  1. Like I said, Saints would end up with two very young tackles earning left tackle money and one of them would have to play right tackle. They have moved J.Brown to left tackle and can draft a very good right tackle in later rounds. You don't draft a right tackle in #2 overall. How about drating D'Brick to be their LT and moving Brown back to RT? This also doesn't make sense, Brown is paid a lot to be a LT, he hasn't shown anything that he can't handle LT. I don't think Saint has given up Brown on LT. I still see Saints draft Mario Williams in #2 or draft A.J. Hawk after trading down few spots. Of course, if they can't find any trade partner, they may draft A.J. Hawk in #2, which is a lttile too high for Hawk though.
  2. BlueFire proposed to Vince Young
  3. Saints can address their backup QB and right tackle issues in later rounds. They don't need to use the #2 overall pick to draft their franchise QB. They already have a franchise QB in Brees. Drafting a second tier QB in later rounds make more sense to them.
  4. HOU - Reggie Bush NO - Mario Williams TEN - Vice Young NYJ - Matt Leinart GB - A.J. Hawk SF - Vernon Davis OAK - Michael Huff BUF - D'Brick Ferguson
  5. I haven't seen a report saying D'Brick is the best left tackle prospect in a few years. Many reports say D'Brick is the best left tackle this year, but he isn't as good as W.Jones, J.Odgen, and other top left tackles when they came out of college. On Jammal Brown, although he didn't play at LT position before, Seaon Payton has said Brown would be moved to left tackle next season. Besides, if Saints draft D'Brick, they'll have two tackles earning big rookie contracts. One of them will play right tackle with left-tackle money. It doesn't make any sense cap-wise.
  6. I think Saints want Mario more than D'Brick. They just drafted Jammal Brown as #13 overall last year. Sean Payton said Brown would be moved to left tackle. You don't normally draft two top tackles at high first round in two consecutive years, you'll end up with a right tackle earning left-tackle money. Even Saints aren't comfortable on Jon Stinchcomb in right tackle, they may address this issue in later rounds instead of #2 overall. On the other hand, although G.Grant and W.Smith are also former first rounders, they didn't play to their potentials. Besides, they were drafted several years before Brown and Saints may have done waiting for one of them, possibly Smith. I can see Saints draft Mario and, if they trade down, it won't be to a team taking Mario.
  7. Will you marry him?
  8. Do you mean the score after he reportedly took the same Wonderlic questions the second time? I still can't understand how he got only 16 if the report was true.
  9. Sounds like Soprano3695
  10. JP wan't a rookie, but he had one year of significant play time like A.Smith.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2406714 This should offset their drafting of D'Brick.
  12. This brings up an interesting subject. Many people know we should not judge a QB, like A.Smith, after one year. But many Bills fans have already given up on Losman after his first season with siginificant play time. Is this because fans tend to use higher standard on their beloved teams?
  13. You're right. But what I was trying to say was that the reports didn't conflict with the previous ones. Predict the draft pick based on what Fisher and Chow said may not be enough. There're so many things going on before draft. Jets said they wouldn't trade up, who knows how true it is. Now Titans bring V.Young into the mix. It's so hard to predict the first 4 draft picks, not to mention the #8. Two more weeks and we'll know the answers.
  14. On few occasions. I wouldn't write him off after his first year, but I'd say he has lots of areas to improve.
  15. Losman. I had to watch almost all 49ers games (thanks to my wife), and A.Smith was terrible. I was also wondering how the 49ers fans felt like when seeing his performance and realizing they spent a first overall pick on him. (and no, I didn't dare to ask my wife ) Based on his plays in his first year, I won't even put him in the same class of T.Couch.
  16. Maybe. However, most reports predict Titans will draft Leinart based on two things: First, the history between N.Chow and Leinart, and second, Fisher and Chow realy like him. I didn't find many reports about what their owner and GM said.
  17. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../604130410/1027 -------------------------------------------------- Indications are the Titans, who have the No. 3 pick overall, are largely split on the two players but are beginning to lean toward Young. The debate will probably continue right up to April 29 when the draft begins. -------------------------------------------------- On rotoworld.com: -------------------------------------------------- Many believe that GM Floyd Reese and owner Bud Adams want Young. Coach Jeff Fisher and coordinator Norm Chow may lean Matt Leinart, but their votes don't count as much. -------------------------------------------------- This should help our draft, it'll be hard for Jets to pass Leinart. teams may also trade up to draft Leinart and one of the top rookies may fall to us.
  18. When I was starting to wonder where the Young lovers were, his name finally showed up in the 17th post. It's not too bad though, usually his name came up very quickly. 17th? this must have something to do with the global warming.
  19. Relax, the contract is NOT guaranteed.
  20. What's the line that Price is still with the team when season starts?
  21. You lost credit on this statement. What are you going to do with the current QBs in our roster? We already have three QBs and two of them are project-in-progress.
  22. No wonder you can't remember, because we got a 3rd round in this year's draft for Henry.
  23. No Vince Young please. We have 3 QBs in the roster and 2 of them are project-in-progress.
