  1. Absolutely not. 3 guys under 5'8 should not be considered big pieces of your offense.
  2. It would be really bad asset management to have Harty, Hines, and McKenzie on one team. Beane is terrible at asset management so I wouldnt be shocked to see all three on team taking up over 10 million in cap space.
  3. Dumb, old and slow.
  4. Never like taking chances on guys that have "potential" We shall see, but I don't think it solves anything.
  5. Restructures mean nothing in terms of something being on the brink of happening. Look at it this way. A player has 4 years left on deal. Ten million dollars is converted to bonus so now its spread amongst this year, and the remaining three years. Cap savings of current year would be 7.5 million. Guy is cut after year 2 of restructure. That means the dead money increased 5 million dollars when you go to cut him, because you already accounted for the 2.5 million in each of the prior 2 years. The Bills rolled over the cap savings from the restructure so now have an additional 5 million when you go to cut him. End of the day, it costs you nothing more against the cap than it would have been since it is a higher dead cap, but you have more roll over. However, in the current year of the restructure, you have a cushion just incase you need it.
  6. I think more players are waiting till FA actually opens. That way they can visit and talk with the coaches.
  7. Poyer's market being low was predictable. He plays in a very safety friendly system and did not do well after week 5 last year.
  8. Because I know people who have been laid off and they are constantly cutting scholarship to other sports.
  9. So you say the same thing about everyone that doesn't drink the Kool Aid that Beane dishes out?
  10. On Mike Clay's FA list, he was the 14th best guard available, right in front of Safford. Wouldn't expect too much from him. Seems like a lot of money, tbh.
  11. No way. Jeudy is made a glass. Not to mention, his up-coming contract is not a selling point. I would rather draft Zay Flowers.
  12. Depending on who they bring in. I'm hoping we see a nice replacement for him in FA. Draft is very weak. Better next year though, so a one year deal on a vet wouldn't be a bad idea.
  13. Free agency starts in 30 mins. This legal tampering is a joke. Most deals are done by Wednesday. It's gonna get interesting and fun
  14. I'll see it to believe. UB isn't doing very well financially, and Hodgson makes significantly more already as a assistant than Whitesell did as HC. Whitesell had a base of 300k, while Hodgson is making 425k. Hodgson will have ample opportunities over the next couple of years to be a HC at a program willingly to pay in the millions.
  15. Where was he at the end of the Miami game in Miami when we were driving to win the game? He played in the lowest % of snaps since his rookie year. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DiggSt00.htm
  16. What the games, or just look at the snap breakdown.
  17. Milano is actually good though. Tremaine is replaceable with one of the other 5 ILBs on market.
  18. Don't forget he is a captain that doesn't show up to OTA. The guy private jets to fashion shows across the globe, but can't get in a plane a couple days in April and May to be a good teammate. Not to mention all the times this year he just flat out quit during the game. The guy would catch one ball, or run one route, and just go off the field. The team couldn't use him to block anymore, which severely limited on what the team could do. That's why Gabe played so much.
  19. What if he doesn't show up? Or causes issues once he decides to report?
  20. Players have all the power. If they want out, they get traded. It's pretty that simple in today's NFL. They don't care what happens with the team. Look at Rodgers, cried about wanting a new deal, gets his deal, now wants out. Going to cost the Packers millions in dead money. Nothing they can do about it. Hill wanted out, traded. AJ Brown wanted out, traded. Wilson wanted out, traded. Adams wanted out, traded. Hopkins wanted out, traded. Watson wanted out, traded. Stafford wanted out, traded.
  21. I'm not sure what his post draft success has anything to do with where he was actually drafted. The Bills traded their first round pick for a WR. They were taking a WR if they kept their pick. Justin Jefferson was the guy available at their pick.
  22. It wasn't Diggs or no one. The opportunity cost of Diggs, was Justin Jefferson. Are you telling me that Justin Jefferson wouldn't have been instrumental in Josh Allen's development? Diggs mentally is a different animal. Don't be surprised when it gets ugly.
  23. I wasnt a fan of Diggs before he got to the Bills. Felt like I was forced to like him because he was on the team, even though he always rubbed me the wrong way. Felt like everyone around team constantly walked around on eggs shells around Diggs. Seems to be quick to explode on the smallest of things. Never felt like he truly bought into being apart of the team/Buffalo. Him wanting out and being insubordinate is happening right now. This isn't some made up media rumors. He is not cooperating with the team right now and has pretty much ignored every teammate that has reached out to him since the end of the year. Beane made this mess by trading for this guy. It's like dating the girl who cheated on her partner to have a relationship with you. It's just a matter of time until its you getting cheated on. People don't permanently change, they just mask the real person for a temporary amount of time. Not sure how this ends, but my guess, it gets ugly. I said it when it happened, but what a terrible contract extension Beane gave him. Beane is really looking like a bottom tier GM.
