Ah, yes, I'm not angry about Pegula building the HarborCenter, but I don't need any tit-for-fracking-tat when he already got the tax breaks. -

The Pentagon's budget is bloated, yes. We've had the lead in defense for a long time. We just need to be smart about when we take to the offense, because our borders only stretch so far. Everything else can be hostile territory, which is harder to "defend." I think we're trying to be smart, but I'm a little anxious about cyber-security. The thing about Pegula, is that he hides his intentions. That's no straight criticism, but I factor it, based upon history. He buys the Sabres, says he'll drill another gas well. Everyone thought he was joking, but he was still speculating and drilling test wells left and right, which is how he built the value, to then sell land and buy the Bills. I simply accept it. Here's my thing: In the Southern Tier of New York State, there's a point in the western hills, where the water runs North, rather than South. This area has been leased for fracking, and the water affects Buffalo, Rochester, and the Finger Lakes Region. You can say, that no health effects have been proven (not, google it), but even in Pennsylvannia, the shale is 2x deeper that in New York State. Pegula hides his intentions. The benefit of the doubt crowd can be ignored they are so far behind the curve. In all honesty, there are parts of New York, I wouldn't mind being fracked. Frack downstream PA. It's already fracked. -

As far as I remember... Pegula is from Scranton, PA! That's just a reminder. I hope that he keeps his coal-black hands off this movement for as long as possible. … It’s OuRTOwN, not PEGULAville … In case you missed it ^. It’s OuRTOwN, not PEGULAville … Print the T-shirts. I donate all profits to whomever. ... Have at me, gals! ... There is no way that I'll be staying up late defending this thread, but I'll keep it open. Those were some guerrilla tactics I was using last night. Now I'm gonna watch from a safe distance. You ain't half bad yourself. -

Yes, it's true that I've been dead, and that has made my math skills impaired, so why don't you spell it out for me, and please just say how many years the public will be subsidizing these private profits.. -

Why don't you tell me what you know, and I'll see if I agree. So far, the scoreboard is 57 - 2. -
You could be paying more than you realize for what you'll be spending on parking, coffee, food, ice-time, Canisius tickets, and kitsch. http://www.investiga...s-harborcenter/ "The $57 million in tax breaks works out to about $134,000 per job – a comparatively rich subsidy, especially considering that many of those will be low-wage jobs."

Made me YouTube Hotpants. Is that also a 2BD tradition?

3 Man Band, all soloing at once ^. They pushed the limits, I'll say, like some weird noise experiment. Way to push it, Bruce.

Funny story: I used to raise chickens, for eggs. I'd have to kill the occasional rooster. That's not really the story, but it's a messy business killing any animal. I'm sure plants feel devastated. Anyway, I liked the taste of chicken, so I thought that I would try duck. So I bought some Muscovy ducklings, and raised them, technically free-range. To tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed with their laziness. I gave them plenty of opportunity to go outside, but they didn't have the same desire as the hardier chickens. And they were messy. It seemed that any drink of water necessitated drenching everything 10x the amount that was drunk. Long story short, they came to an age where I should kill them before their meat would become too "gamey," or else I would have to pay $30 each week to keep these ten lazy bastards for about ten years. But, I had a duck that I liked above all the others. He was all black, and sleeker, and seemingly more-intelligent that the other ducks. I'd raised them all from 3 days since birth, but I had him pegged for a special occasion. The occasion came, in was July 4th, and I wanted to treat my parents, who were coming over, so I went to kill the duck. Usually, it doesn't go this way. In short, you chop off their head, or blow their brains out. The idea is to make it as painless as possible for them, because that makes it less painful for you, too. This guy, I got a good grip on. I put his head over the block, and WHAM! Chopped his head clean off. And it sat there with its eyes open. Usually, I have a good hold of the body, but this one got loose, somehow, and it ran and flapped, ran and flapped, round and round the barn. I was mortified. It was the worst slaughter ever. The carcass was just hopping headless around the barn, while the eyes on the head were wide open. That duck hopped a near-50' circle. Somehow, the body hopped and flapped and landed exactly right next to the head. And the eyes closed... forever. I still eat meat, but that showed me that there's some sort of non-brain, non-body connection. That's changed the way that I think about everything.

Clapton/ The Band and? Help old timers
Who is Yuri? replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Not sure if any of you remember the epic and transcendental band from Jamestown called Zeta Cauliflower. On about their only album release Big Blue Ball, one of their members, I won't say who, was so inspired to step up the mic, during the song (Or That), and say, "I dedicate this song to My Mom... for F-ing me into this World!" I thought that was the coolest thing ever. -
I'm an English major too, sir. Yes, it's true we're jobless, so to speak, but I've never ever corrected anyone for punctuation or grammar. In my enlightened opinion, Real True English majors are more than capable of digesting Cockney, Redneck, Jive, Cajun, and our absolute favorite is wading though absolute Jibberish. We've taken courses in Linguistics, you see... It's the jobless History majors that you need to address your concerns to, Mr. OP. It's their training to remind you of useless irrelevant "facts," and they are more than gleeful to remind you on such-and-such a date, when you spelled such as suck or some such irrespectual thing. Anyone for tennis, or a spot of tea?

I appreciate this thread. I've heard alot of Clapton in my day, but I'm only in my 30's. This Rich Stadium concert was before my time here... I saw him twice in 2001. Once in St. Peter's in Russland, and once here in the old hometown, at Marine Midland Arena. This stuck out from that tour. -
Kyle Orton is also 3rd in the NFL in completion percentage (and has zero Superbowl victories).

41 Questions For Pegula To Ask The Dougs
Who is Yuri? replied to WeWantMarangi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One would think he'd be able to self-evaluate from what he did with the Sabres, take a 180, and act quickly. One would think that he'd learn from the Rolston to Nolan transition, take a 180, and hire a big name coach when he does decide to act. I think that he will take the path of least resistance and bow to public pressure. Consistent with his m.o. so far, he'll wait for fan insurrection, give Schwartz a chance, and then hire Reich. -
Shout it from the tops of the tables, just don't call me stupid for being honest! He needs our help.

Brilliant change. Should be adopted across the entire district. It's nearly miraculous to take a local negative and turn it into a positive. Well done. http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/my-view/john-walker-teams-new-nickname-demonstrates-respect-20141015

Classic Mike Schopp... cuts off Terry Peugla...
Who is Yuri? replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The question that begs to be answered here is, "Why did Terry Pegula choose to call The Hobby? "Hey Mario, you may be big, but there's no bigger car guy than me." "Hey Mike..." Sorry if this is too skeptical for the Pegulites and Terryists around here, but I think the regular guy thing is a charade. I looked hard and didn't actually see any real tears in either the Bills or the Sabres press conferences. Maybe one Buffalo will have them photoshoped in. Take the Sabres presser - Perrault is in the front row, and he says, "where's Perreault?" looking around like it was scripted. I could fake cry better, is all I'm saying, and so could my little boy about getting his way on chocolate. Notice the Pegula stare-down on questions that don't worship him. This isn't Schopp's fault, it's Terry's
