  1. There is no way they will make the Canadian fans travel further. The new stadium will either be in OP whether a total rebuild across from the old one or an putting 100s of millions into New Era or a new one downtown. I think some of the recent revelations that the Pegula's are buying land at a premium downtown points to the latter.
  2. I forgot there are now direct flights from Buffalo to LA now. Still waiting on the direct San Francisco to Buffalo
  3. I have Redzone and even during live broadcasts, it seems like they will show other teams that are in the redzone over the Bills when they are in the redzone. Last year, there was one day when they were showing another game and the teams were at mid-field while the Bills were in the redzone. Then they showed a quick replay of the Bills touchdown and went back to the other game. I was so pissed I nearly called and cancelled. I get that the Bills are not a top team, but redzone is supposed to be pretty unbiased. At least show a split screen.
  4. Buffalo is a Canadian city that snuck over the border and is sitting quietly in the corner drinking Labatts hoping no one notices they are there.
  5. I see the Bills as extremely safe but you never know in this world. Given how much dedication and money the Pegula's have I cant see them looking at another market and thinking the grass is greener there. I'd say the Bills are 99% safe with 1% reserved for if a meteor or earthquake devastated the area and there was no choice but to leave.
  6. I'd say McCoy only and he is may be the #1 guy at his position.
  7. Outside of the Bills, I like the Pack. Dislike Pats and Cowboys. Used to hate Dolphins and that faded but came back last year when Williams was knocked out. Will root for Saints on occasion.
  8. They better not pick a #2 receiver at 10
  9. There was a stat I saw that showed the most successful teams were teams that had the largest amount of starters that came via the draft. Not surprisingly it was the Pats and Green Bay at the top. The Bills were second from bottom and we had the 2nd lowest number of starters that came via the draft. Whaley was very prone to try to plug holes via FA. Look where this has led us. I'd like to see us rely on the draft. Of course that takes more time, but draft smart and in 2-3 years we should be good. Can Whaley step up?
  10. The Pats were running wind sprints right up until the Super Bowl. Not surprisingly, they were able to push to the end and we saw what happened when the opportunity presented itself. I'd like to see that kind of stuff get put in place in Buffalo. The half ass tackling has to end too. Just basic tweaks that could be huge on Sundays. Rex was lax and we got lax play.
  11. The schedule is brutal next year. I bet we get 3-4 wins at best.
  12. It'll be the Jets or Dolphins. Likely the Dolphins since we played the Jets last year on TNF. TNF features division games alot.
  13. Even a team made of college all-stars would get destroyed by even the lowliest NFL team. The college team may get a field goal or two.
  14. 3 wins next year. The only silly thing is that after 17 years out of the playoffs we still can't figure out how to put on our shoes again.
  15. You have a low tolerance sir
  16. I'd draft him with a low pick. If he ever lived up to potential it could be genius move.
  17. Who is suspiciously from Quincy, MA?
  18. I doubt they would do it. If caught red handed cheating so blatantly at this point it would blow up so badly their legacy would be completely trashed with no hope of recovering.
  19. I'll agree, but it could be worse. The NYC media is way worse. You could win a super bowl and still get murdered by them. Bottom line, the QB is usually going to be the main fall guy when things are not going well. Your failure is the most plain to see. You get the glory but you have to take the lumps.
  20. I agree, I think the city hit rock bottom in the early to mid eighties and was kind of stuck in that rut and stagnation through most of the nineties. Other cities boomed and skylines exploded upwards while Buffalo seemed to tear down more than it built. There is a lot of private and public investment going on now, people putting their own money into infrastructure and projects and getting returns. it just feels like momentum has turned and is sustainable. Even manufacturing is returning with Solar City/Tesla. It's not all great- the east side is not exactly along on the reinasance ride. Taxes are still prohibitive for business. Compared to many other areas, buffalo is doing well. Just need the Bills to catch up now!
  21. Probably right- like Manteca
  22. Id expect it. He doesn't have a filter and is still smarting. No big deal imo
  23. Wow- there were coaches for the coaches it looks like. Lean and mean is where they need to be. Definitely will be leaner without Rob Ryan on staff.
  24. 500k in the Bay area would get you a shoebox near the highway in gangbanger territory. If I could transplant my job to WNY, I'd happily move back. I monitor the news and seems like things are turning around back there. I think Rex's house was in Architectural Digest, I bet they put some good money into it. I agree with a previous poster- 500k would get you all the house you need in WNY. It would be better to buy a second property in FL or a ski cabin/condo rather than go higher.
