  1. What a bummer. He probably wished that he had kept his head down and his nose clean this past year.
  2. I like Stevie as a player, don't get me wrong. I love the way he runs his routes. I'm glad he's on our team. But when the Bills signed him this off-season, was that as a #1 receiver, or as a #1 hype man?
  3. Let the good times roll! I'd hate to get to the end of the season, not win the superbowl, and realize that I didn't have any fun, when it was there to be had.
  4. You're absolutely right. He should be thought of as a positive influence on the team, but the media mania surrounding him is going to a big distraction for anyone involved in the Jets organization for a long time.
  5. Thanks. After doing some research, er, using google, I'm embarrassed that I thought I might have invented the sitch myself. The sitch way predates me. I saw a neat usage of it, though, as a combination of situation and B word, as in, "Man, what a sitch it will be for Tebow to adapt to Gotham City."
  6. I'm glad that Floyd got busted. He wouldn't be there for us at 10 if he didn't. Listening to him talk, it sounds like he's learned from the mistake. Stevie would be a good dude to teach him the ropes.
  7. Now that that's out of the way, can somebody shed some light on where the abbreviation "sitch" came about? I thought maybe that I invented it, but now that I'm seeing it elsewhere, I'm thinking maybe it was common before I started using it. What's the sitch, yo?
  8. The problem isn't Tebow, rather, it's Tebow-mania. Reporters from all over the nation will be asking every player on the team questions about everything Tebow does or says, why he plays well, or why he doesn't play. The fact that it's New York compounds the problem. However, I agree that the jets ARE messed up to begin with. It's great.
  9. Exactly my sentiments! I'd believe it if I heard that the Jets traded for him, just so they could crucify him.
  10. Nice to see Goodell sending the message that the NFL isn't actually the Mafia, and the players aren't actually engaged in warfare. The football world tends to take itself too seriously.
  11. NFL owns the NFL Network, no? Sapp should be more worried about his own job, if he's looking to punish the whistle blower.
  12. Well, I Just went open season on a big flock of them for you, Doc, Terminator 2 style. Ground up and in the freezer. Seriously, though, my dictionary has both "deer," and "deers," as the plural. Round these parts, we call 'em deer, but if there's only one we call it a doe, or a buck, or a fawn. But if one jumps out in front of the car, we shout, "Deer!," 'cause we don't have time to check the size or the butt, but it can get confusing if we're not sure if there's more than one jumping. That's just the way we do it, just saying "deer," and I can't imagine anybody shouting "deers!" even if there were 10 of them ramming their ways into the car. We wouldn't ever think of saying "deers" except maybe perhaps if we were comparing the looks or taste of two deers. Then, we might ask, "which one of the two deers did you like better, Jimbo?" I think if its three, we tend to just call them three deer. It must be only for two that we call them deers, in these here parts, not everywhere.
  13. Thanks Mario, for bringing this problem the national attention that it deserves. There are actual herds of deer running rampant here in Southern Erie County. Not enough people are hunting, and many that do hunt are also tagging coyotes. I for one, am glad that Mario is willing to mow the deer down with machine guns, and I hope that he leaves the coyotes alone. What's your opinion, fellow residents?
  14. The comma was used expertly in that sentence. Take it from me, Franz Kafka. I like the discussion on Hill, because it's someone new to talk about.
  15. You had better go there and lead a chant then. Serously, start an new chant, because all we got is "Let's Go Buffalo," and most of the Home fans resent it.
  16. [quote name=rex' timestamp='13 31766273' post='2407028] not sure if this is sarcasm, but hotel staff claim she has had NOTHING bad to say about their visit so far. take it for what it's worth I wish they would have gone to a bed and breakfast, or the Mansion, but if it's a hotel, then I hope the staff isn't imcompetent.
  17. but those who have lost their muse would?
  18. The decision depends upon himself and his fiancee and their ideas for the area. Don't worry. I've been everywhere, man, and we're good.
  19. Listen fanbase. You may has well line up scented candles amongst the terminals at the airport tonight. I'm saying that I would have a nice dinner at Hutch's tonight, walk up Chapin to Deleware Park, see History Museum, the Gallery, then have a press conference. dD
  20. I prefer ribbing on journalists, rather than athletes. Jerry Sullivan is probably on a scotch ridden mission to launch his boat on the Niagara this evening.
  21. WAY south of the 33, or the 290 to Deleware, or Elmwood and Downtown, and South, along the waterfront, even past the old relics, because they are hopelessly romantic. But I'd live west of Wilson, along Lake Ontario.
  22. Take your time with the fiancee! It takes the soft touch, that only the suburbs of Buffalo can offer.
  23. Guys on TBD not making sexist comments, thinking Mario Williams fiancee might take offense.
  24. Williams back at OBD, per Cris Brown. Let's have a nice evening out. Where would you go, tonight? I'm thinking Hutch's, then a walk in Delaware Park, something at the Gallery, and then a press conference.
