  1. You know things aren't going well when the board starts constantly complaining about the refs. Personally, its the Bills we ahould be complaining about. We are being outcoached for sure. Allen looks like a rookie again rather than a MVP candidate.
  2. I agree if that was a Pitt defender all of us would be screaming for PI
  3. Wow. Buffalo rushed to get obe last play off. Why? After 3 quarters, I'm happy the Bills still have the lead. It doesn't feel comfortable or pleasant. In fact, it's pretty frustrating watching our offense. Josh is playing sub par but gutting it out. The Steeler D is very solid too. I'm nervous going intoo the 4th
  4. Why does it feel like the Bills are losing?
  5. Just win baby anyway anyhow. I'm not looking for style points for the first game of the season.
  6. Looks like this is going to be a very close game. Josh is not playing well but its early. I don't like the way the game feels.
  7. Let's get to the post season first. It's looking very good but nothing is a given in the NFL.
  8. Called yesterday and spoke to retention. Told them I was having trouble paying the high price of direct tv but my wife still wanted to keep the service. Asked them if they could somehow make us both satisfied. Explained that I like the NFL ticket and if they could lower my bill. I was put on hold and then told I wasn't eligible for any discounts. I already have $50 off promotion that's current. She told me I could get the NFL ticket Max for free. Boy was I happy! Good luck everyone.
  9. Does anyone have the best number to call for optimum results?
  10. I think the muscle mass is good. He was way too light in the ass. He could break a tackle or score a touchdown. My guess is next year he won't be on the Bill's roster. Singletary is nothing but an average run of the mill rb. Serviceable I suppose. He isn't elite and is easily replaceable.
  11. The Bills will live and die with Allen's arm and legs. The running game is an after thought. As evident last year, the Bills can make deep run with Allen and Diggs. A running game or lack of like last year won't get them a super bowl appearance.
  12. Even if he does there's a high probability he gets injured.
  13. Generally speaking this is true. I wanted Etienne if he slipped into the late 20s. I would have given up some to move up a few picks. He could have been a solid RB for years to come. A building block sort of speak. None of the Bills RBs fall into that category. It's a running back by committee in Bflo. Singletary can't find the end zone and is light in the ass, Moss is ok, and Brieda is a third down player who is injury prone. Etienne would have been an instant upgrade by a pretty considerable margin. Imho, the Bills will win games mostly because of Allen, Diggs, other Wrs, and offensive play calling. They are built to outscore teams. The offense had a ***** run game which ultimately caught up to the Bills. Sure some can be attributed to scheme and play calling. Without a serviceable run game and a threat to run the Bills chances of hoisting the Lombardi trophy diminish. The Bills defense is anything but super bowl caliber. They are mediocre at stopping the run, can't stop the tight end position, can't rush the passer without blitzing, and have some holes in the secondary. We are a bend but don't break defense that relies on turnovers. As a result, I get the focus on the defensive side of the ball. How many pass rushers are the Bills going to acquire? Oliver, Epanesa, Rousseau, Boogie, Obada, etc...At some point, I think it's fair to question their effectiveness to find a quality rusher. Can they stop the run? Can they stop a TE? Can they get to the QB? Can they get off the field on 3rd down? Lastly, I understand the praise for the Buc defense. They absolutely dominated the Chiefs. However, it wasn't only the D that won the game. Their offense was very very good. Brady was effective, productive, efficient, and moved the chains. The running game was solid and effective. They had the Chiefs D on their toes. Something the Buffalo offense couldn't do. Why? Because the Bills had no run game! Posed no threat to the Chiefs. I don't see the Bills offense being as effective without a serviceable running game. I'm even concerned that Allen may regress a little. I know this won't be a popular take. Not trying to troll or bash anyone or the Bills organization. Last year was so much fun!!! Haven't felt that way since the 90s. The Bills are still the team to beat in the AFC east. A playoff birth is likely. As a Bills fan, it's about winning the Super Bowl. With that said, I have to let my guard down and trust Beane's plan and strategy. Go Bills.
  14. Why pick up Brieda then? Neither Singletary nor Moss scare a defense. Singletary can't score tds and Moss lacks explosive speed. Brieda brings that to the table. Who knows about Etienne? If he dropped to the Bills at 30 my gut says they would have ran to the podium. Personally, he's the guy I wanted. Just ask yourself Etienne or Rousseau? Seems like a no brainer to me. If the Bills were so confident in Rousseau then why double up with another DE? Oliver who was hyped up to be the next Bruce Smith and Epanesa are on the roster. Something isn't adding up to me. Are they hoping they get one right?
  15. One of the best threads I've read here. Exceptional read.
  16. It's a fair opinion. However, I tend to curb my enthusiasm. Look no further than to Oliver and Epanesa. Both have clearly under performed Now, the hype is on this year's draftees. Realistically, they have a better chance being medicore than elite pass rushers. (Especially for the upcoming year.) Do these draftees instill confidence in Oliver or Epanesa who were picked under Beane's regime? By many experts this years draft was a weak pass rushing class. I'm not nearly as high on our DE draftees. I get and understand the strategy. Time will tell if it works out. Our defense looks to be miles away from a Super Bowl winning Tampa Bay defense. Tampa is elite at stopping the run (a Bills weakness) and they have elite linebackers. Additionally, the Chiefs offensive line seems much improved. Reid will have learned from the Tampa pounding. They will made adjustments. Using your same thought process teams will just look at KCs game plan to pound the Bills.
  17. Agree about winning in the trenches. The Bills needed to improve on both sides of the ball. This draft will mostly likely do that. The real question is by how much, how long, and what kind of positive impact? Personally, I'm not sure how much of an significant immediate impact any of these guys will have. This draft seems to be a longer term building process which I'm ok with. However, most of us want to make that super bowl appearance and hoist that Lombardi trophy. I'm not convinced this draft did that for this season. Any input is welcomed.
  18. Hope you are right. My gut tells me the two young d line draftees won't have that kind of positive impact. More talented Oliver and Epanesa could barely stiff the QB in their first year. I don't think the Bills got noticeable better in the short term. This draft was more about the Bills building the long term future of the team. Imho, Allen will have to be phenomenal again for the Bills to make a big run.
