worked for Knox too. I could see them trade up for a WR, but not really a CB. Their zone defense hides deficiencies in CB's
-
Correct - Beane talked about Tre giving him a big hug the other day That doesn’t make sense given the timing of the injury. You might be confusing his acl injury with Jameson Williams (Alabama we) who tore his in January and may be out a bit into the regular season
-
Nope - Jones will have got vet minimum and, once you knock off whatever guy is 51st $$ on the Bill's roster, Jones will cost a couple hundred thousand the cap. Virtually nothing
-
Makes sense - so the cap hit would be his salary minus whatever contract he knocks out of the top 51; probably something around $850,000 - so cap hit of $150,000 = nothing
-
Taiwan's contract most likely won't affect our cap. It won't be in the top 51 contracts so it's irrelevant = smart signing
-
Great measurables but does it translate to his onfield production?? Wouldn't mind at all Dotson in the 1st, O-line in the 2nd, Castro-Fields in the 3rd and Stout in the 6th

Joe Buscaglia's 7 round Bills Mock draft (paywall)
Turbo44 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't like Hall in the 1st at all. Switch that with another CB (draft two CB's) and draft a RB where he drafted the LB (Rd 4). waiting until the 5th to draft an Olineman is pretty bad too -
I can't believe people are getting upset over possibly losing Bates. He's a nice player but really JAG
-
It depends on the Bear contract. If they frontloaded it, the Bills probably don't match. For all we know, Bates could be viewed by the Bills brass the same way as Wallace obviously was - highly replacable. Also, with Bate's RG spot filled already, would he be as good at LG??
-
Lamar says otherwise…

Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]
Turbo44 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe, but Tua is still their QB -
Beane should kick the tires on Stephon Gilmore
Turbo44 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree - he's a very good zone corner and I believe and upgrade from Wallace. In saying that, I trust beane and any of Nelson, Peterson, Gilmore, Rhodes or even Seymour would do -

NYG have no cap space. That's why they'll have to cut Bradberry -
As Allen said perfectly the night he was drafted, "I'm where I'm supposed to be." I think Darnold would have been much better on the Bills than he was with the Jets, but still probably only at top 10-15 QB at best
-
I think Josh was at the top of their list, followed by Darnold. Interestingly, it's rumored that the Browns top two were Mayfield and Allen. Thank God they chose the wrong one

Conspiracy theory and certainly too early to substantiate BUT is it possible that the Bills aren’t holding a draft party due to the possibility of them trading out of the 1st? Holding a party without a pick would be strange. depending on who’s available at 25, in this draft trading down with Dallas and having picks such as 33, 57, 65 and 89 may be better than 25, 57 and 89 33 Breece Hall RB 57 Kyler Gordon CB 65 Lecitus Smith G 89 John Metchie III Wr 130 Calvin Austin III WR 168 Matt Araiza P 6th and 7th round I don’t care - maybe another CB, another OL, and a LB - this was all from a simulator btw
-
Dotson in the 2nd is extremely unlikely. He’s a 1st round talent and if he makes it to the 2nd round there will be too many teams early in the 2nd who are looking for a wr who didn’t take one with their first
-
I think we'll match unless he signs a deal that's front-loaded and/or if the Bills have serious plans to draft his replacement in Round 1, like Zion
-
Agree 100%. Dane held up really well in the playoffs. Now, the Bills may have been giving Dane more safety help than Wallace but the fact Wallace only got $4m per and the Bills weren't interested says a lot. I blame coaches for Wallace's alignment on the two passes in the last 13 seconds but in retrospect perhaps Wallace lined up wrong?? We'll never know.
-
Unlike most, I won't miss Wallace. he's a great story from UFA to starter, but, just recent memory of the playoffs I remember: 1. being burned for an easy TD on NE's first drive, bailed out by Hyde 2. Needless PI call vs NE on 3rd down 3. TD by Hill with a minute left 4. two catches were on him in the last 13 seconds (though full disclosure I blame coaching more than him) Seems to me, if the Bills weren't willing to pay him $4m per, they have similar observations. With hopefully a better pass rush this year, the CB's will be better protected too. Give me Peterson, Gilmour, Rhodes or even Seymour on a reasonable 1 year deal + draft two CB's (one on day one or two) and we'll be good to go

Like Tariq a lot but not at 25. Would love a top WR at 25 then trade up to the middle of the 2nd for Tariq Are we even sure Sauce lasts to 7 though. Trade would probably be contingent on that
-
Tre withstanding, in our system of zone, I think you can get a CB in rd 2 or 3 that'll work well. I go IOL first: Zion or Green, CB in the 2nd: Woolen, Gordon, Bryant, Taylor-Britt WR in the 3rd: Metchie III, Austin III, Kyle Phillips
