Well, I extended the “olive branch” ..... hope your bitterness for me goes away sometime soon.

They didn't cheat - they just competed hard ....also, Bills players (who, if anyone, have a right to gripe) barely cared about the so called infractions, so it’s awkward some fans care more about the so called cheating than the actual players on the field. If Patriots are so tainted, why have so many players taken pay cuts / reduced salaries to play for the team ? Bills GM and HC consistently say Patriots and Belicheck are the standard and heap praise on the Patriots. .... I get the good sportsmanship part, but they wouldn’t say it if it were not true. I think Bills GM and HC would be silent. Anyway, I don’t consider them tainted, and neither does the league or the championship trophies would be returned, and I don’t thing the rest of the teams in the NFL care too much either or they would have protested. Don, et al, I hope to get constructive feedback and def don’t mind a differing opinion, just hope we can get past the “piece of s**t” “Belicheat” and similar comments that seem like sour grapes. I like to engage with people who have different opinions, I want to learn new things and be challenged (background note to others, Don and I previously had some sharp disagreements that probably went to far). Flame away on my thoughts, just hope it’s doesn't get personal again. Cheers and best !

The other poster bought “global warming” into this (and now you're coming after me, nice, LOL) and therefore science (science and global warming are linked - right) when we were discussing investigations and the Patriots .... but nevertheless, you JUST proved my very point about bias, how dare I question a scientist... well news flash to you, scientists have bias too, just like everyone else - thought you would know that with all the experience you claim to have - and an amateur like me has to school you now - sad. Unreal, I denigrated a scientist by stating they can be biased - LOL .... you’re tired, go to bed.

“Nothing but love island guy”. ....well now you changed your tone (ref shovel and that I condone cheating - never said that) and I can reciprocate with “nothing but love” as you said. - Tell you about times Bills cheated: Im sure you heard of Fred Smerlas and Conrad Dobler, just to name a few. But I don’t consider what they did cheating, in my opinion (just like the patriots - I’m consistent here) they just competed hard. To be clearer about caring, I’m not sure why you care so much about my beliefs / opinions about what you call cheating and I believe is competing hard. Trust me, if this was about something meaningful in nature like a kid being short changed in their education, I’d be first in line for caring. This is football, I think there is room for differing opinions about competitive play (as I call it) and cheating (as you call it). Fair enough ? Peace ?

What does it say about me ?? Why do you care about me at all? cheating in football - they all cheat - for a 100 years now..... where’s your advocacy for when the Bills cheat/cheated? ..... “most” good scientists, that’s what we all hope for .... in every field of work in life. My point was simply about bias and a desire for a certain result (in this case Bills, Patriots, NFL and investigations)....reminder, the other poster initially brought science into this - not me.

He’s not a Bills fan ? EVEN BETTER! - I can trust him. “Fan” is an abbreviation for Fanatic. Often, a fanatic loses sight of reality, example, see ISIS and other similar groups. Fanaticism can grow to an unhealthy level to the point where the fanatic loses sight of reality, (ex. chopping off of heads by the fanatic for failure to translate a religious virtue as desired by that sick fanatic). Fanatics are everywhere, especially in sports and apparently but not surprisingly here at TBD. Disagree with the fanatics on anything, (especially Patriots related - and even more-so if it’s praise worthy) and they start to breathe fire. Im a huge Bills fan for almost 40 years now (I can name with great detail almost every payer who has been on their roster during that time) and I also got my son a Tom Brady jersey he happily wears .... who cares, it’s just football....recommend u don’t let it ruin / dominate your lives.

Z, you’re spot on, thanks for doing the analysis and corresponding write up which I just didn’t have the time or patience to do. It probably would have saved me plenty of grief with the other posters here who denied my claim that Stidham seems like a QB with a lot of potential.

And the schools in your area also seem to be cheating too. Don’t ask me where I get my proof ... it may hurt someone’s feelings. On another note, Kim Jung Un has also said the American student he held captive a few years ago was a spy and he also had proof (about as much as the NFL had) with due process in his court. Does that make KJU right ? Global warming (u bought it up - not me ).... beware, scientists have about as much bias as football fans ... maybe more ..... I studied science and scientists have about as much integrity as your local city prosecutor (it’s all about what they want to find) btw - Donald trump told me there is no such thing global warming ... just kidding (maybe).... ok I added that last part to incite you (sorry).

You’re assuming ethics are part of the mantra.... and even if you’re right that ethics are part of the HC’s mantra, the players will ultimately play within the rules or not..... it has to trickle down ..... and I’ll add even more fuel now.... I don’t think the Patriots cheated, they pushed the limits but didn’t cheat (that’s my personal assessment) and if Bills fans are going to point fingers at the Patriots, then we need to revisit our own history- Fred Smerlas, Conrad Dobler, and others also pushed the limits and then some.

Using names like “Tommy Boy” and “Belicheat” and “Cheatriots” do not whitewash history and just show contempt....the lingering name calling just seems amateurish to me, over the top and in my opinion diminishes any wrong doing. Even more awkward, some Bills fans (who have absolutely nothing to do with the game on the field) are angrier than the actual Bills players who may have been adversely affected by any so called cheating. Very strange. It’s just football ....I wonder if those individuals who get so upset about football/Patriots (using the name calling with genuine hate and contempt) actually get just as upset when for example their local school district (or any other form of local govt) is underperforming? Now that’s something worth being truly concerned about. Oh, and let me add more fuel to the fire ..... the Patriots weren’t cheating, they were just “FINDING A WAY”

The mental aspect - he was barely on field. It’s a people skill...Stidham is smart and talented ... I had hoped the Bills would get him and behold the Patriots saw what I did and they got him .... Hope I’m wrong, but based on the patriots recent actions (Fred Agency and Draft) seems they’re all in on Stidham and I’m sure they have good reasons.

A funny story, when I first arrived in Hawaii in 1994, I saw “Mahalo” printed on every trash can. As a result, I thought “Mahalo” meant “Trash” Morning “teef” .... hopefully you can bring some sanity back to this thread; it’s been trashed. I’m trying to at least bring some civility to it with some self depreciating humor.

Yes, it’s so difficult and upsetting for me .... I’m literally banging my head on the wall in my house here in Hawaii - that’s how upset I am about this - LOL ... and it continues ....
