Lots of decent tight ends in the draft this year, would rather grab one of them if we don’t get Gronk.

He still caught 107 actual passes on 169 targets. And I don't need to watch every steelers pass play to know that there are a number of trash Ben throws mixed in there.
Diontae Johnson is the worst drop artist in the league. The drops aren’t Ben’s fault, he could only throw easy 5 yard passes and Diontae was still dropping them. -
Here’s an RB that we could probably get late and he’s got some great receiving ability, Bills showing interest. -
So Seattle traded all their firsts for Jamal Adams, and had to trade Russell Wilson to get them back? Bold strategy...

Allen did amazing in his rookie year considering how raw he was and his supporting cast being embarrassing. Everyone made it seem like he was awful but this was mostly to support their pre-draft takes that he was a terrible pick. Pretty easy to see the talent he had in his rookie year, when you look at a guy like Tua though, he hasn't looked good at all. Will be interesting to see how long it takes Miami to move on from him.

Yeah I was listening to Joe Marino's. Locked on Bills Podcast on this topic. Joe had very similar stuff to say
* Guy is ranked 81st in Pressure among eligible DTs
* He has a mind set to stop the run. but not rush the passer...so he is not a 3-down lineman
* Opponents took advantage of his poor conditioning by going no-huddle
* His own college coach called him out for having non-playing weight mass.
* He is NO Vita Vae
I don't think this guy meets. Sean or Beane philosophy
I’ll be interested to hear what Joe Marino has to say about Jordan Davis after the impressive combine, he spent about 15 minutes talking about how Davis would be a terrible pick at 25. Maybe someone grabs him ahead of us now anyways. -

I mean, is there any way the Bills don't use one of their last four picks (in the 6th and 7th round) on a punter? I guess maybe if Araiza's gone before then, but what other team is going to draft him higher than that?
Bills did lose their last two picks in 2021, can’t seem to sneak any guys onto the practice squad anymore. So yeah might as well draft a punter. I expect Haack will be cut soon, do we go into the draft without a punter? Would be an interesting move.

Was hoping Rachaad White wouldn’t test too good but he had a really nice day, hoping the Bills draft this guy, they did meet with him too.- 3

I’m going to be pretty disappointed if Gronk doesn’t come to Buffalo. Seems like the perfect fit for him unless he wants to just retire.

What these insane 40 times mean is that I’m not going to stress if we don’t take a WR at 25, although I’ll still be rooting for it…there are going to be some really dynamic receivers available throughout the first three rounds…

I wouldn't be surprised if we wait on receiver at this point, similar to how they waited and drafted Gabriel Davis/Isaiah Hodgins in 2020. I also don't think it's Beane's style to be aggressive on drafting WR early. They definitely scouted the 2020 class hard in the first round but ended up trading the pick for Diggs because they didn't like the talent that year.

I had a feeling something was off with all these insane times.

4.5 is a solid time and I’m surprised he didn’t run faster considering how fast everyone else did, lots of crazy low times. Maybe we do have a shot at him at 25 but I don’t believe the Bills even met with him at the combine.
-
Is Daniel Jeremiah related to Skyy Moore or something? He’s the only person that he has tweeted about during the combine and during his gauntlet he just interrupted the other announcer to say ‘Moore looked phenomenal there’ even though he really didn’t look that great.
Edit - even in the QB drills, he interrupted again to point out Moore and didn’t mention any other receivers

What kind of freak is this guy? There were a few punts in there that were jaw dropping.
I like that he can kick field goals too, would be nice to have in a pinch. We played Carolina this year and their kicker got injured in warmup and they had nobody that could even attempt a field goal.
Haack is going to be cut, I’d be happy with guy in round 5 if we don’t sign anyone else in free agency.

Dotson would be the perfect replacement for Beasley. He’s faster, more dynamic, and would be a lot cheaper for 5 full years. Yes please…
I like Dotson but picking him at 25 seems like a reach, would rather trade down if he's the guy. Burks or Jameson Williams would be a dream at 25.

I’m no draft expert but after reading through everyone’s latest mocks, the two players I’m 100% sure will never be on the Bills roster are the RB from Iowa State and the punter from SD State. Both now have the official kiss of death on them. 😉
why draft Breece Hall in the 2nd when you can draft Rachaad White in the 4th? I love White if we can wait on him.
I also don't understand how Isaiah Spiller is ranked so high, I don't see it with him.

I’d love Berrios but I expect some team will overpay for him, would be great to have him in the return game.
-
I love Diggs but I’d be hesitant to extend him for too long. I feel like players are peaking at an earlier age and there’s not many receivers who are super productive after age 30 these days. He was also pretty banged up for all of 2021 and barely practiced all year so that’s concerning.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I hope the Bills go WR at #25.
Here are the positions I think it’s clear they will not draft in the 1st round: QB, RB, TE, OL, LB, S. That leaves DL, CB, and WR. I know a lot of folks are worried about the DL and pass rush but I think they bring Hughes back and we’ve got to give the young guys (Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham) a chance to show they are developing. I think they re-sign Harry and bring in a FA vet at DT. I also have a feeling they wind up re-signing Levi. They will draft at least one CB later on but I don’t see 1st round. Which brings me back to WR in another strong class. Beane has got to continue to give Josh weapons, so draft a guy with first round talent who doesn’t have to “star” immediately but can play ST and be the 4th WR in spread sets. That’s an instant upgrade to an already dangerous offense.
Which WR do you want to draft in round 1? I only really want Jameson Williams at 25 if we are going WR there, he’s a home run pick. I don’t see any other WR in that range worth drafting unless someone really falls to us, If we don’t get Williams then I’d rather wait to draft a WR in round 2 or 3. -
I knew he was The One in his rookie year, the game against Jax where he was getting swallowed up in the pocket and threw a dime to Robert Foster. That was insane.

I previously mentioned Boye Mafe who stood out at the Senior Bowl (the Bills frequently draft players from this game) and he has a connection to our new DL coach. This guy should be on our radar, he should test well at the combine and I expect he'll be moving up the draft boards after that.

People keep saying that, but we didn't crush too many good teams this year.
If it was Bills/Rams, it would have been a dogfight, imo. 50/50.
Agreed we didn’t crush many good teams but Allen was on absolute fire in the playoffs, only think stopping him was our own defence and coin tosses.- 1

Still can't believe we wasted a year of Josh Allen greatness. Just so sad seeing a terrible Super Bowl between the Rams/Bengals knowing full well that Allen would have crushed those teams.

Kumerow signed to 1 year deal

I’m sure we could find similar talent in the draft but I have heard Kumerow brings some leadership qualities to the team, McDermott calls him a glue guy. That kind of intangible counts for the Bills.
