improve his tackling technique but brings a super high upside if he can reach his peak potential. In the rest of the draft the Panthers will have an opportunity to fill the other positions of need with 2 /4th round picks and 3 /5th round picks. Porter can fill in at CB2 opposite the talented but overpaid Jaycee Horn. An improved pass rush from edge rusher Shemar Stewart should help them both. @RyanC883 is on the clock for the Texans

Making things up. CS was injured and now already despite the data I presented Palmer is just a guy. Did you want Metcalf at $30M ? He stated multiple times he attempted to trade up for Thomas. Why are you making things up???

So you would overpay for a WR well over 30, give up on a 22 year old who was playing well before injury, and Palmer is part time and not good? ✅ Despite being a top 5 ranked separation WR in the NFL at 25. Our slot WR is just a slot. But we should have moved up just a couple spots for Thomas. Who BB said before and after the draft he tried to get via trade. Can you believe the gaul of the Jags? Having said that if a deep threat WR is available in the 2nd round, the Bills should consider drafting or trading up. Grant is possible at 30. I would be shocked NE is around at 56. If it fell this way, the Bills would be much improved!

I didn’t say anything about stats. Which are often important but don’t tell the whole story. I said he beat the Bills on the road and played well. And led Denver to 2-3 wins over expected in 2023. Last year as you recall he replaced Fields in week 7. I’ll reference that as impacting his stats. The Steelers were better with him on offense than with Fields. He had Passer Ratings of 98 and 95. Ranking 8th and 14th. While not anything but slightly above average it’s well above what Jones gave the Giants. Given that SS is known to hold the ball too long and has an average arm I would suggest Wilson starts. On a relatively bad team he gives The Giants the best chance to win.
