They tore it downabout 3 years ago to make way for the new office/retail/resturant building that sits there now. I knew Shores, but it was before my time, we went to brunch there. I did have a few christmas Eve's there. It was old school. The new bar Davids is on part of the land that Shores was on.

Am I the only one who would pay more than $800?
SF Bills Fan replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, that was under the radar. I think they could have gotten much more. -
Yeah, the white women will sympathize cause he's now of their own.

He'll walk. I just wish he would disappear forever. I hate hearing about him.

Oddly enough, the village of OP never had much in the way of bars. There was Rappls for a while and a few on the border of West Senca and OP, but none really right in the town. I think it is because the city fathers there were so uptight. Now there is Eddie's and a new one called David's. As I get older, I don't want to drive as far and when I go back, I stick around that area more. I usually combine my Buffalo trip with a hockey game. Then after, I'll hit 10 places with the night endign at Steak-out.

It's based loosely on his experience in Hollywood. He had a brief cameo in the first episode. The best cameos last season were Gary Busey and Val Kilmer (whom you might not have recognized).

The Lockeroom is something else now. It's a really cool bar/restaurant now. I forgot the name. I was there last summer, it was great. Let's face it, the lockeroom was the epitome of uberjock cheese. Bad music and lots of big guys with bad attitudes wearing stonewashed jeans and cut off sweatshirts in blacklighting. The only reason I went there was to get directions to get away from there.

The Barrel House was always there, but I didn't go there. soem of my canisius friends did. There was another place up the street and I forgot the name (it's gone anyway), it was next to the pizza place. I did go to that one.

Mothers is one of them. I was there at Christmas, it's pretty cool, there were tons of hot chicks prowling. Lot's of cougers, if you know what I mean.

I think Goodbar is something else now. I forgot about the Gate. I hit that one too. The wings there are great. I usually start at Colter Bay then wander to the Gate at some point.

I mainly used to go to Old and New Pink (is that even still around?), Brick Bar, Icon, Colter Bay and Coles. Then a few out in the Southtowns like Rappls (RIP- now Ganers) and Inn Cahoots. I moved to San Francisco just before the whole Chippewa thing, so it's completely different now. There are 10 times the amount of bars and restaurants now. When I go back, I'm starting to feel too old for Chippewa, I go to some of the Elmwood bars and I still hit Colter Bay, Old Pink and Coles. Those places have not changed at all, luckily. Mothers is great too.

What I like about the show is that they really nail the Hollywood politics and egos. I've got a bunch of friends that work in the industry there in various capacities and some at a higher level and I've seen how it operates from up close and they have it right. The writer has obviously played that game and knows how it works. I think Pivens characters is great. My favorite scene is when he storms into the Malibu party to salvage his relationship with Vincent. The guy that plays the main star is so-so. Kevin Connolly is very good. The character I like best besides Ari is Turtle. I think we have all had a Turtle in our lives at some point. The little weasel that glops on for the ride. More Piven will be good for the show. It will need more time to develop, but I think it was great from the start. It'll be the show that gets me through the summer.

(TV)Anyone watch "Hit Me One More Time"
SF Bills Fan replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw Loverboy and almost vomited. I had to change it. The lead singer looked like he ate whoever the younger cheesy guy was that used to sing for them. He sounded weird too. If this is what the summer will offer on TV, then mine will be off. -
peerless price may have to retire
SF Bills Fan replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, Price's time in Buffalo was great for the team. He was a solid player, I don't want to see him have a problem. -
Trust me on this, this is a great show. Here is a great article/review about it. It's from Tim Goodman, the reviewer for the Chronicle, who is really cool. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...DDGP4D190T1.DTL

For those that like this show, it is back on Sunday night. If you haven't seen it, I recommend going out and getting the DVD of the first season, there were 6 episodes. It's a great show about a young actor in Hollywood and his posse. It has Jeremy Piven as his agent. He steals the show. One of the best shows on TV, I think.

What kind of beer do you like?

We are in a much tougher division.

Bu that won't stop them from getting a higher preseason ranking than us. That is always good for a laugh. They could go 1-15 and we could go 15-1 and the next year, the media will have us at 6-10 and the Dolphins and 10-6.
-
That is a very comfortable number. That is due to the efforts of the team to market itself as a regional team. I wonder how many Canadians and people from Rochestser that breaks down into? I am sure we will be in the top 10 for attendance again.
-
I'd say Miami. Williams will make them much better, though. Get ready for every pre-season prediction to place them ahead of us, just beause they are media darlings.
-
Which away games will you be attending? And why?
SF Bills Fan replied to Spikes16's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oakland, because it is right across the Bay. San Diego, I always head south for that one. I love games in that city and this will be my third Bills-Chargers game. New Orleans- never been there for a game. Can't wait. -
(OT)100 Greatest Guitar Players...
SF Bills Fan replied to Zamboni Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
D'oh! No disrespect to Cobain, he was a decent songwriter and Nirvana was a landmark band in the grunge genre and they played together well, but I think even he would have admitted that he couldn't hold a candle to the guitar playing of a good portion of list and certainly not Garcia. This high ranking was done to merely to placate the younger fans of that time. Alomst like a representative vote. -

Cobain should rate an honorable mention at best. -

The more I look at this list, the more I think that it might be the worst "greatest of all time/ranking" list ever done. It should not even have been attempted. I am guessing that the main goal was to create controversy and buzz in order to sell magazines.
