I would not argue with this as a distinct possibility.
-
Neither will make it to rd 2 if Buffalo passes. Ladd, whom may go before Buffalo picks anyway, would likely be drafted by KC (think about that for a second), and all indications are CAR will take Legette at 33. I would take Ladd at 28 and try to get Baker, Rice, Polk or that Rice receiver (brother of the great SF RB)

What are the red flags, I haven't heard of them. 4.3 speed isn't one of them. I like Ladd at #28 (if a trade up for Thomas JR isn;t possible) then Walker or Baker at #60 or a slight trade down from #60. I can be talked out of Walker, I guess. I really think Baker is underrated I disagree. We have nobody on the roister like Legette and although Ladd has qualities that are similar to Shakir, Ladd played outside (non-slot) over 70% of the time last year. You can never get Josh too many separators (he throws to open receivers not via anticipation) and Ladd is the best separator in the draft

Franklin would be a good pick at 60, they’re not taking him at 28 joe Marino loves Legette, way more than most. He’s #4 on his WR list, over Thomson Jr. Too high for my liking but his character traits are great and I wouldn’t mind him at #28 or a slight trade back If Thomas jr falls to the late teens, Beane should be doing all he can to trade up. #28, #133 and a 2015 second should get it done?? I think the difference between Thomas Jr and the 3rd tier wr’s is wide.

Love both of these guys. Legette is definitely a consideration at 28, though I’d like a trade down into the 30s then grab him. Baker would be one of my favorite WRs in the draft if he had a little bit more speed. 60 is too early for Baker and he probably doesn’t last to 128, but would love a combo of Ladd, worthy, Legette or Thomas jr with our first pick, and baker in the 80s or 90s with a trade up. Thomas jr at 17 (trading 28, minnesota’s 2015 2nd and a 4th) Baker at 95ish - trading 128 and the other 4th to move up I’m not sure of my math, but I think those trades are fairly economical/reasonable i think Thomas jr would be a huge upgrade from Davis, and believe it or not, I believe Baker’s ceiling is Diggs. His pass route running is excellent and his size and speed is slightly better than Diggs

Agreed. I think Legette may be the guy, huge upside but sizable downside. I love Ladd but he admittedly does have a limited ceiling, I think. Still if Ladd ends up being a “faster/quicker” Cole Beasley, nobody is going to complain about a guy with 90 catches, 1100 yards and 8 tds a year. my best draft idea is Ladd at 28 and trade 60 and a 2nd in 2015 for the low 40s to grab Legette. the way Josh was talking about Legette (“the dude has the best southern drawl”) leads me to believe he’s someone they’re considering Mitchell’s workout numbers are as impressive as any wr in the draft, given his size, but his onfield production is mediocre. The Bills talk about YAC a lot and he’s absolutely terrible at YAC. Is this something that can improve possibly with a different use by the Bills? Not sure, but, it is a reason why I think he’s not being targeted by the Bills

Give me any draft and team and I’ll tell you what they could have done better. Jefferson wasn’t even a consensus 1st rd pick. It’s like 4 years from now and Mitchell or legette end up being the best wr in this draft

Agreed - 78 is also a nice spot for a 2nd receiver (Walker, baker, etc).

Lance Zierlein: Bills should draft 2 WR in the first 3 rounds
Turbo44 replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed - my dream senario is Thomas jr (small trade up in rd 1) then pass at 40 (if he makes it there??) using pick 60 and a 2nd next year. You’d have two 2024 difference makers. Fill in the holes with 128, 133 and the other 6 picks. -

It looks like 60 isn’t ideal for wr unless a tier 3 guy slips to there which is possible but not likely (Legette, Franklin, Coleman, Polk). 60 is also too early for the 4th tier, Walker, baker, Florida guy, Michigan guy but, 60 does look like a really good spot for a DT or DE -
I think if Thomas jr last until the last teens he’ll try to trade up. Otherwise sit and hope Mitchell lasts to 28. Ladd is an option at 28 but drafting him would require a 2nd one being drafted quicker. 28 ladd 45 (trade from 60 using a later pick and/or maybe a 2025 3rd): Franklin, Legette, coleman - whomever last. If all gone, pick Walker or baker at 60 or with a slight trade down form 60.

I would love to get Mitchell at 28 and Ladd at 40 (trade up with 60 and a 2025 2nd). with no trades, Ladd at 28 and see who’s left at 60. Walker certainly will be, as will Baker, but maybe Legette, Franklin or Polk slides to 60. either of these senarios would give us a better wr group than any in recent memory. Out other needs (DE, S, DT, OL) can be filled with out multiple 4th, 5th and 6th round picks -
I think you’d have to add to that to move up enough for any of them, unless one of them drops to the 9 range

Would WR Allen Robinson be worth a look for a 1 year deal?
Turbo44 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ladd lined up at slot very little in college. He line up outside >70% of the time. Ladd, Shakir, and Kinkaid playing off each other would be great. Josh isn’t an anticipation thrower, he throws when he sees someone open. Nobody separates better than Ladd in this draft, including the big 3. His yac is great too. Weakness is getting away form bump and run, but that can be aleviated through motion. -
Calling it now: You're all about to witness the arrival of Shakir
Turbo44 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
And which WR in the draft gets the most separation and YAC? Ladd - maybe too much duplication but if not, I think he’s their guy. 1 or 2 WRs, with Walker, baker, rice, etc to follow -
28 and a late 2nd next year doesn't get you close to 17. Though I would trade more to move up to 17 if Thomas II makes it to 17 Burton is a bad person, off many boards, probably off Buffalo's board

28 Ladd 60 plus 2025 2nd for 40 - Legette
-
Harrison and nebors are sure things and Odunze is a 75% sure thing. I Think; if nebors or Harrison last to 6, they call the giants if Odunze lasts to 9 they call atlanta if Thomas II last to high teens they make a call otherwise they pick their fav at 28. Mine would be Ladd at 28 and trade 60 + a 4th this year and a 3rs next year for 40 and grab legette, Franklin, Coleman, Polk - whomever is left and whomever they like
-
I can’t wrap my head around worthy. Super fast 40 but he’s not a one trick pony as he had 3 years of nice production. Still I don’t know if I could draft him early??
-
Yeah some of their trade proposals make no sense. When I get the one like your DET one I ignore it cuz not realistic
-
I want Ladd at 28 and Legette, Coleman or Franklin at 45 (trade up from 60). If no trade up, Ladd and Walker or baker

interesting WR scenario posed by a friend

Damn, I guess there’s no reason to watch now? It’s like when KC traded Hill and their Super Bowl chances dissipated. -
Doesn’t rush the qb anywhere near what Jones does. Two totally different players

I think we definitely draft a wr with our first rd pick whether it’s a big trade up for the top 3, a smaller trade up for Thomas Ii or picking one at 28 ad for double dipping, I’m a firm advocate of trading 60 and a 2025 3rd or even our late 2 to move up to around 40 and grab our 2nd wr. otherwise we draft one at one at 60 or 128 best case senario; Thomas at 19ish with. Trade up, sweet at 45 with another trade up and a second wr at 128.
