  1. Glad this is in Buffalo. also after a bye is another plus. Very winnable. Haven't really done analysis yet. I am thinking we can get to Alex Smith. Charles is scary
  2. With each wek I'm becoming more convinced we found a real gem here in Orton. It would be awesome if this developed into of situation like a Kurt Warner or Rich Gannon where they bounced around with various teams and then found greatness late in their careers.
  3. You are probably right- he is from the Bay Area and went to Cal. The Raiders need him and would overlook his antics.
  4. I went with Browns on mine this week
  5. Also wide open: my mouth as I was in complete shock.
  6. Orton seems to thrive under pressure. He has had two incredibly clutch drives to win games. Perhaps we need to somehow set up every game so it comes down to us facing a surmountable lead with 2 minutes to go and we start on the 15 yard line.
  7. My name is Terry and I sign your checks. If you want me to keep signing them, go out there and earn it. Now I will go to my box and drink champagne and smoke cigars. See you suckas! (that last part is what I would say)
  8. I took TN. Take anyone playing the Jags unless it is a good team and you want to save them for use later.
  9. I'm thinking polite applause, at most. Possibly a golf clap.
  10. "http://sports.yahoo....DVUmekAqz9XNyoA just sayin" I read this yesterday- it sounds like they are trying there, at least. The tarps were pathetic. He pumped done money in the stadium, but my guess is that his long term plan involves London.
  11. I was thinking the same. I was worried he may go through the motions and could fall back and say "I just got the job". He was clearly trying to make the statement that he deserves the job abd he was all business.
  12. That guy was showboating the whole game. He made a few big plays, but he did it after everything. I think our guys took note- at one point, someone put a heavy smackdown on him and it was satisfying to watch. He was quieter after it. Anyway, we won, he lost.
  13. Exactly- I thought of that too. The Raiders also had good years with Gannon after he bounced around. You win with the best combo of players you can get out there.
  14. Keep it out of the hands of the local government or they will treat it like their own pork barrel.
  15. I wonder if this will make other owners and even the NFL think about stepping up their game.
  16. This guy Jed needed a better beat down. Start another but consult here first before replying.
  17. I'm one of the few people on this board that likes Sully's articles more regularly. Definitely one of his better in a while.
  18. The yips were exactly what I was thinking after last week. His confidence is gone right now.
  19. We will win Pats and Jets at home, Vikings, Browns and Oakland. And Pats and Vikes are very tough and we could lose. This season went from rosy and 9-10 wins with an AFC East division win and the playoffs to bad really quick. Too bad because the division is there for the taking.
  20. I have a bad feeling he will be sacked a lot. Hope I'm wrong. Detroit is a bad team to measure this against since they have a good pass rush.
  21. I wouldn't say it ruins my week, but it tempers my enthusiasm for football. If they win, I can't get enough. I analyze the Bills win, watch replays and watch Monday night football. If they lose, I block it out. I'll get excited again on Saturday evening.
  22. That's a tough road- I see a potential for 8 losses there. We face a lot of the same teams. Our last 4 games are brutal minus the Raiders. I'd love to see Cincy walk into NE and destroy them. Should happen but they are probably studying Cincys play book as I write. So we know what will happen.
  23. The guy was a total class act and was a good fit for the city of Buffalo. The NFL stands for Not For Long and that is how it went, sadly. I wish him success in Houston. Except this weekend, I hope he has the worst game of his life. Then the Texans can win out.
