Week 11, Chefs v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Virgil replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs 17 Bills 13 The story writes itself. Chiefs get a call on the final drive to help them seal the victory. The Bills can’t beat a team with a winning record. Josh throws 3 ints when everyone is watching, and it’s the same old Bills to the world. -
I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. It was Josh's shakiness from the Colts game where he was trying to press the ball to his only two receivers, that made me realize that Josh is better when he has multiple guys he trusts and can throw to (which he did NOT have in the Colts game). I think Josh needs a healthy Shakir, Coleman, and a burner to feel comfortable being the Josh we've seen most of the season. Cooper is that burner now, but I don't think we need him specifically as much as someone who stretches the field

Seahawks release Tyrel Dodson - UPDATE claimed by Dolphins

When do we know if he made it through waivers? -
Cooper is a number one, I don’t dispute that. Cooper does a lot more than just be a deep threat. I’m saying he don’t need all of it. Is it nice to have, yes. But I think Josh and the offense really only needs the deep threat aspect of Cooper, to elevate the game of everyone else and complete our WR set. Maybe a 700-900 yard receiver. Christian Watson is a good example of what I mean. Guys you can get away paying under 15 mil a year for, compliment each other; earns trust with Josh, and everyone eats

Seahawks release Tyrel Dodson - UPDATE claimed by Dolphins

Seems too perfect timing for this not to happen. Get er done -
Again, my point was that the Colts game called out that Josh needs multiple guys available to him, vs only two guys where he feels he has to force feed them. Josh needs a healthy Coleman, Shakir, Hollins, and Cooper/burner. I don’t think he needs a #1 that demands the ball. If he has the prior, he’s more relaxed, spreads the ball to who is open. This

I think we are on the same page, but I may not be wording my thoughts correctly. In the games you mentioned, we did not have that burner to keep two safeties against us and make the opposing team respect longer passes. With Cooper, who I agree is a number one, we saw the benefit of that respect immediately. I think we need a health Coleman (outside for contested catches), Shakir in the slot, and a respectable burner on the outside. Yes, that's Cooper right now, but I don't think his replacement needs to be as good as Cooper, just someone who you can't let run free down the sidelines. If we have that, then I think this offense is in great shape and Josh plays a better brand of ball

I really wish this game was after the bye. I don't think McD will rush people back just for this game, but it would be nice to give our injured guys next week off and then have the bye week to really get everyone healthy. Granted, even with a win I don't see us taking the 1 seed by the time the season is over, but that 2 seed would be really nice. Just have to hope the AFC North beats the crap out of each other

In watching the Colts game where we really only had Samuel and Shakir as solid WR options (no shade thrown at Hollins, but he is more of a blocker and situational catcher for us), Josh looked more like early 2023 Josh in this game. You could see that they were trying to get Samuel involved early and it looked like he was trying to force some throws. Both of his interceptions, first real ones all season, came when Josh seemed to be pressing a bit. Granted, one was an under-thrown ball and the other Josh didn't seem to even see the defender. Regardless, Josh seemed like he wasn't able to read the entire field and was limited in who he was willing to throw to. The result, in my humble opinion, was a less free throwing Josh who could get through a variety of reads. There's been a lot of talk that part of Josh's interception struggles last year was due to trying to keep Diggs, and sometimes Davis, involved in the gameplan. This season, Josh hasn't really needed to care about any of that and has been much better protecting the ball and "everyone eats." To me, this game was similar to that, but more-so for lack of options. With all that being said, I think this shows that maybe we shouldn't be the team who pays a #1, but has 3-4 guys out there that Josh can trust to get open and make catches. Cooper, if he is ever healthy again, is that deep threat who teams at least have to respect, but I would argue we don't need a 20 mil per year receiver for that. In fact, I would argue that if we can draft a burner next season, have him opposite of Coleman, with Shakir in the slot, this offense will be great and cheap. Yes, this still assumes the compliment of the running game alongside Kincaid. Just thoughts...

These are the games that infuriate me. Refs making a bs impact. Millionaire players just not mentally ready for the game. No excuses for either -

Looks like Josh will have the underneath stuff all game. Dolphins have 7 in coverage and none of them within 5 yards of the LOS -

Benford and Cooper? I have a bad feeling about this game. Benford was amazing in the first matchup -
Week 9, Fish v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Virgil replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have a bad feeling about this game, as everyone seems to be overlooking it, including the media. The Bills are 0-3 in their last games played on Daylight Savings time and Tua is 4-0-01 when the spread against him is 6 or more points. Dolphins 28 Bills 20 This game has become the Superbowl to the Dolphins, but get the wind knocked out of them easily. If the Bills allow them to hang around and gain any confidence, it could be a close one at the end. Bernard playing is huge, but the Dolphins are going to come out strong. -
Calling it now: You're all about to witness the arrival of Shakir

How does it feel to be so wrong? You should consider deleting your account and changing teams to root for. And it's public for everyone to see...Ouch 😜 -
I was thinking the same thing, but most of the catches for Shakir and Coleman were with Cooper not on the field. Which, to be honest, is good to see them separating and making plays on their own.
