  1. I'll likely go since New Orleans is no too far from Austin.
  2. Steelers fans show up in droves no matter what- like army ants. Even if the team is not good- they are there. Bills fans are a bit like that too.
  3. I think the more interesting exercise is to now grade the draft from 3 years ago. Josh Allen, Edmunds. A+ draft.
  4. Wings- in fact, I need to do some research shortly to find a place that is good that delivers wings in Austin.
  5. Rex Ryan totally would have
  6. For those asking where to bet, you can use Bovada and bet online no matter where you are located. They will have these latest line on there now. Remember that the draft will influence the initial over/unders too.
  7. 2 years ago when they had us at 6 I loved the underestimation and disrespect since it was the easiest money I ever made. I wish I'd had a million to lay down that year. Even last year was a good bet. 17 games this year- I still think we cover the over. Also take the Pats under. Again, a great case of the Pats getting too much respect for deeds of the past. They are not that team anymore. Easy cake. I like your handle there IronMaidenBills. Huge Maiden fan
  8. I'll admit that I'm a little nervous to see if this year was an aberration and whether there is a regression. My gut says that there won't be a huge drop off, if any. He showed sustained improvement across the board and the lack of fan noise helped (but helped all QBs last year) and that is not a major reason. The addition of Diggs was a major reason for the improvement. All good QBs have a "go to" high performing receiver. But, Josh learned to trust his playmakers this year which, again, is a skill and he improved there. I'd be more worried about Diggs going down than having fans in stands. You Dolphin co-worker is in a bit of denial and probably deep down realizes that the Dolphins will be in trouble for years unless they get the QB position solved. If Josh Allen has trouble with fans i nthe stands, then I'd like to see how Tua handles it. Hint- Peterman vs Chargers in LA.
  9. I’ll bet the owners of the Argos also see the CFL in Toronto as a barrier to eventually getting the NFL team they really would like to have. If the league ever expanded again I’d think Toronto would be a prime candidate with maybe London, Mexico City and a few US cities in the running.
  10. Willis McGahee never liked being in Buffalo and bad mouthed the town constantly. I saw Billy Joe Hobert's name above a few times and agree there. A few people mentioned Kelly and he was a cocky bastard back in the day. I met him when I was younger and on that day he was a great guy. I think if you caught him with a hang over, he'd snarl.
  11. I'd just keep it at Washington Football Team. That guy trademarked all the names and claims he doesn't want money, but he wants all the money.
  12. His goodbye tweet is getting lots of love from the Mafia and fans. I remember the the tweet he put out when he found that huge spider in his closet in Buffalo a few years back. That just popped in my head for some reason.
  13. Did not see this coming at all
  14. This is a lot of conjecture with no details or proof. I'm not going to believe a rambling bizarre tweet at this point.
  15. I agree- I didn't like him when he was with the Pats, but that was more me not liking the Pats. I don't think he is a bad person
  16. Assuming they go to full capacity in the fall, if we largely get past COVID, I would bet that season ticket demand may be the highest that it has ever been.
  17. I was never a huge fan of the red helmets. I’d be happy to let those stay permanently in storage.
  18. Enough of this crap. Seems like everyone has hurt feelings over any little thing these days. People need to worry about stuff that matters. Shut up lady and go away.
  19. I hear you. I'm more Buffalo than San Francisco if that makes sense. It wasn't money that drove me away- I couldn't take the bad city leadership, the smug and holier than thou attitude of some groups and the rising crime. People were not neighborly and friendly there. When I got there in '94 it was not at all like the city it is today. I kept my place there, but I'll never live in it again. If a bunch of the types that I was hoping to leave behind start showing up en masse in Austin, I'll head to Buffalo and go full circle. Oddly, it is going to be colder in Austin this weekend than it will be in Buffalo- go figure.
  20. I'd take him, provided it didn't cost too much against the cap.
  21. I hear you. I was there 25 years and moved to Austin a year and a half ago. San Francisco went down the tubes big time. It will always be a great city to go back to and visit but it became intolerable and unlivable in the end. Homelessness was a piece of the problem, more of a symptom, but not the main factor.
  22. Also good at managing through pain, apparently.
  23. I was at the game, in the upper deck. I stuck around, though me and my friend considered leaving after the quick pick 6 after the half. I think there were more people in the stadium after than to start with- people were coming from all over since it was not on TV
  24. We would have gotten beat. I was relieved it wasn’t us out there. Agree with everyone above that the Chiefs got away with all the holding against us but it caught up to them tonight. Thing is, they were holding like mad tonight and still Tampa was gettting through. Tom said he is coming back- don’t be surprised to see them at the top of the NFC again
  25. Marty could turn it around and get a bunch of wins, but he never won in the playoffs. That was my impression and recollection. We would have gotten out of our rut sooner, but I doubt he would have taken down the Pats at that time.
