  1. Great post! The gap between the two teams is very very wide. Not even close in my opinion. I love Allen but I'll take a Jim Kelly a 100s over before I take Allen. He was a winner, a leader, and a Buffalo Bill to the heart. Even still proves that to this day. When the game was on the line Kelly would be magical. Allen not so much. He was great in KC hitting Knox for the game winner. Great in the KC playoff game with his comeback. The Jets game? He is special no doubt. No knock on Allen. We were fortunate to have Kelly and now Allen. The comparasions though aren't really fair to either one. The variables in play are just too wide and broad. You pointed out some of them. With that said, I can't get out of my head the waiting for the Allen update.
  2. I would say at this point the AFC is more wide open that I thought. The Bills and Chiefs are still probably one and two just because of the QBs they have. However, the gap seems to be closing with several other teams more than capable of beating them. Miami being in the forefront of the conversation followed by Cinci, Balt, and SD.
  3. Four straight Super Bowl appearances isn't a difference maker? Really?
  4. I hear what you are saying. I'm happy about being 6-2 with the number one seed. However, its starting to feel like the team isn't as good as I thought. Maybe an error on my part with believing the hype. It looks as though many teams are right there with the Bils. They can beat us on any given day. The Bills look beatable and are beatable. There are some unexpected disappointments this far. Mainly the poor receiving play which includes Knox who isn't being targeted. The run game and stopping the run has reared its ugly head. Allen is hurt hopefully not long term. Hyde is out for the season. Seeding is great but it doesn't mean you are the best team. See Tenn for a reference point. Right now, we don't look or feel like rhe best team. Hope by seasons end the Bills will be peaking.
  5. Kinda of like when Philip Rivers in Jan 2019 played with a torn ACL? This is Josh Allen we are talking about. The guy is beyond a beast. Adrenaline can mask pain for an instance like this. I'm not buying what you are selling. No disrespect intended. Not my style. I will wait nervously for upcoming news.
  6. I am expecting Allen to be out at least 3 games and perhaps out the rest of the season. At this point, I'd take the 3 games. Out for the regular season would be bad bad. Maybe he Will be ready playoff time if the Bills make it to the playoffs. The way this season has been going with injuries it's hard to be optimistic. Please football gods be on Allen's side.
  7. Too early to say how this year's draft picks will be. However let's take a look at 2020 picks. 2nd round pick 54 - Epenesa 3rd round pick 86 - Moss 4th round pick 128 - Davis 5th round pick 167 - Fromm 6th round pick 188 - Bass 6th round pick 207 - Hodgins 7th round pick 239 - Jackson Some good and bad in that class of drafts. The good is Dane Jackson, Bass, and Davis. Bills definelty missed with AJ, Moss, and Fromm. I believe the Bills are very good at finding quality players late in the draft. Look at Bedford this year. They are just plain awful at drafting the RB position.
  8. That 90s Kelly led team was elite on both sides of the ball with huge playmakers. One should never compare those teams with the current Bills team. It's not even close. You have several Hall of famers from that team. Four straight super Bowl appearances. Stop with the non sense. There was no panic because they were that good. They proved it year after year. This version of the Bills has proven they can't even get to an AFC Championship game. Maybe that's why there's concern.
