  1. 24/20 489 yards. 7tds, -5 ints. 8 tackles, 2 punts inside the 20, 1 pancake block
  2. I was more hyped for the 3rd preseason game than I am for the season opener. It’s hard when you know your starting QB isn’t the future, although I agree it’s the right decision. Just knowing we are in year two of our “rebuild” makes it hard to get excited because most of our future probably isn’t on the team yet on offense. Outside of Josh Allen and Dawkins, I’m not sure who will fill out the rest of our entire offense in two years. Defensively, I’m more intrigued as we are a lot closer there. However, Edmunds needs time and is vital to a McDermott defense. Overall, expectations are low and excitement is more about football being back than Bills football success
  3. I just don't get this, I really don't. Are the Jets and Dolphins really that much better than us? They have very similar schedules and I just don't see where they made huge offseason upgrades. I'd argue the Dolphins could be worse now. Last season I wondered how bad Derek Carr's back affected him, but if that was a step back, I could see Oakland being a trainwreck. Either way, I don't mind being overlooked, but I just can't see us as the worst team in the league.
  4. Can we close and vault this thread. It depresses me
  5. If you want a Kiko Alonso jersey, I know a guy who sells them from his car for jaw dropping deals
  6. His redemption would be amazing if he blew out the Chargers
  7. I’m feeling the Bills clench. Waiting for the inevitable smack back into reality to crush any preseason hype this morning.
  8. Listen, I’ve asked nicely. Please stop mentioning Tolbert on here. The PTSD is strong and I can’t keep off the bottle if this continues.
  9. That’s where Mack comes into play. If the offers are the same, Mack pry gets to choose because his agent has to inform the teams he’s willing to sign the extension first
  10. I wonder if Webb comes back. If we are going to carry 2 QB’s, he makes sense for special teams and WR
  11. I don't know why this mad me laugh so hard
  12. Can that 12 mil be rolled over? I never understood how that works? If not, I don't think we have anyone where it would make sense to extend or rework for future cap relied. Benjamin would make sense, but I'm not giving him a new contract yet until I see something
  13. It's interesting to me to think about the perceptive ups and downs of the offseason. If you told me at the end of last season that our options at starting QB the following season would be Peterman and Josh Allen, while losing Woods and Incognito without gaining a real replacement, I probably would have thrown up. Now that the season is starting, I'm not sure how I feel about our chances. I do know this; teams don't show anything in the preseason. I remember when Spurrier was lighting teams up in preseason only to get crushed in the regular season and we have countless recent Super Bowl winners who go 0-4 in the preseason. Teams practice rotations and fundamentals, not strategy nor playbook schemes. With that being said, I'm feelings cautiously optimistic going into the season, but fully prepared for a letdown. Overall, here's what I'm thinking: Peterman should start, but he's on a short leash. He was clearly the best QB and made the offensive line look good with his quick release on short reads. However, he looked good in the preseason last year because teams weren't blitzing him. That changed against the Chargers and we all know how that went. If Peterman has learned from that and can keep getting the ball out quick, then I think it's good for Allen to watch. Once the season is over mathematically, it's Allen's turn as he is our future. Our offensive line scares the crap out of me and that hasn't changed. Our biggest weapon is Shady and I expect teams to stack the box until we provide a passing game. We all know what we saw in the preseason and I'm hoping that was because we were trying out new things, but getting pushed back off the line like we did was a joke and I don't see that changing. This, plus the Chargers game, has me the most worried. Wide receiver is not a concern for me as much anymore. If I learned one thing this preseason, it's that Benjamin is more than capable of being a #1. After that, we have decent enough guys that can spread the field and be serviceable enough. Zay is the wild card, but the other guys seem serviceable enough. Defense is where I'm the most concerned as I saw more of the same from last year. While I'm excited to see Edmunds grow as a rookie, he showed a lot of hesitation and will take some time. We didn't see our new front 4 together, but I'm hoping we get our money's worth with Murphy and Star. Our pass rush and run stop last year was weak at best in certain games. What's a bigger concern is how we cover the middle of the field. We gave up a quite a few plays as we did last season. I know we employ a bend but don't break, but with how we drafted and spent or FA money, I'd hope to see some better pressure and negative plays. Overall, I think we will be competitive, but I worry about us against strong teams. It really comes down to our offensive scheme to compensate for our lack of talent and if our FA defensive players can make an impact. Right now, I have us at 7-9. I still think we are the 2nd best team in our division and we are disciplined enough with McDermott to win those close games that we normally shoot ourselves in the foot with. Thoughts?
  14. 23 mil a year. Yeah, still would have done it. Would have the money for an O-Line next offseason and if our draft picks this year pan out, get another WR, we are in solid shape with a young team.
  15. Yes to Wright, no to Johnson
  16. If they guy can win a superbowl, he can start until your future is healthy. Absolutely no reason to rush him back. Smart move.
  17. I would have done it. I'm sure that makes me crazy, but I would have. It's a lot. I see that it's a lot and you have to pay him. But I just don't see a player you're going to get that is going to be better than him with you 1st pick next year. After that, I give up a 1st, but with Mack and all the cap space we have next year, I expect that pick to be in the 20's. I'm getting back a 2nd round pick. So I have 2 seconds and 4-7. That doesn't include any deals between now and then. I'm getting a pro-bowl player in his prime instead of unknowns. We have the money and I think he's be an absolute catalyst for our defense. The first time he takes down Brady, no one cares what it cost.
  18. He was terrible in the slot imo
  19. Have details still not been released?
  20. So a 7th round pick and more dead cap space. Nice
