  1. That's fair. I see a coach who is being out coached on many levels. Previous years his halftime adjustments were outstanding. Now, it's quite the opposite. I see a coach who regularly loses close games. I see a coach who lost playoff games in Houston, KC, and KC. I saw QB Allen lead the Bills to victory from defeat only to have McD give it back to the opposition in a matter of seconds. I see a coach who has a lot to prove. One who says the right things, stays the course, sells the process, and has yet to deliver. Time will tell if he is able to lead this team to the Super Bowl. I have my doubts based on his history.
  2. This is a fair post. However, all mistakes aren't equal. For me, McD has to lead this team to a Super Bowl appearance. I'm not even saying winning the Super Bowl. Based on what I'm seeing, I am beginning to think he might not be able to deliver. Obviously, you disagree and I respect that. Seems like the Coach McD coaching style is getting a little old and one trick pony for me. I believe Allen would benefit from an offensive minded innovative coach. Not sure who that person is or if they exist. Surely, the Bills can do worse than McD.
  3. Flawed logic here. Reid's past doesn't indicate what McD future success will be. What's clear is Reid has gotten it done with a Lombardi Trophy. McD has only seen it hoisted from. His television set. His past mistakes don't necessarily translate into success or winning a Super Bowl. He can absolutely grow and make better decisions going forward. Thus far, I remain skeptical due to his past failures. One of which is almost unforgivable. Literally, he ripped the hearts out of the fans, Josh Allen, and Stephen Diggs. We deserved that AFC championship game in Bflo. No way no how do I think the Bills lose that game to Cinci. I digress here...Currently, Reid has the pedigree and experience that outclasses McD.
  4. Until Coach McD gets it done the 13 second blunder will be part of his legacy. He earned every bit of it. There is really only one thing that can asterisk that disaster.
  5. I am not complaining about the that. What's discouraging is the play of the Wrs. I honestly thought the group would be much better and more consistent. Diggs is a stud and has done everything. A true number 1 receiver. After that is goes downhill pretty fast. Gabe has been wildly inconsistent. Not what you want in a number 2 receiver. It's almost like it's bust or boom. McKenzie seems to be a quality back up WR. He doesn't appears to be reliable or starter material. Shakir shows flashes but his opportunity has been limited. That indicates the Bills staff feels like he's not ready to be a starter. Kumerrow is a very good special teamed. Crowder was a dart throw and has hurt again. History showed a long injury history. The Bills took a risk that didn't pay off. In hindsight, the WR core isn't nearly as strong as I thought. What's the history of Coach McD? Isn't that what really counts?
  6. For me, it's pretty hard to be confident about the Bills rush defense. Edmunds is out and then are facing perhaps the best rushing team in the NFL. They have a great Oline rushing attack and Chubb is arguably the best RB in the league. Knowing the Cleveland Browns are going to run isn't enough to stop them. Players have to execute, stay in their lanes, and tackle. The last 3 games haven't led us to believe the Bills can do this for 60 min. Hope the Bills can get up early and take some of their run game away. Will be difficult because the Browns will stay committed to the run. Look at the Vikes game. Down 17 after a huge Bills score. The game was on the verge of being a blowout. Boom 81 yards later the Vikes were right back in the game. People look at Jefferson and the plays he made. Indeed he was beyond awesome. However, that Cook run was the turning poubtvof the game and goes under the radar. With that said, I'm confident to say the Browns will gash the Bills run defense. They don't have the players to stop them. Tyler, Bitonio, and Conklin should push around the soft Bills interior. Brown's will rush for over 200 yards. Chubb 148 yards, Hunt 48 yards, and Brisett 36 yards. Hoping they don't convert the rushing yards inti many TDS.
  7. I think coach McD is a great defensive coordinator who gets the best out of secondary players. He's very good at building a culture, character, and team unity. No doubt he is an above average coach. Bills shouldn't be hasty to replace him. If replaced it has to be an elite coach and a winner. Who knows if that even exist. To this point, McD hasn't gotten it done. He failed horribly in KC. That 13 second disaster is hard to excuse. Might be the best chance the Bills had to win a Super Bowl. Time will tell. Until then, coach McD has a lot to prove come playoff time. For now, he is the coach holding Andy Reid's jock strap...Pretty clear the AFC goes through KC. PTSD is a real thing even in football.
