Amazing contract. Wow

Agreed. It looks like the covering is a lot less than what the model or Tottenham used Almost none of the lower bowl, minus a few rows on the home side (also weird) is covered. If nothing else, help prevent having to dig out more seats during storms.

The Chiefs lost to us in every single regular season game over the past 4 years. I’d argue it’s really not that important. Obviously, you need to make the playoffs, but we are past that.

My people…

All this tells me is the Chiefs are playing chess while we are playing checkers. We should be showing the Chiefs nothing of value in the regular season, or at the very least, plan B. Use the regular season to setup the offseason. Even the 4th down play was the Chiefs sending a different pressure than we’d seen all game. Meanwhile, we ran the same stuff repeatedly. This is the difference in the games. They are one step ahead of us.

The steepness of the upper deck in this new stadium is worrisome for me. When in London for the Jags game and in the stadium ours is being modeled after, the upper decks were super steep. I worry about older and drunk people navigating them. Yes, the upper deck is closer to the field than before, but to compensate for that and get as many seats in, they are at a much steeper angle. When you see the stadium seating charts from the side view, that also shows canopy coverings, you can see it there too. I'm also surprised to see PSL's in the upper deck starting at $2,500 on the visitor side.

Your thoughts on the Bills offseason so far
Virgil replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Beane has done the best he could based off what was available. There isn't a player we've missed out on that I was disappointed in. My only reason for this not being an A+ offseason to this point is: -I don't like Groot's contract being over 15 mil per -The two PED suspended FA players -11 mil in dead cap for Milano next year seems a bit high With that being said, I trust their evaluations of players, so maybe Groot proves to be worth it. Milano is a ticking timebomb of injuries lately. The regular season almost means nothing to us at this point, so if everyone is healthy and ready for the playoffs, then who cares. -
Matt Milano agrees to pay cut, 2025 becomes final year of his deal

What FA's will be able to sign as a result of this? -
Bengals extend Chase (4 yrs $161mill) AND Higgins (4 yrs $115mill)
Virgil replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
In an unrelated note, Bengals defense ranks 33rd in new coaches poll and will only be blocking with 3 NFL players and 2 cheerleaders.- 237 replies

I’m really curious as to what the difference in offers was. I’d think, even if it was slightly better in NE, it would be easier to stay put and play for a winner. Personally, I was hoping we’d offer him a 3yr, 12 mil total deal. He was a great culture fit, didn’t mind getting dirty, and showed up in moments.

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
Virgil replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don’t worry, it’s only a third of the season…..🤦🏻♂️ -
There's enough DB's that can start for us that will be available by our 3rd overall pick. Also, I would argue that Elam aside, they do a great job of finding DB's that can play. I'm not even remotely worried about when they take a DB. Now, Defensive Line evals....that's another story

There's a reason he's still available and other WR's have already signed

Browns ink Myles Garrett to an Extension

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44251246/myles-garrett-admits-frustration-says-browns-winner He can kick rocks. Saying it wasn't about the money, but being convinced the team can win. With what QB? And in that division? Just own it man. You got paid -
Very happy with this. Still want to see us draft a #2 DB, but Jackson and Ingram give us good depth and insurance

I felt the same way, but now that I know it's going to be about Ted with the woman's team, I like the idea more. If they had the men's team fall apart and need Ted back, I feel like that would have undone some of the magic from the first 3 seasons. This way, people from the men's team can pop in and out, but we still get something overall new to tackle. I just hope Ted's wife and son come with him this time, and they don't rehash that old storyline

Crazy how time flies, but it's almost time for our annual TSW Mock NFL Drafts. For those of you new here, we host a mock draft where 31 TSW members volunteer to take ownership of an NFL team and make selection in a Mock Draft thread. We do three mock drafts, one with trades (2 rounds), one without (3 rounds), and then a final one with trades (1 round) on the week of the draft. On 3/30/25, I will create a sign-up thread for people who want to volunteer to be a GM. We do typically require a min post and tenure count to join, not to be exclusive, but to ensure active participation. Trust me, there's nothing worse than when someone doesn't make their pick because they haven't signed on in days. With that being said, when I make the sign-up post, I tag prior GM's to remind them we've started sign-ups. If you are interested in being tagged as well, feel free to respond to this post. To be clear, saying you are interested now does not guarantee you will be added, just notify you when we are starting. And for those wondering, the Bills have 1,320 trade points in their first 4 picks, which could get them as high as 10th Go Bills

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
Virgil replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good. This is what I want to see too. Save him for the playoffs I'm not surprised to hear this, but I love that Josh really gets what it would be like if he won the whole damn thing -
I agree that we need to draft a versatile LB, as we've had to call people up at the position each of the past few years. Also, we will run some 3 LB sets at time. I'm happy with Dorian in those spots, and as a backup/future for Milano. But we don't really have anyone after that, to fill in well enough for if Bernard gets hurt again. Why wasn't he invited? Is there more to this? I'm not tracking

Chiefs and Commanders tampering with Ronnie Stanley
Virgil replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wasn't this proven to be inaccurate? -
Sadly, I think this is the new normal for quick, low paying deals for anyone who has any form of production.
-
I'm not trying to project, I was moreso saying as of now. Yes, we may still bring back Douglas, or maybe even Dane Jackson. I'm sure we will get a few more 1 year deal guys. I personally don't think WR or Edge is going to get a pick in the top 4 rounds unless someone falls. I know that Bosa is injured a lot, but we still don't typically activate more than 4 DE's per game. As of now, that's Groot, AJ, Bosa, and the Hoecht. Again, could get another one in for down the road after Bosa leaves, but I don't see that being a high pick. Same for WR. I think they will go after a depth guy, but with Samuel, Coleman, Shakir, and Palmer, those are going to be our main production starters. If someone falls, then okay. No matter what, I don't see us signing our long term answer at DB, so that is a priority. If they believe Bishop is the guy at S, then okay. Honestly, as I type this up, I really think we are going to either package picks to trade up for more premiere players, or trade into next years draft.
