If they let players opt out again, they might as well let them opt out eternally. This virus is not just going to disappear.
I think players could always "opt out" but last year it was a much bigger deal and changes were made to the process because of Covid. I don't see anyone doing so this season but who knows

If somehow Friermuth falls to them, they better race that card up
Most underrated prospect in the draft IMO - he is going to be great.

Jerry Hughes is the one who can be cut with significant cap savings. This is the last year of his contract, so he can be cut with $6.3M of cap savings.
Thought of that too but Hughes is our best DE and produces extremely well even at his age. Not sure that $6.3 million could be spent better than on Hughes. Good point on Addison - I think he's on the roster for sure.
Going to come down to Johnson or Obada - maybe one get's dealt for a mid-rounder.

He thinks he has long term potential.
And that means Beane doesn't think he's good and will not dress?

Edmunds, Phillips, T Johnson, Neal, Joseph, J Johnson, D Johnson, Oliver, Jackson, Epenesa
Not sure why anyone would trust Beane drafting defense. Not much to be proud of there.
No, not at all

He's just not very good
He was a first round pick at a position of need.
Beane thinks he's very good. So does McClap. He's going to dress and rotate in just as much as Epenesa did last season, if not more, because of the work he'll get in training camp.

I see Beane moving up in the 2nd. Probably for a corner
I think he moves up too.
Friermuth, Samuel, or Williams the RB

I think we need to look at the DEs specifically
Hughes
Addison
Epenesa
Johnson
Obada
Rousseau
Beane has kept 5 DEs before so I think Beane does it again. I think it will come down to Johnson versus Obada unless Addison is cut for cap savings but I am not sure of the impact that would have.

See you keep changing subjects here. You called it the underbelly of society or something these people that act racist in their basement but apparently normal during the day.
Where did I say this? Re-read the quote below. I'll bold, italicize, and underline the part that continues to go over your head.
3 hours ago, Melon said:Some of those same folks are cops, doctors, paramedics, etc. To think they automatically stop their implicit bias on the job is laughable.
That's the dark underbelly of racism that makes this country racist.

we were talking about the people who only did it in their basements.
Are we? Or is that what you constantly refer back to because you won't answer the question -
How can minorities be treated equally if some of those in power have implicit bias against them?

lol again, one time i misspelled it. spelled it correctly 100 other times. let it go it doesn't mean i am racist misspelling one time. is this person in power actively passing bills to hurt minorities?
This person in power killed George Floyd

How is the MLB boycott going? Demand for games is pretty high this season.

So publily they're supporting policy that helps minorites but at home they're racist. So in the end minorities are treated equally but some ass is sitting at home pouting about it but doesn't actually hurt minorities? That's quite an argument. Not exactly sure what to do with that. It's like a fantasy land for someone who is desperate for racism to exist. That's part of the problem. People seem to want it to exist more than it actually exists.
3 hours ago, Melon said:This is an oversimplification. Every racist is not sitting at home pouting about it. Racists have been actively involved in anti-American and anti-black groups such as the KKK, Proud Boys, etc. They signed bills supporting equal rights, then put on their hoods and lynched at night.
How can minorities (please spell it correctly if you're going to present an argument about them) be treated equally if some of those in power have implicit bias against them?
I'll ask again - How can minorities (please spell it correctly if you're going to present an argument about them) be treated equally if some of those in power have implicit bias against them?

Hang on. Now you're changing the narrative.
The narrative is racism is systemic and it's not hidden in the basement as you claim
Great example of American racism in the other thread as well

Now, all these Dr's, lawyers, paramedics as you said are doing this in private but in public are acting like a normal person should. So they really have no effect on a minority person do they?

Must be wrong - I thought I remembered Eric Berry had a chance opt out for a season because of his cancer diagnosis but he was able to return regardless.
