  1. I doubt it would fluctuate that much. I don't think that many Bills actually live in OP. Mario Williams technically lived in East Aurora, for example. There are lots of very wealthy people that live in OP that are not high profile, but make millions too. I remember growing up in OP and we had a crazy mix of people from all income levels in school. I had friends who lived way out on Cole Road that were farmers that were pretty dirt poor and I had friends with dads that were banking and steel execs.
  2. Buffalow? Not really necessary.
  3. He is totally tanked. BB is looking at him like is nuts.
  4. I do recall a lot of enthusiasm for the Braves during that great stretch in the 90's when they won a lot. when teams win people notice. Maybe this is the catalyst for the Falcons to become a huge deal. The Bills were not exactly killing it with enthusiasm before Jim Kelly arrived and the winning started.
  5. Total arrogance. But there is a grain of truth to the idea that Atlanta is not exactly a passionate town for pro sports.
  6. Ugh- if Houston had any offense, they could have won that game. If Pitt gets through the Chiefs, they could and should beat the Pats.
  7. Disagree on the Bills being a casualty of downsizing. The NFL likes Buffalo as a market and it is very strong regionally. It would look bad to take a team away from one of the most loyal fan bases in the league and one that fills the stadium every Sunday no matter how dismal the team Plays. New Orleans is a similar market. Agree that the Jags would be gonzo in a heartbeat though.
  8. No downsizing, but it would be better if the teams thinking of moving or currently moving went to better or strategic markets. Chargers to Mexico City, Jags to London and Raiders to Toronto.
  9. I'd take a shot at him and see if you could have Jim help mentor him. I see a lot of upside with this guy if he can cool some of the off field antics. Jim Kelly was a hot head too and it actually helped fuel his on-field performance.
  10. Kelly definitely benefited from going to the USFL for a few years. Troy Aikman is a good example- he had miserable stats the first few years. If he came along now, he might not make it because there is less patience to let a guy develop. Of course, I'm sure the powers that be saw the potential in a guy like Troy and it is just not there with a guy like EJ.
  11. We were ahead 24-9 and I was in the stadium- Raiders fans were patting my back and shaking my hand and cursing their team. I left because I knew we would lose. I just sensed it. I got on BART home. My expectations were met. I just knew. we are not a team of destiny or consequence.
  12. They should make a reality series based on Jordan Gay's hiring and firings. Does he just sit home by the phone?
  13. Agreed- I said somewhere above that a weakened Pats squad actually hurts the Bills now. We need their help. Sad thing is that if that Pats had lost some ganes during the suspension, with these injuries, there may have been a legit chance to unseat them.
  14. Even winning out, we still need some help.
  15. Damn. We really need Pats to beat Denver and Miami to help us along in playoff chances. Of course, the Pats still get is in every way.
  16. Agreed- this isn't a must win for us this weekend, but Miami is a must lose against the Ravens. If we lose and Miami does too, our chances at 10-6 are still very good.
  17. Cautiously optimistic, but likely something like 30-20 Raiders. Would be ecstatic to be very wrong.
  18. Same result. I've played around with it a little and with a loss this week but wins the rest of the way after that, we should make the playoffs. I used a setting where the likeliest outcome is selected (win percentage). I also made a few adjustments here and there, but I think that our chances if we go 10-6 are much better than people seem to believe. That said, beating Pittsburgh, Miami and even the Jets in NYC is a tough achievement, so 10-6 is not going to be easy.
  19. 10-6 with us losing to Raiders, but most of the other games going in the likeliest scenario (winning percentage or the home team winning), has the Bills in. I still think that 10-6 is a stretch for us. Both Pitt and Miami will be very tough games.
  20. Incredible post and detail. Great job!
  21. I think Cinci is a winnable game. At start of season I had this game as a loss, but now I lean toward a win. Thought similar with Seahawks game and we should have come out of Seattle with a win. Seattle is tougher than Cinci and we had two weeks to heal and prepare and Cinci has a short week. I think we take this one.
  22. From OP now in San Francisco Ha! But at least you tasted what it would feel like if they won, briefly before the rug got yanked away.
  23. So lame- both of those teams should have lost too. Chiefs have to have the highest percentage of "lucky"wins of any team over the years.
