  1. If Marv had drafted Davin Joseph at #8, many board 'experts' would have asked for his head or simply killed themselves. Their mock drafts didn't say so!!!
  2. Any draft grades before the rookies play a NFL game mean nothing. My lucky 8 ball does as good grading as these 'experts'.
  3. Just show a mock draft which has FEW picks which was actually notable drafted higher. And you haven't responded the mock drafts which have Whinter at #8 and McCargo at late 1st round. Don't these mock drafts count?
  4. Really!? Show a mock draft which only has few notable exceptions. How many mock drafts have Mario Williams at #1 overall? How about Leinart in #10? How about Chad Jackson in second round? How about Winston Justice in second round? How about Ashton Youboty in third round? How about D.Bing and G.Watson not drafted after round three? These are the picks which are way off. The Whitner and McCargo picks are not that "off" compared to above examples. (The only person said McCargo was projected to 3rd round was Kiper and he said that was "some time ago") Also, don't forget that there're mock drafts which have Whitner goes to Bills at #8 and McCargo goes to late 1st round.
  5. Right, the words they used were "could have", "probably", and "maybe". How do they know the players would be still available several picks later? Last time I checked, they were not in ANY of the war rooms just like all the fans.
  6. See you use the word "probably", do you have more concrete evidences that Bills could still draft Whinter after trading down or draft McCargo without trading up? Were you in the war room? or the whole thing is just your speculation and you badmouth OBD based on your imagination.
  7. Clayton's opinion means nothing. He's only correct in half of the time, about the same ratio of my lucky 8 ball.
  8. Frostee Rucker was drafted by Cincinnati at 91st pick.
  9. Are you saying you are better than Marv in evaluating college prospects? When is the last time you worked for a pro football team? Between Marv's and your evaluations, it's not hard to figure which one to trust?
  10. You think you're the only one? And how does this have anything to do with the draft?
  11. You make too much sense to him.
  12. and you need to create a new thread when other board experts already had many "idiot Marv" ones?
  13. http://www.buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?post_id=163 But several franchises, particularly those seeking a one-gap tackle, have now moved him ahead of players such as Michigan's Gabe Watson, Miami's Orien Harris and Texas' Rodrique Wright. Two general managers asked this week about McCargo had him graded in the lower third of the first round, and acknowledged his stock is rising.
  14. But your opinions on the remaining OT and OG prospects suggest you should stop pretending you're an expert.
  15. I'm not the one pretending I'm an expert on evaluating prospects. On the other hand.....
  16. Your opinions prove that all the board experts should stop reading mock drafts and pretend they know football more than the real NFL scouts.
  17. Say what? say you don't have any clues of these players or you didn't see their names on all the 1st round mock drafts you read?
  18. You just took away the only occassion these board experts can pretend they know something because they read lots of mock drafts.
  19. but...but...they read mock drafts and are experts on evaluating prospects.
  20. Please reason how the performance of past DTs guarantees the DT(s) drafted after 1st round THIS YEAR will be bust(s)?
  21. Do you still think the draft is only one round? What makes you think Marv won't address the DT position in following rounds? And let me remind you that our "hall of fame coach" has evaluated college prospects for a long time and has much more REAL football experience than you and me.
  22. What makes you think Ngata and Bunkley are better bets than Whinter? The media and mock drafts say so? What makes you know much better than a HOF coach? because you stay in Holiday Inn last night?
  23. He must read lots of mock drafts which only cover the 1st round to make he believe the NFL draft has been changed to be only one round. Wait and see who Marv drafts next and how the DT position is addressed.
  24. Last time I checked, there're seven rounds in the draft. Since when a DT drafted after 1st round is guaranteed to become a bust?
  25. but...but...most of the fans on the board read much more mock drafts and are experts to evaluate a prospect.
