  1. Good news is that the Pats hurry up offense that shredded Cincy will be less effective in the noise at the Ralph. Also, I saw Cincy rushing 5 quite often. We should be able to get pressure with less and drop more defenders into coverage. Brady was using every receiver, so covering everyone that extra second or two will allow our d-line to make the type of plays that they've proven capable of making.
  2. Nice. That's got to feel sweet for him.
  3. Those were elite reflexes and concentration. What a playmaker!
  4. Orton. Kyle Orton will have the next 300 yard passing game. Get IN there!
  5. Any one who hasn't seen it, should check out Fitz' pre-game speech from last game. It's legitimately awesome. http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-media/videos/Cant-Miss-Fitzpatrick-pregame-speech/5f49f918-83a2-491a-97b5-d0cf7b5550d2
  6. "Hey, game's over. You can take your helmet off."
  7. I think Woods ought to just man up and punch EJ in the face. Still think he's a good receiver, but he needs to show more leadership.
  8. I feel Woods' frustration. I hear the qb and coach aren't afraid to point out drops to the media. It's a two way street.
  9. 89. One 300 yard game every 8.9 appearances. 310 yards in his first start. 81 starts. One 300 yard game every 8.1 starts.
  10. For comparison's sake, Fitz has ten 300 yard games, two 400 yard games.
  11. Looking up stats, I saw that Orton has 10 career 300 yard games, and one 400 yard game. I like his chances. EJ has none, but smaller sample size.
  12. Things from today that I loved and miss. Loved the headfirst diving scrambles for first down. Miss that sort of effort. Loved it when he slammed into Mallet so hard that they both fell down. Laughed when Mallet threw a flying shoulder to Fitz' head. Miss that sort of enthusiasm. Loved the left handed shovel pass. That was a first. Miss the improvisation. The beard.
  13. Drew Brees' hands are only 10 1/4. EJ's are 10 3/8. It's not even a fair contest.
  14. At first, I thought you were being sarcastic, because who would want to throw him off his current form with contract talk mid-season? But I can tell you've given this some serious thought, and if you really believe that we should do it right away, then I support you 120%. I'm on the bandwagon too. It will be great to not have that ? hanging over our heads.
  15. I don't know Pegula's net worth... but I do find the ever inflating worship a gas tycoon for his presumed net worth to be utterly disgusting and pathetic, even if it is fueled by a dim-witted paranoia that the team will leave.
  16. Thank you very much for this. I'd like to add that some people think that, because there was a 1.75 billion dollar sale, all of that money went to Pegula. Silly.
  17. OK, I read the article, an it appears that, according to unnamed sources, the only rock stars that could afford to front a bid are Paul McCartney, Bono, Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, Mick Jaeger, and Keith Richards. Even Eric Clapton, who some think is God, does not have enough money to front a bid to buy the Bills and move them to Toronto. I think the real threat here is that Mick Jaeger and Kieth Richards will partner up. HOW DARE THEY! I'm going to burn my Rolling Stones albums in anticipation.
  18. I'd prefer if we got a fresh start, with someone like Axl Rose, Steven Tyler, or even Huey Lewis fronting a group of buyers that are trying to move the team to Toronto.
  19. Phew! At least there's one qb position we don't have to "re-tuel" on this team. I may not be the sharpest tuel in the shed, but I think I know a good third string quarterback when I see one.
  20. Hmm, about Mike Kafka. So, the Eagles cut him in favor of Trent Edwards, and the Patriots cut him in favor of Tim Tebow? Great name though.
  21. Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, Michael Joordan... Boycott Sal's!
  22. If EJ had 40 attempts or so this pre-season, like proven quarterbacks in the league, and only had one touchdown against backups, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, not that he's earned it. EJ Manuel led the NFL this preseason in passing attempts. He was one of 3 quarterbacks to play in 5 games. EJ Manuel: 5 games, 82 attempts, 1 touchdown. Ryan Nassib: 5 games, 74 attempts, 5 touchdowns Eli Manning: 5 games, 41 attempts, 1 touchdown EJ Manuel had more of a chance to prove himself this preseason than any other QB in the NFL. It may not mean everything, but it surely means something.
  23. In the regular season last year, Thad Lewis had a better completion percentage, and QBR than your man EJ Manuel. Granted, Jeff Tuel didn't have the greatest regular season, but he hasn't been given the same opportunities as the other gentlemen.
  24. This is like saying that the average acceleration time for cars is 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. But we don't own the average car, we own a lousy car. Just because we own a car, does not mean that we can expect to accelerate 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. The average team many have that sort of success on 4th down, but our team will not, and this no punt strategy will backfire badly. Tom Brady might convert 4th downs most of the time, but the reason that they're going for it, is because they have Tom Brady. A Porsche 911 might try to make a stoplight that you'd have no business trying to beat in your Ford Pinto.
  25. 18 points per game is better than 11 points per game. Can we agree? In 23 possessions this pre-season, with EJ at the helm, the Bills punted 9 times (40%). They scored scored 2 touchdowns against backups (9%). They scored 4 fieldgoals (17%). That's amounted to 22 points. They averaged 0.956 points per possession. If you factor in, that one of EJ's fumbles was returned directly for a touchdown, then they averaged 0.65 points per possession. If you consider the fact that one of his interceptions was converted for a touchdown, well, I am glad that it is you who are defending EJ and not me. There's an average of 12 possessions per team in the NFL. Will 11 points per game be enough? In 11 possessions this pre-season, with Tuel at the helm, the Bills punted 2 times (18%). They made a FG (9%), and missed one. He threw (with his arm) for 2 touchdowns (18%). That amounted to 17 points. They averaged 1.54 points per possession. That's about 150% of what they averaged with EJ. The only points recorded off Tuel's turnovers was a FG. Over the average 12 possession game you could expect Tuel's offense to score 18 points. I'd rather have an offense that scored 18 points per game than an offense that scored 11 points, even if it is the preseason.
