  1. I'm really surprised. I thought they were at the point to make the jump. Their D should have been much better and the offense looked good last year.
  2. I reserve the right to hold at 6-10 until next week. If they get to 2-2, they are back in it. At 1-3, I think some guys realize the odds against them and the fight fades out.
  3. The environment of the game always dictated standing and was typically set by the very first row. If it's a close game and the first row stands, then it's a domino effect and everyone ends up standing. I'm completely fine with that. Now, if it's a blow out, against a nobody, team, that makes a difference. But again, the crowd as a whole can feel that atmosphere change anyways. You hear announcers all the time say how the opposing team really took the crowd out of it. With that, if you are in the lower bowl and the 10 rows in front of you are sitting down, then sit down. Now you are being obnoxious. You are no better than the people who can't time when to go get drinks/bathroom. For those who have older people or kids, I wouldn't recommend the lower bowl during the first few home games or against division rivals. Yes, everyone has a right to go anywhere, but it doesn't make it smart. I can't go to a rock concert and be mad when the form a mosh pit. I can't wait to take my daughter to her first football game, but it's going to be a while until I know she can handle the noise, profanity, and standing. I want her to experience the whole thing. If not, or I'm taking my old mother, then I will sit in the upper bowl or family section. To the OP, I agree with you. To the guy with the people standing in front of you and only they were standing. I agree with you. But overall, you run that risk when you go to the best tailgating stadium in the league. People get kicked out everywhere. You need to be prepared for it
  4. 1 - Hughes 2 - McCoy 3 - Gilmore 4 - Graham 5 - Felton
  5. McKelvin is out for this game too. It's crazy what they are doing to the Steelers
  6. Are you mad at your friends? Did they not pay you back on a loan? Why would you do this to them? We don't know any better.
  7. McCoy had a great game and I can't argue why he'd be your MVP. I just think the defense set the tone of this game and his pressure was the first part of it. No question McCoy was offensive
  8. As the commentators said, the DB's were just making plays this week. They were in position last week and just couldn't make the same plays. I've been very happy with Alexander filling in for Shaq. Spikes for Ragland has been good too. Now Dareus......!@#$ Dareus. I can only imagine our pass rush with that selfish !@#$ plowing up the middle
  9. 1 - This was the first game I've seen in a long time where they came out ready to play. The first offensive series gave me a scare with a punt, but Woods did get held and I think he scores a TD if he wasn't. He had the guy beat by a step and that hold caused him the 1-2 steps he needed. The team was fired up on defense out the gate and the Bills offense kept it going. Good job to Lynn and Rex for getting them ready 2 - Felton. I can't stress this enough. Felton was HUGE in this game. On all of the replays, he was right there making blocks for McCoy and they were big blocks. It was great to see us utilize him. 3 - TT looked comfortable. Yes, that read option pitch was almost a nightmare and his passing totals weren't huge. But after that first long run, you finally saw him making those short passes he's been missing. He was accurate, he made some throws over the middle. He wasn't great, but he was so much better than the first two weeks. I'm taking is as a sign of progress. Not done with him yet. 4 - Paradise waits, on the crest of a wave, her angels in flames. She has no pain, like a child she is pure, she is not to blame. Poised for flight, wings spread bright, spring from night into the sun. Don't stop to run, she can fly like a lie, she can't be outdone. Tell me the cost; I can pay, let me go, tell me love is not lost. Sell everything; without love day to day insanity's king. I will pay day by day, anyway, lock, bolt and key. Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see. Help on the way, well, I know only this, I've got you today. Don't fly away, cause I love what I love and I want it that way. I will stay one more day, like I say, honey it's you. Making it too, without love in a dream it will never come true. 5 - I made a post before the game about how others needed to step up in wake of all the injuries and that they did. O'Leary had a great catch, Powell came up big a few times. White was huge in place of Darby. Can't say enough good things 6 - Carpenter needs to get it together. We can't afford these misses. I love him for 50+ yarders, but he's got to be more consistent on the extra points and short yardage kicks. Those can be such momentum killers 7 - MVP - Hughes. Just been a monster this season and really stepping up without Dareus. Runner up - Gilmore definitely bounced back and was happy to see it. Took advantage of Palmer being in catch-up time, was patient, and jumped on the plays when they unfolded. His INT was a great catch. 8 - Fans are another MVP. There were parts of the stadium that never sat down. I've said it before and I'll say it again; best true fans in the league 9 - McCoy. I don't know if it's a slight to Roman or if he just fed off the energy, but this man was running hard today. He looked like the man we traded for and you could see the fight in his eyes. More importantly, he was having fun out there. 10 - Rex. I have to give credit where it's due. You handled business today. Others may question how we played softer in the 4th quarter but he played the odds, our lead, and the clock. When he did blitz in the 4th, it was effective. The only play where I lost my mind was the time-out before the delay of game. But they turned around with a great blitz and killed that drive. So, I apologize for the thoughts in my brain. On to New England for a critical game. 2-2 would be a decent start for us heading into this season. Not the games I would have picked to win, but I'd take it. Enjoyed the Shoutbox and look forward to a week with a check in the win column. Go Bills
  10. He was supposed to get fired in the offseason and they decided to give it another chance. The way they've been dominated and lost games, he just runs an antiquated system.
