  1. Honestly no, I’m pretty good at poker and win a fairly good amount of times. I’m not saying to come right out and offer a 1st, I’m just saying I would do it if that is what it took to solidify the trade. I’m not saying you should pay that much, but if it is necessary to do what we need to do to win a super bowl, you do it. If KC is offering a 2nd, then you offer a 1st, you have to keep DHop out of KC. I’m sure Beane realizes that Hopkins in KC is a disaster and we must do what we can to stop that.
  2. I’m super confident we win a super bowl if we land Hopkins. It’s impossible to double both Diggs and Hopkins, so somebody is going to eat, even if that means Davis or Shakir feast. This is the missing piece of offense. I’ve been saying it since Davis failed to breakout. I honestly don’t even care if we give up a 1st (if that is what it takes), it shouldn’t but I’m willing to do it. Not only does Hopkins provide another solid 1B option opposite of Diggs, he is a solid backup in case we run into injury issues with Diggs. We land Hopkins, nobody is stopping us.
  3. It ultimately depends on what KC and other teams are offering. I mean would anyone really care if we sent a 2nd if it meant we win a super bowl next year with Diggs + Hopkins?
  4. Yep, this isn’t something that is totally out of our control. It’s not like Hopkins is a FA and has a choice to where he goes. This is all about negotiations and working the cap. This falls squarely on Beane to make this happen. It will be a major L if he loses to KC’s GM.
  5. If it is truly between us and KC, we need to do everything in our power to make it happen. I will throw up if we lose out to the KC management.
  6. Who really knows though, he very well could have down the stretch. He was gaining more carries per game every game until his injury. Averaging nearly 1 TD a game and seeing some high usage in the air (which we already knew he was capable of). https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/rookie-running-backs-to-rush-for-more-than-1000-yards-in-rookie-season He’s in great company, list correlates well to a decent career.
  7. He was definitely on pace for a 1,000 yard season. Which you really can’t ask for much more being a rookie.
  8. I was honestly getting fairly depressed over the last week given the lack of interest to make power moves to put us over the top against teams like KC/Cinci. That was until I legitimately started believing Hopkins was realistically obtainable. Now I’m sucked back into the vortex. This is the piece we need on offense to compete against the arms race.
  9. Yep, for me it’s about winning. Do what it takes. Whatever it takes. The Pegula’s have been more than willing so far to basically write massive checks. I’d be more surprised if the Bills didn’t land a WR or Hopkins caliber given where we are at during this point. Now is the time you want to make moves like this, when you are only a piece away. Lol and we were right until an injury derailed things. Just like I was right about Woolen.
  10. It’s not that I would want to give up a 1st round for Hopkins, but if we were in a bidding war with KC for Hopkins and that is what it took to keep him off their roster, I’d do it. Hopkins on our team is a super bowl, and nobody is going to complain what we had to do to get Hopkins if we win a super bowl. I’m not saying no to do it, but I just don’t know what is physically feasible. I’d have to imagine the Pegula’s are basically telling Beane to do whatever it takes to win a super bowl, especially given Kim’s health status. She likely wants to see this franchise and city win a super bowl while she is still living. I know I would if I was the owner with sufficient cash and I knew my health was not the greatest.
  11. As much as I would love this, I don’t think it’s possible to do both financially. Even if you restructured everyone and or traded away pieces like Oliver to free up cash. If Beane can just land Hopkins, I would be more than excited.
  12. Lol my Breece Hall thread made it over 100.
  13. I’m just thinking of it from a logical point of view. We barely beat KC with Kelce and JuJu. We don’t have the personnel to guard Hopkins and Kelce. OBJ doesn’t command the double teams like Hopkins does. Just like KC doesn’t have the personnel to guard Diggs and Hopkins. If it is between us, whoever lands Hopkins will win a super bowl. If Hopkins goes to KC, it’s over, sig it. Those 2 are fairly easily replaceable, they don’t scare teams. Hopkins + Kelce is a way more dangerous combo than JuJu/Har + Kelce. You can’t double both Hopkins and Kelce, and we already have a hard time covering Kelce. We would be screwed.
  14. KC is likely thinking the same thing about Buffalo. They know Hopkins + Diggs is dangerous, and they don’t really have an answer for it either. Which is why it wouldn’t surprise me if their is a battle going on behind the scenes for Hopkins services.
  15. We are officially in an arms race against KC and Cincinnati for years to come. Beane has to have that urgency always in the back of his head. You cannot let a player of Hopkins caliber go to either KC or Cincinnati, you just can’t. We have no answers for it.
  16. I do not care even if we have to give up a 1st rounder to land Hopkins. If he goes to KC we are doomed for a year or 2 depending on how long they rework the contract. If we land Hopkins, ain’t nobody going to be talking about how we gave up a 1st rounder after a super bowl parade. We have to keep D-Hop out of KC.
  17. We cannot lose to the Chiefs. If Hopkins goes to the Chiefs, we are screwed.
  18. The heat just cranked up a notch. The water is boiling and ready.
  19. There was a lot of hype and speculation leading up to the signing. Maybe not as much as Hopkins, but enough to breakout the F5 talk and excitement.
  20. I used to think that until Von Miller happened. The big splashes are almost impossible to keep secret.
  21. I’m absolutely fine with Davis being a 3, but he sure proved to us that he is not ready for the #2. I honestly don’t know how you game plan for Diggs/Hopkins/Davis.
  22. I will forever never say a bad thing about Beane again. I promise. Just do this for all us suffering fans. We just want to win a super bowl.
  23. Having Diggs and Hopkins on the same team has me so pumped, that I’m already fantasizing offensive domination. Hopkins has never played besides an elite WR, he is so used to being doubled. I bet he is salivating at the chance to get a lot of 1 on 1 matchups with Allen being his QB just icing. He might be a Bills fan like me, but the guys is definitely more connected being a scout. I’m sure he has way more information that I’m privy to, but anyways lets all just soak in the moment. If this happens, Diggs and Hopkins is going to be the best show in the NFL.
  24. I’m pretty confident about a Hopkins trade now. Think about it from Hopkins perspective. He is without a doubt excited at the prospect of playing with Josh Allen and Diggs, full knowing he will have one of the best arms throwing to him and plenty of 1 on 1 opportunities with Diggs commanding equal attention.
