  1. You can't dismiss his size or his durability when you evaluate Tua. Of course he is talented. No one is saying he isn't. So was Doug Flute, Matt Barkley, Gino Smith, Tyrod Taylor, etc... The guy also doesn't throw the ball deep well. His arm is mediocre at best. Look at the Hill pass tonight. Look at the long pass to Waddle and the Balt games. Moon balls to wide open receivers. Tua is too one dimensional for the NFL. He poses no run threat whatsoever, can't throw the deep ball well, locks on to his WR and fails to go through progressions, etc. His one strength is a quick dropback and sling the ball out accurately. That just doesn't cut it in the NFL. He's a pure system QB and that system is very difficult to win with. Tua isntvelite or franchise. Not even close. He could be a version of Jimmy G.
  2. I thought Michaels and Herbstreit we're pretty bad. I hapoen to like both of them especially Herbstriet on college football. However, they were kissing Tua's behind like no other. Then they went on to kiss Bridewater's behind like he was Tom Brady. I was pretty disappointed with their effort tonight.
  3. My eye sees an average QB. Maybe a game manager and borderline starter. Add on that the guy can't stay healthy going back to his college days. Not sure why you are defending him? He made one throw against the Bills to a wide open Waddle with no pressure on him. You or I could have made that throw. In Balt, the guy played like shut for 3 quarters. Then Balt collapsed. He did make some very good throws at the very end. His body of work just isn't good. The one quarter of play vs the Ravens is an outlier. The Dolphins made a colossal mistakes reaching for The when Herbert was ripe for the picki What really irks me is the media is running with the back issue Tua suffered in Buffalo. Why doesn't someone call out the bull####! Say something like I saw the play and how Tua's reacted afterwards. That's a concussion and no one can convince otherwise. I'm not buying what is being said. There should be a league wide investigation. This is unacceptable.
  4. No but Buffalo gets to play them 2xs along with New England.
  5. I'd agree that Miami is better with Bridgewater than Tua.
  6. They did enough to win. Unlike the Bill's vs Miami.
  7. 14 to 18 isn't a glaring endorsement.
  8. By the end of the year the Bengals will be one of the AFC teams to beat. Burrows is elite as well as their receivers. The oline will improve.
  9. Huh. What do you see in Tua? Nothing special whatsoever.
  10. Before Tua got hurt he was nothing special. The kid just isn't elite. His arm is weak, he's small, and his nickname should be "glass." Say what you want but Brian Flores was right.
  11. I think he hurt his back tonight just like he did vs the Bills.
  12. That's fair. Lamar needs to continue to grow as a passer. I think he's much improved but still has lots of room to improve. He is good at throwing in the middle of the field. That's where he hits Andrews. He needs a lot of work throwing outside the numbers. His evolution is pretty fun to watch as a football fan. I truthfully thought he was a long shot to be a successful QB. Boy was i wrong. He's going to get a massive new contract and I'm rooting for him to do well. Just not this week.
  13. Glad you added the last paragraph. I was gonna lay into you. I know you can take it. Lol I do think Lamar is an elite QB. Not in the traditional sense. He's elite because of his legs and explosiveness. Also, he looks to be improved as a passer. He's the number one rated QB vs the blitz. So the game is likely slowing down for him. Also, he is rated first at throwing the ball downfield at 9.2 yards per pass. I think he has two viable receivers in Bateman and Duevernay. I wouldn't be surprised if either beats the banged up young Bills secondary for a few long plays.
  14. It's not that simple. Lamar is so difficult to stop with his duel threat. He also extends plays. Lamar loves to take shots down the field too.
  15. Are you really comparing passing attacks?
  16. Last team with the ball could be the likely winner. Bass or Tucker can hit a 60 harder to win it. Wow. Not good for the Bills passing attack. Agree with the Cook theme. I'm thinking he has a sneaky good game. Breaks one for a long gain and maybe a Td sprinkled in. I'm not see a convincing win by the Bill's. Just too many injuries to blow out a good Ravens team at their home.