  9. I get that and that's a fair post. However, I think it's safe to say we all would like to get things worked out with Allen as our QB. Imho, the worst thing that can happen to this team is to be without Allen for 3 or more games. To expect Keenam to play well and win games is very optimistic. Without Allen, teams can contrentrate on the few weapons the Bills have. I have little confidence they will find their run game. Keenam can't throw the ball downfield. He can't stretch a defense. Defenses will squat, sit, and jump the short passes. INTs will be there for the taking. I just don't see a serviceable offense with Keenam. Heck, the last 6 quarters with Allen were crap and now some expect Keenam, coaches, and scheme to step it up. Sure it's possible but what's the probability of successful sustained offense? The Bills will absolutely have to win their games on defense. They will have to force turnovers and come up big. Currently, they are having some clear issues stopping the run. Another Fraizer and McD common theme rears its ugly head. That defense is vulnerable to the run. Always has been and always will be. Add on teams are negating the Bills pass rush with short quick passes. The Jets did it very well. The Bills secondary without Hyde, Poyer, and Tre are not elite. Hyde's injury cannot be under estimated. Who knows when the Bills get back Tre being Tre. I think it will take some time before he hits his stride. Elam and Bedford are learning on the job. They look very promising but for now they are still rookies and will make mistakes. J Johnson doesn't belong on the field. He is just plain slow and not instinctive. With all those negatives the Bills still have a formidable defense. Rousseau and Von can create havoc. Espenesa and Boogie are dog poop. Hope both are off the team next year. Phillips and Settle need to plug the middle. Lastly, I want to address the Bills tackling. They were excellent tackling defenders in the first 4 or 5 games. The last few games have been very very bad. This team is 6-2 but it feels like a bad 6-2. Feels like a team on its heals struggling to find its identity on both sides of the ball. Allen under duress and making poor passing decisions, WR who aren't stepping it up besides someone named Diggs, a running game that disappears almost every game. Fast forward to today and teams in the division absolutely know they can beat the Bills. There is no doubt or psychological edge. There is no choking when its crunch time. Seemingly, the pressure is on the "Goliath" Bills team. Look to the ending of the Jets game. Allen and the Bills would absolutely get into field goal range 8 or 9 times out of 10. We know what hapoened. A colossal failure that seemingly brought back past bad Bills memories. You know you felt it every bit as I did. Lastly, I just hope and pray we aren't watching this season slowly fade away with another disappointing ending. 6-2 is great but the feeling that this team is unbeatable or elite has taken a big hit. Without Allen, this team is fools gold.
  10. Come on sir! It's Casey Keenam we are talking about. He has a big enough sample size to know he's a career back up with big limitations. Weak arm and suspect vision. Go ahead and believe he's going to be effective with this running game and Oline. I will choose to take off my blinders and see reality. I know it's wildly unpopular. The likelihood of Keenam being good or serviceable is fair less likely than vice versa.
  11. If the Bills win it won't be because of Keenan. It will be on the defense to play well and get turnovers. Also, the Bills run game will be forced into action.
  12. Without Allen this team is an average 500 team at best. Thus far, Keenan looks abysmal.
  13. Lol. Let's just say Marv would have got it done in 13 seconds.
  14. At this moment, I don't know. Things should be much clearer at the end of the year. My point really was Buffalo will be a highly sought after coaching position if available. Not who is available. Maybe Marv Levy comes back for a Super Bowl win.
  15. Come on! You have to give Daboll tons of credit.
  16. When you have a franchise QB like Allen trust me they will be lining up.
  17. I think high profile coaches would be salivating to come to Buffalo.
  18. I'm not suggesting that at all. I'm not overreacting to the Jet loss. Im not saying get rid of McD because the Bills lost to the Jets. I'm saying if the Bills fall woefully short this year is it time to consider coaching changes? Is Coach McD the new Marty S? Will a coaching change jump start the team? Are there a viable coaches out there to replace Fraizer, Dorsey, or McD?
  19. I get that and no doubt there is validity to your statement. I'm not so sure it's so outlandish. Sometimes changes result in progress. Let's wait and see how the team plays and the season plays out.
  20. I meant to use him as an example not necessarily as an absolute. However, he's very creative offensively and he's pretty aggressive on offense. He has experience and I think a mold like him is a welcome addition to Buffalo. I'm getting a little worn out by the McD/Fraizer show. Sure McD good and better than most coaches. I don't dispute that. Just kind of feels like he can't get us there...Just a personal feeling and I don't try to say that's fact based. Perhaps, the 13 second blunder still lingers. Perhaps it's the years of seeing and expecting the worst. Yesterday, certainly brings back the past. Almost PTSD like. If the Bills fail to make a deep playoff run (assuming they get there) I wonder how hot the McD seat gets? Thats fair
  21. He may not be an upgrade. It was only a suggestion. My point is it might be time to consider changing after this season. No necessarily. Especially if you have a franchise Qb like Allen. Look at what Daboll has done in NY.
