Whom else could be signed elsewhere and give us comp picks? Off the top of my head, Hyde, Dane Jackson, Dodson, Poona ford, that other DT we signed, Sherfield, maybe more? none of these would bring much but still could bring something. A 7th could turn into a Dane Jackson type or a punter
-
Josh has never been one to ruffle feathers, so he's never "forcing himself out of Buffalo."
-
Interesting concept of Josh Bolting to California after 2026. Maybe explain how he's getting out of the 2027 and 2028 portion of his current contract.......waiting with popcorn.....
-
the player or the coaching? Though I never like Levi, though he was an UDFA so shouldn't have expected much
-
And also use a 5th, maybe even a 4th fro a 2nd WR
-
JAG: nothing more, maybe less
-
Agreed. I see us signing a Mooney type UFA for around $5m and trading up in the 1st for the Wr we want. Beane isn’t using all 11 draft picks and easily had the ammunition to move from 28 to the mid/high teens if Thomas falls to there
-
Agreed. I think Beane really wants Thomas but wont be able to get him unless he drops into the 20s
-
I still find myself gravitating to McConkey at 28. I know at 6'0" he's not a true outside receiver, but I think he'd move all around our offensive scheme and catch 80-100 passes. Combine him with a more tradition outside wr via UFA or maybe draft another WR in rd 4 like Johnny wilson, Brenden Rice (pedigree), Javon Baker or Jacob Cowing. I just have a feeling if we don't draft McConkey we'll regret it. NOW, if Thomas slips to 28, or if we can trade up to grab him, I'm all for that!! Will be fun nonetheless
-
I think you have it backwards. McConkey you’d have to take at 28 and Legette at 60. Might have to trade up a bit to get Legette, but wouldn’t cost you a ton to move from 60 to like 50. This is my plan B: McConkey then a true z receiver like Legette, worthy, Pearsall or Franklin. plan A is trade up for Thomas either plan would be dynamic with Josh: diggs, McConkey, Legette, Shakir and our TEs or diggs, Thomas, Shakir, our TEs and a late round WR both scenarios are very possible as we have 11 picks and Beane isn’t drafting 11 players

After yesterday who is your WR pick at 28?

Ladd is growing on me. If Thomas is gone, i would take Ladd at 28 and back it up by taking Legette/Corley/Johnny Wilson at 60. Torn between Ladd, Mitchell and Franklin though -
Where’s the college production though? Worrisome and I know he was injured last year

Any of these 4 will do fine and thinking 2-3 will be available when we pick, probably 2 but we only need 1 -
He's growing on me. Returns punts too. A bit worried he wasn't the #1 at texas, but, Cooke wasn't the #1 at UGA either I guess. How did Texas ever lose with him and Mitchell at WR?
-
Don’t overestimate worthy cuz of the 40 / he was the #2 wr at Tex’s. If bills go wr at 28 they’ll get one of Thomas, Mitchell or Franklin which are all great
-
McConkey doesn’t fit what we need. Still like him despite not much in the stat area college wise. I still think we take Franklin or Thomas if either are avail at 28
-
Is Thomas not running a warning flag? Whomever was advising Coleman should have told him do not run at the combine
-
Coleman just dropped to 3rd round Josh Allen is faster
-
A lot of boom/bust with Coleman
-
You take the TD whenever you can get it. It’s cute to think he could have “automatically” got a td anytime if he would Have checked down to Diggs on 2nd down. Who knows Diggs may have dropped the pass anyway. klein was taken off the Kelce coverage in the 2nd half (stupid having him cover him in the first place) Neal did a nice job in coverage on him in the 2nd half. if Allen throws the td to shakir and mahomes goes down and gets a td, I could live with it. It wouldn’t be automatic as we stopped mahomes on his last 2 drives. Do you remember Mahomes being in the same exact situation in the 2022 regular season vs Buffalo and throwing the int to Tauron? cute to revisit history but you take the TD when you can get it and it was 1/10 of a second from being one
-
Pick #28 better be our new #2, Shakir will be great as #3/slot. Big failure by Beane not signing DHOP this year. Instead he wasted a bunch of money on the Poonah fords of the world.

His 2 big mistakes were starting Klein and Jackson over Williams and Elam. Called these mistakes when I saw the starters. When he finally put Williams in the game and covered Kelsey with anybody other than Klein the d got better -

We were one out in the playoffs? Could have sworn we beat Pittsburgh, so we’re we out in game 2?? -

Beane’s biggest failure was not signing a true #2 wr this year. Hopkins could have been had and wasn’t. Instead he threw money at the Poona fords of the world. this offseason: morse and tre will be cut or minimally restructured for salary cap reasons. von and Diggs will be back. For those wanting either cut or traded do your salary cap research. Too big of cap hits to cut or trade. Hyde will be gone, not sure what we do at safety?? draft a fkn legit wr at #28 and hope you nail it. try to resign #56, though he (and honestly Oliver) were MIA tonight
