  1. Burrows is superior to Tua in every category. Stop with your foolish comparasions. The guy led his team to the Super Bowl despite a porous Oline. Tua has done nothing. Stop while you are ahead.
  2. Well I would think when you draft a QB 5th overall in an NFL draft you would want someone who has above average arm, can throw the long ball, and isn't a system QB. Kind of like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, etc.. Tua looks to be a colossal mistake by the Dolphins. I'm not mad about that.
  3. No one is talking about Allen here. So stop with that non sense excuse. Tua's strengths don't outweigh his weaknesses. The guy is too small, too fragile, poses no running threat to defenses, slow to go through his progressions, throws a mediocre at best long ball, lacks elite arm strength, and often has bad mechanics like throwing off his back foot. Strengths a quick accurate system QB. Shows good leadership. I mean look who he was throwing to. Ruggs, Juedy, and Waddle. Handing the ball off the Harris and offensive lineman who are now playing in the NFL. Tua was a product of a great Alabama team with elite Wrs, Rbs, and Offensive lineman. His supporting role was unbelievable.
  4. Quick recap of Pre Draft Tua Weaknesses: Serious hip injury could limit his career Ability to play in his rookie season is in question Durability Numerous lower leg injuries Lack of elite arm strength Less than ideal height Could improve anticipation Could improve footwork Could improve mechanics Left-handed will cause acclimation time for receivers Will need to improve his preparation habits
  5. You can't dismiss his size or his durability when you evaluate Tua. Of course he is talented. No one is saying he isn't. So was Doug Flute, Matt Barkley, Gino Smith, Tyrod Taylor, etc... The guy also doesn't throw the ball deep well. His arm is mediocre at best. Look at the Hill pass tonight. Look at the long pass to Waddle and the Balt games. Moon balls to wide open receivers. Tua is too one dimensional for the NFL. He poses no run threat whatsoever, can't throw the deep ball well, locks on to his WR and fails to go through progressions, etc. His one strength is a quick dropback and sling the ball out accurately. That just doesn't cut it in the NFL. He's a pure system QB and that system is very difficult to win with. Tua isntvelite or franchise. Not even close. He could be a version of Jimmy G.
  6. I thought Michaels and Herbstreit we're pretty bad. I hapoen to like both of them especially Herbstriet on college football. However, they were kissing Tua's behind like no other. Then they went on to kiss Bridewater's behind like he was Tom Brady. I was pretty disappointed with their effort tonight.
  7. My eye sees an average QB. Maybe a game manager and borderline starter. Add on that the guy can't stay healthy going back to his college days. Not sure why you are defending him? He made one throw against the Bills to a wide open Waddle with no pressure on him. You or I could have made that throw. In Balt, the guy played like shut for 3 quarters. Then Balt collapsed. He did make some very good throws at the very end. His body of work just isn't good. The one quarter of play vs the Ravens is an outlier. The Dolphins made a colossal mistakes reaching for The when Herbert was ripe for the picki What really irks me is the media is running with the back issue Tua suffered in Buffalo. Why doesn't someone call out the bull####! Say something like I saw the play and how Tua's reacted afterwards. That's a concussion and no one can convince otherwise. I'm not buying what is being said. There should be a league wide investigation. This is unacceptable.
  8. No but Buffalo gets to play them 2xs along with New England.
  9. I'd agree that Miami is better with Bridgewater than Tua.
  10. They did enough to win. Unlike the Bill's vs Miami.
  11. By the end of the year the Bengals will be one of the AFC teams to beat. Burrows is elite as well as their receivers. The oline will improve.
  12. Huh. What do you see in Tua? Nothing special whatsoever.
  13. Before Tua got hurt he was nothing special. The kid just isn't elite. His arm is weak, he's small, and his nickname should be "glass." Say what you want but Brian Flores was right.
  14. I think he hurt his back tonight just like he did vs the Bills.
  15. That's fair. Lamar needs to continue to grow as a passer. I think he's much improved but still has lots of room to improve. He is good at throwing in the middle of the field. That's where he hits Andrews. He needs a lot of work throwing outside the numbers. His evolution is pretty fun to watch as a football fan. I truthfully thought he was a long shot to be a successful QB. Boy was i wrong. He's going to get a massive new contract and I'm rooting for him to do well. Just not this week.
  16. Glad you added the last paragraph. I was gonna lay into you. I know you can take it. Lol I do think Lamar is an elite QB. Not in the traditional sense. He's elite because of his legs and explosiveness. Also, he looks to be improved as a passer. He's the number one rated QB vs the blitz. So the game is likely slowing down for him. Also, he is rated first at throwing the ball downfield at 9.2 yards per pass. I think he has two viable receivers in Bateman and Duevernay. I wouldn't be surprised if either beats the banged up young Bills secondary for a few long plays.
  17. It's not that simple. Lamar is so difficult to stop with his duel threat. He also extends plays. Lamar loves to take shots down the field too.
  18. Last team with the ball could be the likely winner. Bass or Tucker can hit a 60 harder to win it. Wow. Not good for the Bills passing attack. Agree with the Cook theme. I'm thinking he has a sneaky good game. Breaks one for a long gain and maybe a Td sprinkled in. I'm not see a convincing win by the Bill's. Just too many injuries to blow out a good Ravens team at their home.
  19. Agree the expectations are very high which can certainly lead to more pressure. I doubt Coach McD is concerned about any external noise or chatterings of displeasure or dismissal. I think he's "locked in" and focused on winning one game at a time. An experienced proven coach like himself can always find another coaching position. He blew it in 13 seconds for the Bills but other teams would welcome him with open arms. Let's hope, the Buffalo Bills can win it all. A lot of things have to go right and early injuries certainly cost the Bills the Miami game. A healthy Bills team would have trounced them.
  20. Depends on how things proceed. If the is continue to be bombarded by injuries I think the coaches have a bit of excuse. I support McDermott for the most part because he has built a culture, the players play hard for him, and he's still better than most coaches. The Bills could do a lot worse. I would definitely consider someone like Sean Payton and his offensive expertise. As for me, I was a huge McDermott supporter. However, that 13 disaster really changed my mind. No need to beat a dead horse there. Add in 0-7 in close games and Coach McD's has a serious ***** in his amour. At some point, Change might be needed if he can't lead the team over the hump. Time will tell...
  21. Miami isn't that good. They are formidable but no way are they number one or better than the Bills.
  22. You won the bet and that's all that matters. However, it was far from easy money. Anyone who had the Dolphins money line sweated it out to the last second. So stop embellishing.
