  1. If we cut Josh Allen, the dead cap hit is only 99 million. Now, if that's too rich for your blood, we could always just make him a post June 1st cut and spread some of it into next year.
  2. No way!!! First I'm hearing any of this. How did you get this late breaking news so early?!?
  3. I looked ahead at the 2025 cap, and they don't list any dead money. I'm going to assume they just haven't updated it yet. Half of Tre's 10 mil should hit next year. We are also 40 mil under next years cap. Which, with these cuts, Josh locked in, and the cap going up again, isn't a bad place to be in. Also, next year is the year they could move on from Diggs, Miller, and Knox if they wanted to. It would only save them 15 mil total, but could be worth it Agreed 100%. I only wanted to see them restructure Oliver, Josh, Milano, and Dawkins.
  4. Strange they didn't list White. Maybe because he's a post June 1st cut and they can't yet?
  5. Is it bad that I immediately recognize that pic as Alison Brie?
  6. No real loss here
  7. I don’t get this at all. I’d rather draft a guy and take my chances. Guy had one or two good games, then fell off a cliff.
  8. Saw this coming. Sucks, but saw it coming. This is the business side of things
  9. I did not see that coming. Did they really think he couldn’t rebound from his injury? Sad day. The OG McD
  10. I'll be unhappy if the decent seats between the 30's all go to club seats or people with less seniority. I want to believe the Pegulas are tapped into the local market and fans, knowing how the fanbase is. But I also don't trust the influence of the NFL owners to make this stadium as much of a money grab as possible.
  11. This isn't the first time I've heard that priority will be based on seat location, not seniority. My other concern are the multiple tiers halfway up the stadium. Are those all considered to be club seats? If so, that's a huge increase of seats from the old stadium, which will give less options to regular season ticket holders. This is similar to the concerns I saw with how Jacksonville prioritized their club seats.
  12. Saints make it look easy. Sign players to large, stupid contacts, restructure and kick the can down the road, close eyes and hope down the road never comes
  13. I think he gets extended as part of the cap reduction plan. He’s overall solid and already here. He’s a leader on offense and has plenty of good years left.
  14. Is that a thing? If Chicago reworks his deal, it affects our cap hit?
  15. I too am surprised, but wasn't aware of his cap hit. I don't think this closes the door on us moving on from Morse. Like RB's, many don't see C as a 1st round value. I could see us go WR and C in our first 3 rounds, then spend the rest of our attention on defense.
  16. How bad do you have to be that a team would rather eat 85 mil in dead space over two years than let you play quarterback? Add to that, they don't even have a replacement yet and still would rather take their chances
  17. Sounds like all you need is a drink
  18. Personally, I think we stay put or trade back. We need more cheap rookie contracts to fill this team out with our cap situation.
  19. I feel like he'll get more than 21 mil from someone else, but could be wrong. I'd expect 25-30 mil.
  20. Please no. I know we needed lineman, but we have so much money in Von and Oliver, that I don't want to see another 1st round pick on a lineman yet. Give Josh another weapon on offense, then you can go defensive for the rest of the draft. I would like to see them draft a center than can replace Morse this year or next, but that's about it. Get all the D-Lineman, Safeties, and DB's McD can handle in rounds 2-7
  21. Can't they just franchise tag him? Or did they already say they weren't going to do that?
  22. With the recent release of DB Jackson, the Pats have 101 million in cap space. That's an absolutely crazy number! If you were the GM, besides disbanding the team and keeping the money for yourself, what would you do? The Pats have 54 players under contract for 2024, so they don't exactly have a crazy number of holes to fill. For me, I would do the following: - Since I don't have a QB, I would possibly look into other teams with cap concerns and maybe pull a Brock Osweiler trade to take on some salary cap, and acquire picks. The Pats already have the #3 overall pick and are in prime position to draft a QB, but more picks for a new Coach and philosophy is always a good thing. - Spend money in the trenches. No matter where the Pats go at QB, build up that offensive line and defensive line. Spend money on FA's with front loaded contracts that pay the majority in the first 3 years. That way, when it's time to pay your skill players in that time, you will have money again to pay them. - Get that short term player that can sell tickets. I think I would go after a Barkley or Henry, even with Stevenson on the team. I want someone that can put butts in seats while the team finds it's new identity. - Check the temperature on Kirk Cousins. If you want the capacity to win now, Kirk is more than good enough to support a team into the playoffs. I don't see him leaving Minnesota, but it can't hurt to ask I know those are all pretty basic ideas, but that's what I got.
