Did the Bills really reach for T.J. Graham?
syhuang replied to Damond Talbot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Forget about Russell Wilson, I guess we should have drafted Jimmy Clausen 2 years ago and be set for 15 years. Almost every draft guru and pre-draft ranking had him at top 10. According to people on this board, these pre-draft rankings are what really matter and project where a player would be drafted and how good the player would become perfectly. Damn, when will our FO learn and start making draft picks based on pre-draft rankings exactly? /sarcasm off -

rotoworld link An NFL executive tells Sirius XM Radio's Ross Tucker that a suspension for conduct detrimental or substance abuse defaults Marshawn Lynch's four-year, $31 million contract and voids guaranteed money. If true, the contract structure was an incredibly prudent move by Seattle, realizing the suspension risk inherent in locking up a player who had already run afoul of the league's personal conduct policy on multiple occasions. Seahawks brass may have to confer with ownership to determine the future of their offensive focal point after his recent DUI. The contract Lynch signed in March contains $17 million in guarantees. Rookie Robert Turbin should be owned in all fantasy leagues while we await Lynch's fate with the organization and the NFL. Jul 18 - 9:35 AM

[closed]Tebow; DO NOT LOG IN TO NFL.COM

I for one like to see him getting media attention but just change channels when seeing anything related to him on my tv. The more attention Tebow gets, the more messy jest will be. -
TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)
syhuang replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like Tebow is the one lying. From rotoworld (and Tebow's new conference) Speaking at his introductory Jets press conference Monday, Tim Tebow said "whatever my role is, I'm going to try to expand it." Tebow also confirmed the Broncos gave him some say in where he would be traded, and insisted he has a "great relationship" with Mark Sanchez. He said he would have "loved" to be traded to his hometown of Jacksonville, but that he was most intrigued about being a Jet thanks in part to his relationship with coach Rex Ryan. The two share an agent. If the media throng in attendance was any indication, "Tebowmania" is going to be taken to a whole new level in 2012. -

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
syhuang replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
link Kyle Williams began to believe this was going to happen at dinner Tuesday night when Mario kept directing the conversation to the scheme of the interior line, to the chemistry in the defensive line meeting room and to the mood of the locker room as a whole. Then, after dinner, rather than retreat to his hotel, they drove back to the Bills’ facility around until 11, and just hung around comfortably. Throughout Mario’s constantly extending trip, there were more questions for the players, most of them about relationships on and off the field. With the coaches, there was intense film study to cement an understanding of how he could fit in with an interior crew of Kyle Williams and budding star Marcell Dareus. The fact that Buffalo isn’t known for nightclubs or gated communities or soothing December temperatures wasn’t discussed much, if at all. This was about football. This was about finding a comfortable place. “He doesn’t seem like anyone who needs the flash or the attention, big lights,” Kyle Williams told WGR’s Howard Simon Show. “If he comes here, the kind of noise we could make with our play, and what our D-line could do, I think the stir that could cause us would be enough for him. “His thing [was], ‘I want to go somewhere that I can be a puzzle that gets somebody over the hump or be somebody who puts a team on the next level,’ ” Kyle Williams said. -
Brady admits to throwing the ball away
syhuang replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don't have to, refs just need to call it according to rulebook. As long as the QB is not out of pocket and under pressure, and Refs think there is no realistic chance of completion, they can call it an intentional grounding. intentional grounding Intentional Grounding of Forward Pass Intentional grounding of a forward pass is a foul: loss of down and 10 yards from previous spot if passer is in the field of play or loss of down at the spot of the foul if it occurs more than 10 yards behind the line or safety if passer is in his own end zone when ball is released. Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion. Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line). -
really interesting point about 12 men on the field
syhuang replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense can't keep doing that or put 15 or 20 people out there. Once offense notices it, they can simply spike the ball and get free 5 yards without losing much of time. Not sure if Brady noticed Tuck was running out of field in that play and decided to take a chance on the long pass. The reason 8 seconds off the clock was because Brady threw a long pass. 12 men on the field didn't cause that. -
chill out, guys. Why are people being so defensive when talking about draft position? OP never says to root for Bills to lose. He says "So in summary root for Ind, Pitt, Balt, and Houston to improve our draft spot ahead of KC.". Why are people thinking it's so evil to root for Ind, Pitt, Bal, and Hou in week 17 when none of them plays our divisional rivals?

WOW, in this post, a Raiders is arguing that Pro Bowl selection is purely based on how good a player is, but never mention it also bases on how famous the player is. This shows how much Raiders fans know about football......

and did you check Chiefs injury report after the game?

Kevin Boss is "limited" in today's practice, again. Hue Jackson himself said he "hope" to have Boss on Sunday. It also doesn't look good for him. But hey, with the incredible depth Raiders have in all positions, a 50% Boss or replacing him by your 3rd TE isn't a big deal.

Maybe he just doesn't want to pay child support to his ex-wife by claiming that, but... Former Ravens DB Chris McAlister claims he is already broke In the docs, Chris -- a 1st round NFL draft pick in 1999 who played in the league for 10 years -- states, "I have been unemployed since 2009. I have no income." He adds, "I live in my parent's home. My parents provide me with my basic living expenses as I do not have the funds to do so."

Whitner stats - Putrid as a playmaker
syhuang replied to Happy Days Lois & Clark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Earlier when it's reported Whitner signed with Bengals, rotoworld listed an interesting stat (which most Bills fans already know) link Bengals signed SS Donte Whitner to a two-year contract. Whitner, who just turned 26, will add competition to a Bengals safety position that was projected to produce Reggie Nelson and Chris Crocker as starters. Both Nelson and Crocker are now on notice. Whitner led all NFL defensive backs in tackles (140) last season, and run support has long been his primary strength. Pro Football Focus graded Whitner 70th out of 85 qualifying safeties in coverage. The Bengals should make sure to keep him in the box, playing strong safety across from the winner of the Nelson-Crocker camp battle
