  1. A few games ago I would have said we would be destroyed, now I say we hang tough and it is 31-27 Saints with another close finish.
  2. I thought the same thing. He didn't retreat or get intimidated. He got fired up and channeled it into some good play. in fact he, Fred and Mario all seized control of the team and seemed to step it up as game progressed. Particularly Thad.
  3. I said the same thing to some friends Sunday. We could easily be 7-0 or 0-7. It has been a crazy year. I think we are exactly where I'd expect us to be in our rebuilding this year. Except EJ has been injured. I would love to see an 9-7 record and it is not out of the question, bit 8-8 is more realistic. They are playing entertaining football with an opportunity to win every weekend.
  4. Since they have been bad for so long, they have been left of the list of teams that get Monday and Sunday night exposure as tgey should. But this particular team is entertaining emough to warrant a prime time game. If they surprise everyone and win a ton if games and have a shot at the playoffs, they may get cherry picked for a late season prime time game. If they continue to show promise, then next year I bet they get a Monday it Sunday.
  5. Falling on it was the right thing. He nearly overran it. If it had been flubbed and not recovered who knows what would have happened. Probably no victory
  6. I have never been, but I feel like Miami is a town of come late and leave early blasé fans.
  7. After the next 3 games the schedule eases up and 8-8 is a real possibility. I know it sounds silly, but I would be extremely pleased at 8-8 with continued development and improvement. I've seen enough this year, even with some tough losses, to think that the team is on the right track.
  8. They need Byrd, not a receiver. Their secondary got torched several times last night
  9. You and I think alike.
  10. We can't get this team altogether at once. We find a few pieces of the puzzle and a few others go missing. We are cursed
  11. It is so bizarre since it is still only 3:30 out here in San Francisco. Plus it is like 70 degrees. It doesn't feel like fall and it doesn't feel like there should be a Bills game going on shortly.
  12. That playoff game that we lost in '89 (I think). It was the Clay Mathews interception game. I remember their field was basically mud painted green and Webster Slaughter torched us for some big plays. Ronnie Harmon dropped what should have been the winning TD. We were known as the "Bickering Bills" that year. The next year it all got back on track.
  13. I like him- I want him to win.
  14. Agree on all points. But the biggest reason for the loss today is that the secondary is so depleted. That is our major problem right now. Killed us today.
  15. the news here says it is unclear if he will be playing. It is the Colts this week, so they may play him this week and then start the suspension against the Rams the following week. He probably figures heavily into this weeks gameplan already.
  16. Harbaugh is going to kill him. They were given free Uber credit to avoid this type of thing. I just read the SF Chronicle and he was also busted for pot possession.
  17. USA Today expert panel has 4 picking Bills 3 picking Jets. Nobody picked us against Pats and 1 person picked us last week against Panthers. The "experts' are coming around
  18. More chatter this week from the Jets than I can recall in the past few years. They must be pretty nervous about this game.
  19. I'm very pleased with where this team is so far. It's a young team with a rookie coach and they are exceeding expectations. These statistics show it. Maybe they will make the playoffs and maybe not, but if they keep up the progress, this will be a terrific year.
  20. I hope Jimmy Spags loiters here all week.
  21. Come back anytime- good luck with the rest of the season.
  22. Mario was the man today. Barely beat out EJ.
  23. I think it is time for Buffalo reclaim its title as one the loudest stadiums in the league. During the glory years the place was mayhem. It was one of the toughest places to play in the league. I think recently the aura worn away a bit. I'm sick of hearing how loud it is in Seattle. Lets show the rest of the league how loud it can be starting with tomorrow
  24. Good point- but so did the Jets
  25. This is one of handful of weeks where we face an opponent that has extra time to prepare. I hate to think that the Jet staff is already starting to game plan.
