  1. It's really hard to know if Beane errored in that situation. Was there a real possibility that same other team may have tried to "jump" the Bills and get Elam? We just don't know that answer. With that said, I don't think you can say with conviction and fact that Beane panicked. For me its risk vs reward. I'm fine with giving up the 4th rounder if Elam was by far the BPA on their board. Added bonus is it filled the Bills biggest need! Its really a win win. Lastly, there is no guarantee the Bill could get Hall even if with theor 4th rounder in hand. Sure makes it easy but still lots of unknowns and other variables in play. I suspect if Beane really wants Hall he will be aggressive to try to get him. Its still not out of the question.
  2. Both likely gone before 57. Beane will have to move up to get either.
  3. Tried to tell you there was no way the Bills would take Hall at 25. You just refused to listen to anyone who questioned your illogical thinking. That would have been a collasal reach. Hall isn't all that.
  4. We need quality not quantity. Im Ok giving up the 4th to secure the guy they wanted.
  5. Yep, now it's timely for Hall when.he drops.
  6. Solid pick he feels a.big need and should contribute right away. I kind of like Booth better but I have to trust Beane here.
  7. Agree. I can't really find many outside of here who are pounding the table for Hall in the first round. It would be a huge reach at 25. No way the Bills make that blunder. I can see them moving up in round two for him in the 40s. That makes more sense.
  8. Matt Parrino has his mock draft up. Has the Bills trading back and up in rounds 1 and 2. End result is Kyler Gordon pick 36 and Breece Hall pick 43 and Dylan Parham pick 67. I would really like that a lot.
  9. I'll stand by my statement. No way no how does Beane pick Hall at pick 25. Beane is just too smart to do such a foolish thing.
  10. Statistics are only as good as the input and information placed into the evaluation. Numbers can always be deceptive and not accurate based on the data that was imputed. Additionally, there are so many other viable in football that really can't be computed analytically. If it were that simple, teams would always hit home runs with their draft choices. Look at Brady as a great example. Heck, Josh Allen is a surprise by analytics too. No QB has improved his accuracy like him. Nice disclaimer. Small sample sizes have the biggest margin for error.
  11. Love: (1) Booth at 25 (2) Trade down and get RB Hall Expect: (1) BPA Kyle Gordon (2) RB Hall Settle: (1) Dotson (2) BPA OL
  12. I doubt it's Hall at 25. I think it's a smoke screen. If a corner they like is available that's the pick. If not, then it might be Oline or WR depending on whose available. Then Beane will move up in the second round to get Hall. Win win for the Bills. It's a Beane move no doubt.
  13. True but it's kind of fun trying to give it an educated guess. Makes the draft process more fun.
  14. I doubt people on here interpret what I say as fact. I've been wrong plenty of times here.
  15. While you are out it you should.ishould.include not picking Hall at 25. Talk about bad asset management. Hes going to be available past pick 35 maybe into the 50s.
  16. I agree with most of your take. However, thr Bills run game was good or better than good in the latter part of last year. Singletary was running well, pass catching, making big plays, and scoring touchdowns. Part of his success was the Oline and the changes and commitments they made to running the ball. I'm not sure why people here are so down on the Bills running game? Sure, moves can always be made to improve it. Additionally, I believe you let Allen make plays with his legs. You don't take that great asset off the table. It can be dialed back as needed. He has shown the ability to be durable. Nevertheless, I do cringe when he's running. I'd rather go the route of improving the Oline than select the "shiney new toy" named Hall. I don't feel like Hall is elite or will be elite. No way does he warrant being picked at 25.
  17. If Hall is there guy then they should absolutely trade back. Then can easily get him in the mid 30s and probably 40s plus...
  18. I don't think he's there at pick 25. Hope the Bills get assertive and trade up a little and get Booth. Him and Tre will be a nice duo for years to come. This is how you build champoinships.
  19. You sound like you think Hall is the next Adrian Peterson or OJ Simpson. There is a reason why Hall isn't even considered a 1st round pick. Sure he could be a nice pro runner but let's keep it in the right perspective. One scouting report states some concerns such as he runs high, not a one cut and go guy, limited zone scheme runner, and takes too long to get vertical. The guy is anything but a lock. The guy doesn't automatically equate to a home run hitter in the pros. I'd be happy trading down and getying him in the 40s because it's worth the risk. At 25, that's too rich when he almost certainly will be on the board at 35 plus.
  20. They keep two safeties deep and the short passes will be a plenty. Look for Crowder, Diggs, Knox, McKenzie, and or Davis to thrive. No way teams can cover all of the Bills weapons. Additionally, the Bills run game will be improved with the safties deep. Don't try to talk yourself in Hall as the pick. He doesn't grade out as elite. He's not worthy of the 25th pick. Look at the hype CEH got. Thus far, that pick is suspect and very questionable. We will have to see whose available at 25 (if the Bills stay put.) Question to you and others. Where are the possible Hall landing spots if he's not drafted by the Bills? I can't see him going before pick 37 to the Texans. Thats being generous. Why in Gods name would they reach at 25 for Hall? If Hall is the Bills guy, a trade back is the only viable option.
  21. Imagine the offense with a speed burner receiver. The RB game would be just that much better. I want that ball in Allen's arms slinging the ball not handing it off or checking down.
  22. I'm not saying the RB position isn't an important piece to an offense. However, Fournette played well because of Brady's elite passing threat and a great Oline. Let's face it Fournette is anything but elite. Without Brady he's probably average. Same goes for CEH. He hasn't really done much and many Chiefs fans wish they would have drafted a CB instead. The Rams have a very good running game under coach McVey. Look how good Gurley looked. I stand by my statement that the Bills offense doesn't need a Breece Hall. Give Allen a better Oline and a speed burner receiver. Motor and the running back by committee will do just fine. Motor looked very good when the Bills Oline changed their blocking scheme, committed to the run, and the Oline improved. I'm a big no to Hall at 25! Nice post. A reality check here.
  23. LT is a hall a famer. The comparasion is ridiculous.
  24. The game has vastly changed over the years. It's now clearly a passing league. The run game has become secondary and just needs to be good enough to be serviceable and keep the defense honest. Elite Qbs don't need elite rbs to win games and hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Just look at KC and Tampa for evidence. A superior Oline is vastly more important than RB in todays game. QB, Oline, Dline,....., somewhere near the bottom is RB. Look at Tennessee, Clev.,and New England for evidence that good RBs aren't enough. The Bills don't need Hall or any other running back to go to the Super Bowl. Last year, the RB position didn't hinder the Bills in the playoffs. In fact, one can argue the opposite. Let's stop this silly Hall pick. No way no how do the Bills pick Hall at 25.
