  1. It is so bizarre since it is still only 3:30 out here in San Francisco. Plus it is like 70 degrees. It doesn't feel like fall and it doesn't feel like there should be a Bills game going on shortly.
  2. That playoff game that we lost in '89 (I think). It was the Clay Mathews interception game. I remember their field was basically mud painted green and Webster Slaughter torched us for some big plays. Ronnie Harmon dropped what should have been the winning TD. We were known as the "Bickering Bills" that year. The next year it all got back on track.
  3. I like him- I want him to win.
  4. Agree on all points. But the biggest reason for the loss today is that the secondary is so depleted. That is our major problem right now. Killed us today.
  5. the news here says it is unclear if he will be playing. It is the Colts this week, so they may play him this week and then start the suspension against the Rams the following week. He probably figures heavily into this weeks gameplan already.
  6. Harbaugh is going to kill him. They were given free Uber credit to avoid this type of thing. I just read the SF Chronicle and he was also busted for pot possession.
  7. USA Today expert panel has 4 picking Bills 3 picking Jets. Nobody picked us against Pats and 1 person picked us last week against Panthers. The "experts' are coming around
  8. More chatter this week from the Jets than I can recall in the past few years. They must be pretty nervous about this game.
  9. I'm very pleased with where this team is so far. It's a young team with a rookie coach and they are exceeding expectations. These statistics show it. Maybe they will make the playoffs and maybe not, but if they keep up the progress, this will be a terrific year.
  10. I hope Jimmy Spags loiters here all week.
  11. Come back anytime- good luck with the rest of the season.
  12. Mario was the man today. Barely beat out EJ.
  13. I think it is time for Buffalo reclaim its title as one the loudest stadiums in the league. During the glory years the place was mayhem. It was one of the toughest places to play in the league. I think recently the aura worn away a bit. I'm sick of hearing how loud it is in Seattle. Lets show the rest of the league how loud it can be starting with tomorrow
  14. Good point- but so did the Jets
  15. This is one of handful of weeks where we face an opponent that has extra time to prepare. I hate to think that the Jet staff is already starting to game plan.
  16. Dumb statement considering it was a division game and I think the Bills certainly did want to get them. Maybe it was sloppy conditions, but I think the Bills played better than the Jets and had a chance to win last week whereas Jets never led. Also the Pats looked better last week. What Vince said was gibberish.
  17. They could suit up chimps and Tom Brady would still find a way to win.
  18. I was thinking the same. The car ain't gonna make it. RIP car.
  19. I said same- they designed a game plan to stop Spiller and did. They gambled that we were not going to kill them in the air and we didn't. There were a few nice passes that were brought back by penalties and Stevie dropped that one drive killer, otherwise their gamble may have lost. Their two scoring drives were also after we handed them some nice field position. I have not watched over again. I hate watching losses on replay. Time to focus on Panthers
  20. BTW- nice photo- you picked the perfect one to post!
  21. I know nothing of the Panthers other than Cam Newton is QB and that the D is good, so thanks for some insight. i think this will be a close game, as you said. I am hoping that EJ turns out to be a Cam Newton caliber player. We will have a little advantage with it being in Buffalo as it caused problems for Brady at times (fumble at the 1, for example). You should come up for the game, this is a great time of year to attend a Bills game in Buffalo.
  22. Pats- we want to get ahead of the Jets and need them to lose. I only will root for Pats in this type of scenario.
  23. I saw that 65k figure cited and knew there was a mistake. The stadium needs 71k for a sell out. My buddy at the game said he didn't see any empty seats. Is this week a sell out? Typically all the early games are regardless of opponent.
  24. Clock management. It was odd to have a rookie first game qb run no huddle. I know we have the youth and the speed. But we don't have to prove it by playing no huddle all the time. In the fourth quarter we needed to eat the clock up. With 5:42 we coukd have taken it way down, run a measured offense and even close and a field goal was enough. oh we rookie coach will learn. Positives outweigh negatives today. I look for good rebound next week.
