  1. Allen. I think he’s the smokescreen all the teams are using to hide who they really want. Mayfield is my 2nd choice, but I don’t see him falling past 12. I could see all the other guys dropping to round 2
  2. For all we know, they like both Rosen and Mayfield and the Jets jumped up for nothing. Hell, the Broncos could jump to #2 and they could take Rosen, Darnold, and Allen. We just have no idea
  3. After the Jets trade yesterday, I feel like everyone should have the sharp objects removed from their homes. I get it, the Jets are going to get a top QB and the Browns won't trade #1. Beane was being praised just 48 hours ago for the TT and Glenn trade. His FA moves were solid and needed. The draft is over a month away. If we really want to jump to #2, we can still do that and it's not that painful. If Beane thinks the guy we want needs to be drafted that high, we can drop both 1st's this year and our 1st next year to jump up the 10 spots. If needed, we can throw in a 2nd or 3rd to create the same overpay the Jets did. We would still have three pics left in the top 3 rounds. Beane can easily get starting positions out of those. And in the grand scheme of things, we will then have our Franchise QB and the 2 extra picks we gave up with be nothing in hindsight. I'm just saying, this isn't the end of days. If we wanted Rosen, #2 was probably always the plan. Darnold was probably off the table with Cleveland. Whoever the Jets don't take, Rosen or Mayfield (Allen is the dream). The question really is Denver. If they are open for business, then they aren't going QB and one of those two will fall and it won't cost must of anything to trade up if we are worried about someone else jumping in front of us (Arizona). End of the day, we still have options that don't cripple us and I don't think the Jets did anything that wasn't expected. For the optimists, think this way. What if Darnold goes 1st and Allen goes to the Jets. Rosen or Mayfield could drop to 12 maybe if the Broncos are good with Keenum, which they might be after that deal. Let's just take some breaths
  4. All articles say he was terrible, but still a 4 year starter. Doesn’t add up
  5. Then pick our QB with one of them, have him turn out better than whoever the Jets pick, laugh at their misery for the next decade
  6. Jets changed nothing. If we wanted Rosen, we needed to pick 2nd all along. If we went to 3 or 4, the Jets would have just traded to 2. I actually think it’s dumb the Jets didn’t go to 2. They are allowing us or any other QB needy team to scoop them and now they’ve spent their assets
  7. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m implying. It’s sounds crazy on the surface, I get it. We’d have to give them a 7th or something for logistics. But the Giants know us and the Jets would go QB. That means the Browns get their QB first then whatever player they want without interference from other teams at picks 2 and 3. For them to get the same result, they’d need to trade from 4 to 2 and give up more. Does that not make sense? Again, won’t happen. But it makes sense to me
  8. I would **** myself. Then Rosen and Mayfield are available, which one may fall to us
  9. If it costs them a 2nd and 4th to trade up from 4 to 2 to get their guy. Or if they gave us a 3rd to help us move up, also guaranteeing they get their guy at 4, how is that not a good deal for them? Again, it won’t happen. But it’s act beneficial to them.
  10. To jump into all the hysteria..... Browns want a QB and Barkely I believe. Giants are going BPA. Browns know Jets and Bills want QB. Could it be beneficial, or is there any history of a trade between all three teams? The points system is still used and the result is: 1 - Browns (QB) 2 - Bills (QB) 3 - Jets (QB) 4 - Browns (Barkley) 12 - Giants If we trade up to #2, it would benefit the Browns greatly. They would KNOW then that they would get the best non-QB at the #4 spot. So could there be a 3 team trade where the Browns give us a pick in rounds 2 or 3 to us, that we package to trade with the Giants. This will NEVER happen, but it almost makes sense. If the Browns was Barkley, they’d have to trade up from 4 to 2, which would cost hem more than just a 2nd round pick. (See Chicago last year). So instead of that, they give us some of the ammo we need to move up and make sure their guy is there at 4. I don’t know if this makes any sense, but it does in my brain. And I know it hasn’t happened before, nor will it, but still was an interesting thought.
  11. Everyone who wants a QB picks before 21. If we don’t trade up, I’m not taking a QB until round 2 at the earliest
  12. I don’t want Jackson, hence my making that a point
  13. Not worth it. We can’t give up what it will take and field a team. At this point, I set my sights on getting ahead of Denver and getting the 3rd QB. Hopefully Mayfield
  14. For those saying bye so easily, who is our starting MLB? Especially if we trade up
  15. So happy Tolbert isn’t on that list
  16. He fills a need and knows the system. People aren’t knocking down his door. 5-6 mil for a 2-3 years hopefully gets it done and he’s serviceable until we upgrade. I know McDermott wants his Kuechley
  17. It’s hard. We need our QB. NEED. With that being said, if we could keep our picks and grab a MLB, WR, RT, C, OLB, and DB with our first 6 picks, we would be in great shape. Ideally, I wish we liked all 4 QB’s and would just take one at 12. But I feel like only Allen would fall and I’d be forced to vomit for 3 straight days after
  18. The kid out of LSU with our second round pick
  19. McCarron. Great value, huge need, and maybe surprises us. In a market where Bradford got $20 mil, McCarron was a steal
  20. It’s easy when they seem to do everything right. Check back with me if they draft Allen
  21. Damn, I didn’t think there would be that much left. Treat Yo Self Beane
  22. Jesse, I'm with you. It all basically sounds like he has to be trained to be an NFL QB. When does that ever work out? The guys with the tools and skills hardly make it these days. It's like saying that just because I have a pulse and can read, I can be in NASA. Just need to teach me a few things
  23. Way to blatantly tell someone that a different player is better than you.
  24. Maybe. But all three of the top teams haven’t had a running game in years. He’s the #1 prospect on a lot of people’s boards
