It's a fair opinion. However, I tend to curb my enthusiasm. Look no further than to Oliver and Epanesa. Both have clearly under performed Now, the hype is on this year's draftees. Realistically, they have a better chance being medicore than elite pass rushers. (Especially for the upcoming year.) Do these draftees instill confidence in Oliver or Epanesa who were picked under Beane's regime? By many experts this years draft was a weak pass rushing class. I'm not nearly as high on our DE draftees. I get and understand the strategy. Time will tell if it works out. Our defense looks to be miles away from a Super Bowl winning Tampa Bay defense. Tampa is elite at stopping the run (a Bills weakness) and they have elite linebackers. Additionally, the Chiefs offensive line seems much improved. Reid will have learned from the Tampa pounding. They will made adjustments. Using your same thought process teams will just look at KCs game plan to pound the Bills.

Agree about winning in the trenches. The Bills needed to improve on both sides of the ball. This draft will mostly likely do that. The real question is by how much, how long, and what kind of positive impact? Personally, I'm not sure how much of an significant immediate impact any of these guys will have. This draft seems to be a longer term building process which I'm ok with. However, most of us want to make that super bowl appearance and hoist that Lombardi trophy. I'm not convinced this draft did that for this season. Any input is welcomed.

Hope you are right. My gut tells me the two young d line draftees won't have that kind of positive impact. More talented Oliver and Epanesa could barely stiff the QB in their first year. I don't think the Bills got noticeable better in the short term. This draft was more about the Bills building the long term future of the team. Imho, Allen will have to be phenomenal again for the Bills to make a big run.

Agree that Beane and Co. seemed calm and made picks they deemed neccessary to improve the Bills. Their track record on building a winner is proven. For me, it was a pretty bland under the radar draft. I get the strategy and the plan. Yet, can't help but to feel unenthusiasted. I will trust Beane and the rest of the Bills scouting team.

I hear you. I'm at the point where I can give Beane the benefit of the doubt. He has earned that with his build up in Carolina and Buffalo. The draft especially in the later rounds are educated crapshots. I'll let him roll the dice and work with my bankroll.

Going after Mahomes. Tampa won the super bowl by pressuring Mahomes all game long. Guess the Bills are trying to steal their playbook.

Time will tell. The QB had two elite WRs, offense line men, and a RB all picked in the 1st round of the draft. Go ahead and minimize his supporting staff. I think you and I had a good chance to succeed in Alabama. I think he will be serviceable but nothing screams elite or franchise to me. I can't wait for the Bills to beat down the Pats this year.

I like the pick. His ceiling is very high and it fits a big time need. I think it's worth a shot considering what was on the board.

Pats can have Jones. I don't think he's dynamic and has limited upside. He doesn't scare me one bit.

If Etienne is still there at the 30th pick it will be very interesting to see if the Bills pass on him. Part of me would like to see him on the Bills roster.

I don't like what the Bills have to give up to get Etienne. It's not a running back league anymore and that position is serverly devalued. We really need only to be serviceable at the position. I believe the O line and scheme had much to do with the Bills poor running attack. I think with Moss, Motor, Brieda, better blocking, and better run schemes the Bills running attack can be ok. This team will ride Allen and it's receivers. Imho, Etienne is not worth the price for the Bills.

Don't hate it but difficult to get excited about. The guy would just add to a list of Bill tight ends that ooze mediocracy.

C. Biscuit, I'm not sure why you completely disagree with me? I said a player's top priority is winning and money and you repeat it. I stated we have a dynamic looking QB and you talk about the importance of a QB? I'm confused. Area is further down the priority list but still played a small role.

Ultimately, winning and money are the two biggest factors for most players. I stand behind the Buffalo effect comment. The Bills appear to have a dynamic QB and a chance to make a big run to the super bowl. However, let's get realistic here. Buffalo is a small market team with a city that can't compare to the likes of the bigger market teams. It's fair to say when all things are even a player will select the bigger splasher market team vs Buffalo. It's no coincidence that Buffalo hasn't landed many big time big name players. Of course other variables are in play. I guess maybe you can throw T. Owens out there If you dare. For me, it felt good to say the Buffalo effect in a positive light...

Depends on how you interpret the data. Last year, Singletary pretty much did nothing. Granted its not all his fault. The Bills were very very pass orientated and the Oline generally didn't block well on run plays. His rookie year was fun to watch and he seemed more confident, hungry, and explosive. Last year, I felt little to excitement or confidence when he was on the field. I'd argue that Moss was the more effective runner. In concluding, his rookie year he was able have some long runs. Last year, was the complete opposite. Truly disappointing in almost all phases. Who knows which Singletary the Bills get this year? I'd add the Bills brass went out and drafted Moss for a reason. My eyeball test says Lindsay is a better fit for the Bills. Not even close in my mind. I'd do a swap in a heartbeat.

I agree. Lindsey is a much better player than Singletary. When have you seen Singletary take one to the house? The guy can't get into the end zone. Lindsay can break one and score.

It's the Buffalo effect. I think players want to come to Buffalo.

Barkley a good guy but very limited. Mitch is a much better back up.

His role here isn't to gain 1,000 yards receiving. He will make our WR core better with his superior route running, redzone catches, and 3rd down completions. He will open up the field for Diggs and Davis. He should be a great fit for Allen and the Bills offense. It's another solid piece that helps us win now. Not sure why you can't comprehend that. Not sure what your point is and what your trying to say. Was it a poor pick up? Do you think it makes us better?

So are WR3s unimportant to a football team? Can't they be an important piece to help teams win games? In a team game, strong components help teams win games. A good to great WR3 can really help out an offense. I think Sanders can be that guy for the Bills. I think it's shallow and micro to mitigate the importance of a WR3.

I agree. Only get Ertz if he's on the cheap. I can see a team overpaying for him but not Beanie and the Bills. Maybe he will take a discount to come to the Bills. That sounds weird saying it. Oh it felt so good though... I don't think so. It's obvious we lacked a pass rush. Epanesa and Oliver might step it up a notch. I think Bills in a win now mode will add another pass rusher via free agency or the draft.