  8. Nice post. Be careful some posters might call you out as a bafoon for acting like you know what's going on.
  9. Bottom line is Reid has gotten it done while coach McD can't close the door. Further success isn't predicated on past failures. Some people just can't get it done. Until you can you will always play second fiddle. The criticisms are absolutely warranted. Reid will be going to the hall of fame meanwhile McD is know as a very good coach who choked the game away in 13 seconds. I might add that Daboll was most likely the key to much of McD success. In a way, he was riding his coat tails. Look at the Giants success and look how Allen is struggling. Scott if you took an unbiased poll I'd be confident in say that 90% of NFL fans and experts would choose Reid/Mahomes over McD/ Allen. Frankly, it's a no brainer. There you go with the name calling again. I answered your question and I did acknowledge that he had some good games.
  10. I don't disagree with anything you said here. However, I don't think any of it is applicable to Tre. Why? The Bills are ultra conservative with players returning from injuries. It's safe to say they would be even more conservative with their best CB. The team has activated him, he's cleared to practice, and no reports Or signs of any set backs. Imho, it's a mental issue with Tre. Physically I thinks he's good to go. A mental hurdle isn't uncommon among athletes.
  11. Come on Join stop with the Klein BS. We fans are a little too smart for what you are selling. We remember him. He filled in when Milano was hurt. He did have a couple of very nice games as well as some not so good ones. He was and is a back up for a reason. He was released from the Bills for a reason. Bills even drafted a LB. He was waived by the lowly Bears. A little dose of reality might go a long way. Yet, there are "village idiots" here. Have you looked in the mirror lately? You like to sling the name calling but when called out you go off on tangets via McKenzie, Shakir, and "one man doesn't stop a running game." Thanks for that clarification. So helpful. Maybe try to be a little less demeaning to others posts.
  12. Are we talking about the AJ Klein who was waived by the elite Bear defense? If the truth hurts, people don't like the blunt truth, and blind homerism is being called out then I guess I'll gladly take the label.
  13. A healthy Bills team including Hyde and Tre would make the Bills very difficult to beat. Imho, prior to the season's start the Bills had to best roster in the NFL. Fast forward to now and the Bills roster is decimented with key injuries. The teams weaknesses are being exposed. Klein won't stop Chubb. Klein isn't anything special so stop trying to sell his playmaking ability here. Hines can't even see the field on offense yet he's going to be the Bills slot receiver now. John you are living in fantasy land.
  14. Have to disagree with you on the coaching comparassion. Reid is hands down a better coach than McD. Probably a hall of fame inductee. Very rarely will you see Reid get out coached. McD can be out coached on every given Sunday. Reid and Mahomes have the Super Bowl rings. McD and Allen can't even sniff an AFC Championship game. Sorry to say that combo Reid and Mahomes are clearly ahead of McD and Allen. The Bills have lost 2 playoff games in Arrowhead. The Bills regular season wins don't come close to making the score even. Good luck if you think Klien is going to contain Chubb. Only a village idiot would think he's going to be a difference maker this Sunday. Hines is not a slot teceiver. What are you smoking? If you are going to try to trash someone please do your homework. Stop embarrassing yourself.
  15. He's on my hot seat. Does that count? How making one that says stop clapping and make some halftime adjustments.
  16. Coaching makes a difference. Look at KC. They lose Hill and pick up a bunch on so so Wrs. They have no elite RBs and that offense still runs like a well oiled machine. Reid is a great coach and Mahomes is a proven winner whose done it for years now. The Bills were very fortunate to beat them in the regular season. Looks like the road is going through KC again. Not good for Buffalo that's even if they can get there.
