  1. I like the strategy, it’s great - I don’t like the HC sharing all this information.... it can only help our opponents. No need to teach our opponents how they can also develop a competitive advantage. That’s one reason why Belicheck is so successful - he keeps his lips sealed (To the greatest extent possible - not withstanding media requirements). I know, queue the “Belicheat” moniker, but when you think about it, doesn’t “Find a way” essentially mean “anything goes” ??? I’m not implying anything, just throwing it out there for thoughts / discussion.
  2. You got me - my mistake and thanks for pointing out. Nevertheless, my point stands about the low class remarks by this individual about entire communities. Name calling - no good.
  3. Don’t forget the “key to the city” and he offered some painful (but necessary) critique of the organization. Coconut - I like that, but my heart is still in Western New York - I miss you guys.
  4. Terrell Owens. Why: No other player did more in 8 months time (the length of his stay with the team) for the Bills. Am I wrong with my assessment ?
  5. What a shame. His father was a true professional and had class! Now look what the son did to the family name after all the hard work his father did. I don’t think Bills fans have to pile on, this “individual” already did enough harm to himself and his family. Providing critical feedback, that’s ok. Calling entire communities names - NO GOOD, it’s low class.
  6. I beat u to it - sort of, LOL. (See my previous post on the first page, I didn’t know how to include it here). But I’m very happy you were able to substantiate what I was trying recognize but fell short on. Lots of good men (too many to list) from the early years.
  7. I’m looking at everyone else’s responses and I don’t see any names from the earlier years (1960s), I guess we have a younger crowd here today; I only started following the team in 1981. As a result, I’d like to recognize the 1964, 1965, 1966 Bills teams as whole and say thank you for their hard work and for establishing a great foundation for the franchise, the city of Buffalo, and Western New York.
  8. Levi Wallace. Why - because he called us (Me and my 11 year old son) a few weeks ago and had good conversation with him.
  9. I really like the 1998/1999 team; here’s why: - number one defense in the league that season - Doug Flutie with his excellent experience leading the team and many other seasoned veterans still on the roster (Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Phil Hansen just to name a few). Sure they were at or near the end of their careers, but the experience they offered can’t be underestimated. - A really strong running game.
  10. What happened ? Please share if you can, I’m curious. I do sense they (McDermott and Levy) have very different leadership styles.
  11. As much as I despised those days (ref pic), I REALLY miss that spirit of competition and the rivalry as a whole. Guess I’m too old now (age 49). Wish we had those games again with the Wild West atmosphere at the stadium - IT WAS GREAT !
  12. I wonder if Marv Levy has been a part of any conversations with the current Bills staff. Does anyone have any insight here ?
  13. Thanks for the info. Maybe Bills Mafia can crash and overtake the Browns draft party??!! On another note, anyone know if Buffalo can / will ever be a NFL draft host ? Anyone know the criteria ? Does it even need to be in an NFL city? Would love for the draft to be here in Honolulu - LOL, I know I’m dreaming, but it would be great.
  14. We’re talking about / comparing Bills draft vs draft of other teams (NOT just the Patriots. But your overwhelming hate for the Patriots has made that ur focus. Call them cheaters all you want, they have and continue to outperform our Bills - calling them cheaters doesn’t change that. And in my initial response here I was comparing draft strategy and draft preparation- and we got hammered when you compare by any reasonable standard
  15. Trust me, I hope you’re right. But past results / this weeks results tell me I’m right. And even if Belicheck can’t draft TE’s / other positions, the Patriots create room for error by always accumulating picks... by the way, I wouldn’t want to compare the Bills TE draft history with the Patriots ... TE is the most ignored position by the team for the last 20-30 years ...: unfortunate. And I don’t accept the premise that spending 3rd and 7th picks last year prove we are set - far from it.
  16. Cheaters, LOL, call them what u want, they are whipping the Bills in this draft - and I say that from an unfortunate stand point. Calling the patriots cheaters over and over and over again for decades won’t change past results and won’t change the results of today’s draft. They are doing a better job - Patriots (plus Ravens ) shaped the landscape for this already 12-16 months ago and I wish our GM would be just a proactive. Until we do better we can expect the same results going into the future. And calling them cheaters won’t change a thing.
  17. What am I taking about ?? It’s clear as day what I’m talking about - but I’ll be clearer for you, Patriots and Ravens (who beat us last year and were given a worse draft position than the Bills) are kicking our rear ends AGAIN in this draft - and that will manifest its self on the field AGAIN for years to come. I didn’t say the Bills had a bad draft, I’m saying Ravens, Patriots and few others are having far better drafts - and all the prep (shaping activities ) for each draft starts 12-16 months prior. That’s what I’m talking about.
  18. Reviewing the comments here on how great the Bills GM is as a result of today’s draft - but I haven’t read a single post providing any justification as to why ? I grade today’s draft by the Bills as a generally fair to barely average; with my rationale: - when I compare the Bills draft to other teams (Patriots and Ravens to make a few) we definitely did not get the same value. - I cannot find any way possible to see how the Bills 2 lone picks (plus one trade / Diggs) are better than the Ravens and Patriots drafts today. - The GM is responsible for “shaping” future drafts to allow for a maximum amount of picks to correspond with best value. I didn’t see any of that from the Bills GM within the last year leading up to today’s draft and none of it today during the execution of today’s draft. I do commend the great work which was accomplished with the salary cap and related contracts which is exceptionally hard work - especially to correct all the poor contracts given by the previous GM. If I’m missing something about today, I would like to know - again little to no justification seems to have been provided for today’s so called exceptional work.
  19. I think you’re spot on with identifying the GM’s approach here. While I can’t give a name of the player he would move up for, I think the formula the GM would move up on (in the 2nd round) for a player would include the following: - someone who has a first round grade (Based on GMs methodology). - someone who is attainable with draft assets we have this year. - position of need (that’s what - in my opinion - makes it a challenge to determine what the GM will do today / tomorrow). In my opinion, value is what will drive who will be drafted and where. I don’t think there is any other factor here other than value.
  20. Maybe he is so sick he can’t even speak, breathe, or whatever other hardships may come with the infection. If that’s the case, remarks about “infections over the Internet” and “cutting to him” don’t address the issue. We just don’t know enough about the circumstances regarding his health to make a judgment, (nor should we know, his health, his business). Thoughts ?
  21. Side note: Tua is from my neighborhood; Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Population - 14,000. Pronounced, E’va. Too bad university of Hawaii couldn’t keep him.
  22. I’ve watched him play (live at Aloha Stadium) a few times and I’m not seeing the same things you are. Specifically, his on field decision making and understanding of the game seem questionable to me. I definitely don’t see him blending in with Buffalo. But a really nice guy and only wish him well.
  23. I hate to agree with you, but I know you’re right.
  24. Count me as a BIG fan of TO. As I remember, he called out the organization (when no one else within the team would) when he thought the team could do things better. I appreciate him a lot for that! And he always did all he possibly could to prepare and help his team win! I don’t believe any other city embraced TO as much as Buffalo did. Am I wrong? Thoughts ? And I’m not normally a big fan of these late career signings, but wish the Bills would at least explore this one. Maybe one year contract (plenty of incentives), no guarantees, invite to camp and see what happens ? TO seems willing. What’s the downside ? Thoughts ?
  25. For those who don’t know, they were the excess / replicated Detroit Lions uniforms during our first season.
