Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades

We are doing that only because of Allen and Diggs. But we aren’t winning the super bowl because our overall drafting hasn’t been good enough. -
Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades

It’s about knowing when to trade. Obviously you want to keep good players you draft, but a good GM is one that can replace that draft pick with something better before that players value falls off. Yep exactly, you understand the game. It’s about maximizing value that you can use to sustain a team for the future. Use the players you drafted but know when to trade or re-sign until you believe their value is still good until you need to move on. -

The problem is we don’t take the right one. Just like I was pretty high on Tariq Woolen. Just like I was high on Breece Hall. Just like I’m high on Avila, Hyatt and Flowers. Hope Beane listens to me. Who needs the Double Tree when we have the Hyatt.- 106 replies

Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades

Nothing wrong with keeping gems, but a big part of being a GM is knowing when to hold them and when to trade to optimize peak value. We are NOT attrition in well enough as we cycle and it’s why we are beginning to have cap issues again. Cap issues are directly tied to poor drafting. We should have traded Milano and Stevie while they still had a net positive gain. -
Over the years we’ve seen other teams draft late rounders and turn them into HOFs or trade them for 1-3rd round picks. I can hardly think of anyone we have drafted that we ended up flipping for a draft capital gain. Diggs was a 5th rounder and traded for a 1st. Why can’t we have nice things like that? Instead we draft 1-2nd round players and trade them for peanuts. The list is extensive. It’s primarily why we have never won a super bowl. Probably the #1 reason. If it wasn’t for Allen, we’d be in for a load of hurt.

Should we trade Ed Oliver?
Milanos Milano replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
How sad that we are trading for a short term loss. Good GMs take those late rounders and trade them for 2nd and 3rd round picks. Look at Minnesota, drafted Diggs in the late rounds and got a 1st round pick for him. Why can’t we do that? Why are we so terrible for decades? -

Antonio Brown - (Former) Arena Football League Owner

We’ve already submitted a response to your grievances ,your policy has a provision that excludes Sand Tiger shark bites. They are typically docile and it’s a fortuitous cost, and to remain solvent we do not cover those exclusions. Best regard, Sam’s Shark Insurance. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
Milanos Milano replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we get Hopkins, we are winning the super bowl. -

Reminds me of the time I tried selling shark attack insurance. I guess my jingle wasn’t catchy enough, or maybe it was just the Jeff Tuel endorsement. -

Another Frenchmen? Rousseau will be happy. -
I need to see what we do in the offseason first, it could make a difference. If they dedicate this offseason to drafting oline and WRs, then I think post a similar record to this year, maybe even take the 1 seed. If we fail to give Allen time in the pocket and another reliable fast receiver opposite of Diggs, then we likely take a step back and go 11-6 .

I feel like this team was so bad for so long that it took a lot of time to build this team. There is no denying with Allen and Diggs we will always be competitive. I voted for not on track, but I’m willing to give them 1 more offseason to correct the obvious needs. There is no denying we need another opposite WR to help Diggs, there is no denying we need O-line help. If Beane address and fixes this issue, it will go a long ways to giving me hope for the 2023 season. If we come out of the draft with a WR that runs sub 4.4 and has 1,000+ yards against legit talent and a bunch of mean o-linemen I’m willing to switch my vote to on track. This is the make or break year for my faith in Bean and McD.

We only have Diggs. And that’s a problem. When he’s taken away, Allen regresses. Look at all the top teams and they have two reliable options or a good coach that can scheme. If we had another AJ Brown to pair with Diggs, we are likely talking super bowl right now. Oline and elite WR to pair with Diggs is what this team needs.

I’ve seen enough talent from Josh to know he has the same abilities as Mahomes and Burrow. So that got me thinking why such a disparity. Then I do a roster to roster to roster comparison and begin to realize that the difference is coaching and talent. It’s not a Josh Allen problem. We are only winning because of him. You put him on a team like SF or Philly and you are talking about a multi year dynasty.
