LOST - havn't discussed in a while
SF Bills Fan replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great show, I thought Charlie was a goner. A few episodes back, the French woman and Sayid heard roaring outside the dugout and she told Sayid that they would be lucky if it were only the bears. What's worse than a rampaging polar bear? Very curious about the creatures on the isalnd. Sayid heard voices all around him when he was running through the storm escaping the French woman. That was creepy. There seem to be many more people on the island than just the French woman and Ethan. Locke is great. He's a collection agent for a box company? Locke Box. Get it? Ha. I can't wait for this show to return. I guess it is January 5th. Long time to wait. -
Have sex with as many women as possible, massive intake of substances and tons of booze. Hopefully I wouldn't get killed by someone that held a grudge for something I did in the past. There would be lots of that going on, I would imagine.

I remember discussing this stock with soemone on this board at Halloween when it was 3.90. Wish I'd gotten some then. This is headed to double digits soon.

(OT) Anchor Bar, Buffalo special on Food Network.
SF Bills Fan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a fan of Duffs (with all due respect to Anchor Bar). Duffs opened southtowns location on the West Seneca/OP border, so it is easy to get them when I'm back. -
You are right, good memory. We still were screwed.

Yeah, Feely just stopped. Didn't even try. It was laughable.

It seems like we tend to be on the receiving end of bad calls more than other teams. Obviously, I'm a fan and my judgment is clouded, but it just seems that way. The New England game a few years ago was one, then we got the Raiders game this year. The New England "just give it to them" game meant we had to go to Tennessee that year (we all know what happened there) and this Raider game might cost us the postseason. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I was there that day and, at the time, I didn't realize the calls were blown. Obviously, the Raiders didn't show replays of any of those. I couldn't tell on the TD, as it was a big jumble at the line. The kick return that they called holding on, I didn't know that it was a bogus call until I saw analysis on TV. I DID see the safety that was not called properly. I even yelled out that the flag meant that it should have been a safety. Gannon was claerly in the endzone! It just boggles my mind that they didn't make the correct call! Were these guys from Oakland! Even the Raider fans knew that it was a safety. -

That Raider game bothers me to no end. I'm still bitter and if that costs us the playoffs, I'm going to be extremely angered. -
If we win out, it will be a great achievement and I think it will go along way toward a good year next year. It's always a big positive for a team to finish strong. This team seems to improve every week. It would be painful to miss the playoffs, but if we do go 10-6 and still find ourselves out, I wouldn't be awfully disappointed. I'd love to make the playoffs this year, but I think this team has got some very good years ahead. We will be a playoff team next year.

If we played New England at home...
SF Bills Fan replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to think we can win. I would imagine that Belichick would devise a plan that would stop Willis and force Bledsoe to beat them. That's what happened last time and we saw the result. I was surprised becasue the Pats run D is a little soft. The Bills have played much better since that game. If the game were in Buffalo, we'd have a chance. But, think how sweet it would be if we made the playoffs and knocked the Pats out? I got to get my head out of the clouds. -

I thought GTRs was gone? Damn, I haven't been there in over 10 years. I always stick down by the river front. I'm checking that place out at Christmas. Maybe post Niners-Bills game. -

Can you give a hint as to where this club is? Maybe one letter or two? If I lived in Canada, I'd start a "Volpe Must Go! In With Sgro!" campaign. -

When they start putting the restrictions on that.... then the red button of panic will be pushed. -

As long as there is still a strong supply of French-Canadian strippers from Montreal traveling throughout the country, all will be well. I expect my annual trip up at Christmas will not be affected. -
I went to a wedding in Pittsburgh in June. It's a nice town. However, there was nothing there that would make me say that they should look down on the city of Buffalo. They are similar cities in many ways. If anything, the fact that it is a land locked city and we have Lake Erie should be a huge plus for Buffalo. Let them come out here to San Francisco and see what a real city is. Those guys sound like morons. They'll be crying and whining when th Steelers find a way to get kicked out of the playoffs.

The Dolphins are playing bad football and they are banged up. We are riding a high, but anytime these teams get together, it's a battle (usually). Especially on their turf. I just have a bad feeling on this one. I could see this one ending up 10-7 Dolphins. That's not my official prediction (that'll be tomorrow after soem beers and sense get knocked into me). Maybe I ate a bad burrito, but I've got a funny feeling here, like we've chalked this up as a W too early.

He must have wrote this from his double wide in Homestead. I'd be bitter too if I had 3 teeth and starred in 5 episodes of cops. Clearly, he did most of his schooling in FL.

Recommendation on Hotel In San Fran
SF Bills Fan replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll look into a few things and send you a pm a little later. There are many good hotels in the Union Sq. area. That is where I would stay if I came to town because it's a great time of year to be down there. The stadium will be easy to get to as well. I will get you in touch with some people and the North Star crowd that will be around here for the game. I'll be in Buffalo. They should be able to help with tickets. Given the state of the Niners, tickets should be easy to come by. -
If the Bills played the Raiders now

Well, when the replays show that we scored 9 more points (assuming we get the extra point and with the safety) that didn't go on the board, then I think the refs blew it. -

I agree. I can't get too mad about that Pats game. Sometimes you just lose and that's it. That game was one of those. I wish we played the Patriots sometime before the end of the season, but that is how the schedule goes. We have many winnable games ahead and who knows what can happen. I will guarantee you that we will not start off the season next year as poorly. I'd bet money on that. this team has a good future in store. -

Add in Jax and we're right in the midle of the playoff hunt. The Raider game is the one that really bothers me because there were so many bad calls.