  11. I don't think this game wipes the bad taste of weeks 1 and 2 out of our mouths, but it MIGHT NOT be the doom and gloom we thought. Yes, 1 win. But, it makes next weeks game huge. We start 2-2, regardless of against to who, we are right back in it before some winnable games and 1 game out of 1st place in the East
  12. This is why I'm glad I posted it beforehand and that's exactly what they did. Great job using other WR's and TE's to step up. White played fantastic. And Felton is not going to get enough credit for this game He made some huge blocks to free up McCoy. He gets my gameball
  13. I'm not saying I'm going to pick the next lottery winners, but I would recommend the numbers 5, 21, 42, 55, and 90
  14. You keep forgetting the most important trait. Last name is Kelly! Science B word
  15. Before this game against the Cards even starts, I want to put out there that injuries can't be an excuse. I've said this before and gotten roasted for it, but I think it's becoming more prevalent. One players can't make your team. If they do, then it's your job to make sure you have depth at that position or other options. I hate to reference the Pats or Vikings, but they both lost positions that many thought would be crippling to them. They are 5-0 combined. So if Sammy's out, a player who had off-season surgery and missed games his first two years, then okay. As a coach/GM who knows this, what's plan B? If you are weak at a position, draft a guy who MIGHT need surgery, what's your plan B? I'm not just calling out the injuries, suspensions, firing of the OC in Week 2. I'm not saying this to pile on, as I know many will take it this way. I'm saying that we have a 50+ man roster, a year to prepare, FA, drafts, etc. Teams lose players all the time and it's not over. I don't care that we are playing the Cards. Be a coach, be a GM. Be ready. And for the other side of the coin...yes, I think the Colts are a terrible franchise for what happened after Peyton got hurt. They never gave him a supporting cast. So when he went down, #1 pick was theirs. They are doing the same thing with Luck. The minute Peyton got support in Denver, 2 Superbowls (should have been 3) and won 1 of them. Now please, make sure you only read one sentence and only respond to that.
  16. I have many thoughts on this. For example: How long until this thread gets deleted. Is cocaine really that helluva drug. Why aren't there more internet filters. I didn't know there were people out there crazier than me. But for the sake of fun, okay. Tanking the Bills is like shooting a quadrapaligic in the leg.
  17. Dreamt the Bills won big. Mark it in the W column!
  18. Because of who he is, I'm going to be fascinated with his off-season rankings and draft status. Players always get magically better when the season is over. Being in the SEC and from Ole Miss, I think he'll go a full round higher than his current projections. I'll say late round 1, maybe top 15 if he has a great rest of the season. Not saying that's when he should go, but he's a big conference quarterback and that's what they do
  19. You wash your mouth(hands) out.
  20. This isn't about drafting him, when he should be drafted, or Tyrod. Having the ability to watch him play in his first 4 games and a few last year, he just reminds me so much of Jimbo. He's got the broad shoulders, the gun slinger mentality, and the over confident throws to a fault. I remember so many times when Jim would just have a little to much faith in his ability or receivers and make a poor throw. Chad seems the same way. Can make all the throws, will take a hit. Basically, they are both backyard, I want you to hit me, pull it out your ass kinda players. But yes, I would also draft him. It would just be too much fun. Although I'm still in TT's corner
  21. I see what you did there
