A quick look at the remaining schedule...
newcam2012 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Chiefs look like it's a bad match up for the Bills. We had our chances last year. One game was kind of close and the other we all know how that went. Don't the Bills have to try something different? Our defense looks to improved but we've played some soft offenses. Andy R. seems to know how to beat the Bills. Currently, KC isn't invincible. It's going to be very difficult to get the W in Arrowhead. -

1. You are missing the point with the times. The questioning if Allen is or will regress is a valid one; especially, after his first 2 games of the season. Time will tell and surely you would agree one good game at home vs a porous Wash D isn't the end all to the debate. 2. Your assumption of me for calling for Allen's head is ludicrous. I was critical of his play, his mechanics, footwork, and accuracy. Questioning if he has regressed or will. After 2 games, I don't think it was an absurd thought process. Obviously, you and others disagree. The counter arguments are valid. The only real way to know is by watching how the season plays out. 3. Knocking off the rust is not acceptable. Are you saying the coaching staff and the players were unprepared? Stop with the unfounded bs excuses. You are better than that. 4. I've reiterated on numerous occasions the Oline issues, poor play calling, opposing defenses, and lack of run game/threat contributed to Allen's mediocre at best play. Low and behold we are in agreement here. 5. Perhaps I overreacted. That remains to be seen. The game Allen played vs Wash was a thing of beauty. I enjoyed every minute of his excellent play. Your assumption that I "kicked the can" is not founded nor supported with facts. It's merely a cheap shot. Let's move on. I look forward to remaining civil and discussing various Bills topics. It's ok to disagree. Have a blessed day. Go Bills!!! -

Ok if you say so? I feel great for "having such a bad week." The Bills won and Allen played great. -

Good points. Let me give you my take. First off your comment about D. Jones is disingenuous. Conveniently, you forgot to mention he had 95 yards rushing and a TD. Secondly, I never called for Allen's head. That's just plain bull#### and a incorrect interpretation. I believe Allen's struggles go back 4 games not 2. I'm entitled to voice my concerns about Allen. I brought up legitimate issues about his play. For example, mechanics, footwork, confidence, vision, jitterness in the pocket, and inaccurate passes. Like it or not those concerns were and are legitimate. Also, talked about the small sample size of Allen's success. That's just undeniable. I never questioned his ceiling and raw talent. I talked about players who had great runs like Cam, Kap, Cousins, RG3, Geoff, and Wentz. An article posted here from I believe the NY Times stated Allen may be regressing. Thus, adding some legitimacy to my posts. They aren't just some random trolling or hatred. Red flags is a matter of perception. I can see how it can be perceived as too strong. Others here pointed out that they disagreed with my takes. I acknowledged their views as valid. Look at my response to Thurman. Your knock off the rust statement is at best marginal. Hope that clarifies my posts. Also, I think the true test of Allen and the offense will be on the road vs KC and Tenn. I look forward to others opinions and always welcome differing viewpoints without personal attacks. -

Nothing embarrassing at all. I stand behind everything I said. I own my opinions. I'd say 4 games. Last 2 playoff games and first 2 of this year. Last quality start before today was the Indy game. -

I haven't seen that here. I've seen some including myself as being critical of Bills players and their mediocre or poor performances. Somehow, that gets equated into being a troll, a hater and or annoying. Do really understand that but then again who cares. Happy about the W! -
Absolutely not. Not sure if this is even a legitimate or valid concern. Diggs is the man and a beast. Allen has a lot of weapons on offense. Today, it was a Sanders, Beasley, Knox, and Moss day. I'm sure Diggs isn't disappointed in the win.

He played great today. It was a thing of beauty. It's been too long since he's played that good. Looks like Allen and the offense have their mojo back. Let's hope they get on a roll. I expect the same vs the lowly Texans. The real test will be at KC and at Tenn. Two places that are very difficult to win at. Right now, let's just enjoy this win and Allen's great play. -
What was really nice to see waa his pocket presence. He was not jittery, had good vision, and make mostly great accurate throws. He made several subtle moves to avoid the rush and kept his eyes downfield. It was very similar to Allen of last year. Couldn't be more happier. Hope this is a start of a great Allen for the rest of the season.

It's ok. I'm more than ok with the Bills win.

How were they extreme? Never did I say Allen couldn't get back to playing well or like last year. I acknowledged it was only a 2-4 game stretch of Allen playing poorly. I stated other issues like the Oline and lack of run game contributed to Allen being mediocre at best. That Allen has a relative small sample size of being great and he may regress or is regressing. Sorry, I think many hear don't like hearing this and label it as extreme. Extreme to me us saying Allen sucks and the Bills won't win anything with him at the QB. Extreme is not acknowledging poor QB play, mechanics, accuracy, etc. Extreme is not acknowledging when a QB is playing well. -

A few quick thoughts and observations about the game: - Allen was fantastic in every way. In total command with great foot work, pocket awareness, accuracy, and vision. It was great to see! - Great to see how the Bills mixed in the run and short quick passes. I think being more balanced and the threat of running is a recipe to win. - Daboll called a near flawless game. - Bills have a great receiving core. Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders. Wow! - Knox has become an assest. When have the Bills had such a TE? Maybe back to Pete Metzalaars. -Defense looks really good. Milano is a beast and Edmunds not so much. - Please no more special teams turnovers. - Bass is really good just case in he goes under the radar. Lastly, it sure was fun to be a Bills fan today. -

I was so negative that I predicted a Bills victory. I was wrongbon the game script but my negative as$ still called out a Bills victory. Sorry. if you can't handle my "negative jets." Can you handle my "positive jets" for this week. -

Perhaps. I think you are one of those people who dislikes any criticism of Allen. I'm not afraid to give praise or criticism. My comments weren't out of left field. There was an article posted here that stated Allen may regress. Pointbisnt if he does or doesn't. The premise is real an open to debate. People shouldn't be so quick to inappropriately attacks others opinions on here. You seem to be on the borderline here. -

"Shook?" Don't think I ever was that. He played like a super star today. Imho, the negative criticism was deserved. May I remind you that D. Jones on the road shredded the Wash defense too. Not trying to take anything away from Allen. He deserves the positives for today's performance. I'm not about to apologize for having concerns about how Allen was playing. After 2 games, there was plenty of red flags. -

Since you asked...Allen played great today. He was in complete command and control. His vision, foot work, accuracy, mechanics, pocket awareness, and leadership was A+. It was a joy to watch. Does that suck too? -

Washington isn't that good either. Nevertheless, I am just gonna enjoy this win and great offensive performance. -
The D line was fine. It didn't generate sacks but the pressure was there. Plus, Hienke and that offense is based on quick drops and throws.
-
Gotta have Beasley in there somewhere. He was huge today.

Warren Moon on Josh Allen
newcam2012 replied to Chief Loves Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks. I saw the criticism of Edmunds. It's probably deserved but to be honest I didn't focus on him. The defense looked pretty good. I went into the game focusing on the offense and more specifically Allen. I am super pleased on how they played. Josh looked in complete control and command. Mechanics, vision, accuracy, and confidence were all spot on. Daboll's play calling and formations were really good too. -

Nice post. I really like how the Bills mixed in the run, used motion, better formations, quick screen like passes to Beasley, and moved Allen around. To me, it's a winning formula. The run threat prevent a teams from teeing off on Allen.
