It happens. I totally get it. There is just something in the brain that dares you to take a massive cut. Especially knowing you can park one way up in the stands. Swing arrogance and arm arrogance is real.

I can related to the psychological aspect of the thrill of the big showing. Something about 1-5 and a 3 run dinger and 3Ks is more satisfying than 3-5 with 2 singles and a double with no rbis and 2Ks. Full knowing that the women in your life love the big bomb.

Well I played sports all my life, and I can tell you 100% , if you really like the uni, you play better. Nothing better than taking suited up pics with the chicks and looking good doing it.

The Jets have the best D in the league. We almost won despite having 4 turnovers. We are more than fine. 13-4 Mahomes was fine, his receivers couldn’t catch a cold.

It’s ok if we let the D regress a bit. Our prime focus should be on making Allen the best he can be to help keep the D off the field.

I don’t want to hear it. Brady always got the ball out fast, all the good QBs get it out fast. Allen is never going to be able to find the quick read. It’s why he always scrambles to buy more time for stuff to open up. He needs a solid #2 that can be a big body jump baller. I do have something against Davis. He stinks. He rarely helps Allen when in need, he drops to many passes to earn trust when Diggs is covered. Allen is clearly flustered. I’m not saying Oline isn’t a problem still, it is. But with the playing style that Josh has, he needs a legit #2 WR that can take over games at times.

Davis is crap, he will never be a #2 here. He’s healthy and still nothing. No way, because Harrison Jr is going top 3. No way we suck bad enough to land him.

I’m not convinced Allen can turn crap into gold. He’s never done that yet. It wasn’t until Diggs came along that he got better. If Diggs ever is out for an extended period of time, we are in trouble. Allen isn’t Mahomes and Brady that can win with subpar WRs, mainly because he can’t read defenses as well as those two can. Allen needs a Moss type WR opposite of Diggs to where he can just sling it and let the WR go up and get it.

I know you like the draft analysis stuff, so it’s ok take your time. I always enjoy looking for ways to get better, and that often times means through the draft. Coleman is a transfer from Mich St, and someone I’ve had my eye on now due to his combination of size and separation ability. His jump ball skills impress me the most, because that is exactly what Allen needs for his playing style. Someone Allenvre can lean on for his slinging tendencies.

Nobody is forcing you to come inside the thread. We know where our weaknesses are, so might as well start looking for those pieces.

Jack Nelson can play both left and projects to play RT. Keon Coleman is a Moss esque receiver, so I’d say he has potential to be a number 1. We need a replacement for Davis. #2 WR is a priority. This guy can move for a big guy. Perfect fit for Allen. Can catch jump balls from Allenvre.

Lol I expect us to be around 28ish, and I hope we can land him.

Because it’s never to early to talk about improving the team. With Davis in a contract year, I don’t see how we bring him back unless he has a good year this year. He hasn’t shown me enough to think he warrants it anyways. Right now IMO RT, and WR #2 are the biggest priorities. I want Keon Coleman and Jack Nelson (LT/RT flexibility) with the 1st 2 picks.

Yep. Yesterday was the last straw in terms of thinking Josh has what it takes. Until I see improvements on the mental side of the game, there is no hope for a Super Bowl.

My point is, can it even be changed at this point? It’s year 6 and Allen is still making really dumb plays on the field instead of just taking what the defense gives him. DCs are boxing him in and he doesn’t want to color within the lines.

I feel like it can be its own separate discussion focusing around Allens approach to the game. The other ones are focusing on other stuff.

This is the heart of the problem. Allen is like a tweaked out artist. Way too much “going with the flow” or “reacting in the moment” . There is no plan, no precision, no rhythm. Maybe Allen will never be that type of QB, and will always be the one that improvises on the fly. But I’m not convinced that kind of QB can win in todays game. When you watch old Manning videos, everything was nearly timed, and smooth. It was a clean clinic. When I watch Allen, half the time it’s the exact opposite, just crazy randomness with an amusement park rollercoaster that brings the thrills but on dangerous tracks that haven’t been maintained. Sure it’s fun and enthralling, but it’s not reliable or even sustainable due to the increased risks. It’s increasingly noticeable the tougher the defenses we play against. The chaos approaches infinity. I think DCs are finally realizing that Allen doesn’t like being boxed in and coloring within the lines. They bait him, they dare him, and he just can’t help himself. Every time it works. I sometimes wonder if Allen hasn’t been diagnosed with ADHD or something, because I see zero focusing out there or even self control. Which is incredibly sad, because Allens talent is just off the charts, but his impulse control reminds you of an edgy teenager that hasn’t fully developed mentally. Is it even possible for Allen to become a surgeon on the field? It’s now year 6 and there is little signs of it. Is it coachable, or is Allen simply just incapable of learning?