  17. Agree the expectations are very high which can certainly lead to more pressure. I doubt Coach McD is concerned about any external noise or chatterings of displeasure or dismissal. I think he's "locked in" and focused on winning one game at a time. An experienced proven coach like himself can always find another coaching position. He blew it in 13 seconds for the Bills but other teams would welcome him with open arms. Let's hope, the Buffalo Bills can win it all. A lot of things have to go right and early injuries certainly cost the Bills the Miami game. A healthy Bills team would have trounced them.
  18. Depends on how things proceed. If the is continue to be bombarded by injuries I think the coaches have a bit of excuse. I support McDermott for the most part because he has built a culture, the players play hard for him, and he's still better than most coaches. The Bills could do a lot worse. I would definitely consider someone like Sean Payton and his offensive expertise. As for me, I was a huge McDermott supporter. However, that 13 disaster really changed my mind. No need to beat a dead horse there. Add in 0-7 in close games and Coach McD's has a serious ***** in his amour. At some point, Change might be needed if he can't lead the team over the hump. Time will tell...
  19. Get out of here with that.
  20. Miami isn't that good. They are formidable but no way are they number one or better than the Bills.
  21. You won the bet and that's all that matters. However, it was far from easy money. Anyone who had the Dolphins money line sweated it out to the last second. So stop embellishing.
  22. The line of 3.5 Bill's favorites in Baltimore seems generous. Not sure how Balt stops the Bills? I doubt the Bills stop themselves like they did in Miami. Allen and the Bills receivers should have plenty of opportunities to score. However, I'm not sure the Bills defense can contain Jackson. He seems to be playing at a different level. I don't agree with the premise that McDermott and Fraizer have the scheme to stop Jackson. I looked back and saw the latest 3 game sample . The Bills are 1-2 verse the Ravens. The last game was the horrendous weather playoff game. An outlier for sure. I would really like to see the Bills offense score quick and get a 2 score lead. That may take the Ravens out of their game plan. I'd much rather see Lamar try to beat the Bills with his arm rather than his legs. With that said, I can see another close nail biter game. I took the Ravens with 3.5 points.
  23. You are wildly inaccurate again! Do you realize who the Bills had playing on the offensive line in the second half? Back ups and back ups for the back ups and practice squad guys. Add on the weather conditions. The way you stop the Bills offense is not by blitzing the Bills. Allen will touch defenses that consistently blitz. Allen was very successful moving the ball. 500 yards of offense and 41 minutes of time of possession. Where Allen and the Bills failed was putting the ball in the end zone. Davis not holding the ball, missed field goal, poor execution at before halftime cost potential 3 points, 1st and goal at the 2 and no points, holding call and game ending expired clock, etc...The Dolphins didn't stop the Bills. The Bills stopped themselves. In the first 2 games a relatively healthy offense scored 70 plus points. I do agree that the Bills have to establish a more reliable running threat. This has been a resounding theme of the Bills for quite some time now. I'm sure Dorsey is aware of this and changes will be made. It remains to be seen how effective they will be.
  24. Have you seen the Bills secondary? Lamar isn't a great passer but he's more than adequate enough to do some damage via the pass. Also, the secondary is important to stop the run too. The Bills defense has a tough task in Balt. Lamar isn't Tua, Tannyhill, or an immobile Stafford. This will be a very good test.
  25. Disagree with this take. McDermott and coaches have to take a week to week focus. Each game presents different issues with different game plans. Each week is a building block to the make a playoff push and hopefully a Super Bowl win. The Bills coaching staff does try new things. Cook had a little bit of a run vs Miami. Some weeks Allen runs more, more run pass options are called, different defenses, stunts, blitzing or not, etc... Last year, I felt like the Bills were prepared for the playoffs. What makes you think they weren't? The Bills were on a nice roll and had high confidence. Most fans felt that the Bills had a great chance to beat the mighty Chiefs. To win it all. The Bills smashed the Pats and played a winning game vs KC. The Bills didn't lose to KC because they weren't prepared or the coaches didn't try something earlier in the season. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Early and middle of last season the Bills couldn't run the ball. They changed run schemes and personnel and boom they had a much better rushing attack. Your post is wildly inaccurate with respect.