  17. This won't be a popular viewpoint here. I happen to agree with your viewpoint. The team is decimented with injuries, both sides of the ball have issues, several players just haven't stepped up as anticipated, and the coaching staff is sub par. Very strange season that seemingly is drifting away as the season progresses. This team is vulnerable and not as good as advertised from many reasons. The MVP QB is playing like a rookie, the injuries are getting insurmountable, players haven't stepped up, and the coaching staff might still be shell shocked from the 13 second fiasco. Sure, I'm hoping for a turn around. The Bills get a beatable Browns and Lions teams the next two weeks. If they lose to either team it's another huge blow to the team. This 6-3 team feels like a 500 team to me. I feel like the Dolphins and KC are better teams than the Bills. Balt, Cinci, Tenn, and a healthy SD are right next to the Bills. Jets and others are further behind.
  18. This week we should find out if the Bills offense Can get back on track? They are playing a Cleveland defense that isn't very good. Hill and Waddle were kept in check for the most part. Looks like they made an effort to contain them. (I suspect they will do the same to Diggs.) As a result, the Dolphins were able to run the ball very effectively. Can The Bills do the same thing? Will they try to run consistently? Defensively, it goes without saying Cleveland will run the ball and run some more. Then they will take their shots and try to make a few key 3rd down passes. Lately, QBs even mediocre ones have been successful in 3rd and longs. Can The Bills contain that Cleveland awesome running attack? This defense with its injuries has serious limitations. I don't see a blowout here. I just think the Bills have too many injuries, are playing poorly, now out of their routine, lost home field advantage, Allen looks like he did when he first came into the league, and the coaching is sub par. This is a get right game but it sure doesn't look easy. Buffalo 24 Clev 23
  19. Toney was there for the taking for basically nothing. KC scooped him up and he paid dividends immediately.
  20. No doubt his vision right now is horrible. Right now, I'd rather see him run then pass. When he passes I am holding my breath. Reminds me of his rookie years no doubt.
  21. I hear you but Cooper can certainly burn the Bills. Peoples can get some big plays too. It's not like the Bills aren't missing Hyde, Poyer, and Tre. Don't kid yourself injuries have made this Bills defense beatable. Add in a banged up Edmunds and Milano not practicing. The injuries are taking its toll. The Packers pounded the Bills with the run, the Jets ran 8 straight times from their 6 yard line in a 4th quarter critical drive, and Jefferson destroyed the Bills while Cook rattled off an 81 yard TD. Not to mention how many 3rd and 4th and longs were converted by the opposition. Folks, lets see the defense for what it is. Due to injuries, this team is a shell of itself. No one should feel confident the Bills D can stop Chubb. Heck, Zack Wilson bottom tier QB made enough plays to win.
  22. Very well stated. I completely agree with you. It's clear McD get get this team over the hump. Pretty sure the Bills will be KCs bitc#es again. Maybe even the Dolphins who are a better team. You shouldn't be satisfied with a winning record that gets you into the playoffs and maybe one win. The goal is to win the Super Bowl. At the very least get there. Your logic is flawed.
  23. Agree even if Chubb runs for 200 yards and 3 TDs Fraizer will still have the Bills in the nickel defense.
  24. I agree. I think what you are saying is this team is too reliant on Allen. Its been an issue for awhile now. This year neaidea Diggs who can the Bills look to and count on? Davis and McKenzie have been very inconsistent. Singletary is often an afterthought especially in the second half. Cook os a rookie who seems to struggle and not ready. Shakir looks promising but he's a roomie learning. Knox is receiving limited targets in the Dorsey system. The oline line is average and bit elite. Basically, you are left with Allen and Diggs and praying someone else steps ups each game. As a result, Allen has to almost turn into Superman for the Bills offense to succeed. He is the best WV on the team but he's also the best RB. Subsequently, Allen has to do it all and that's a tough ask. So what do the Bills do? I think they have to commit more to the running game and quick passes. Allen needs to take the checkdowns and then strike deep when it's there. That was the formula early in the seaspn vs the Rams and Titans. I think it can be successful again.
  25. Scott, defensively the big difference maker with this team is injuries. This defense is clearly not near the same team without Poyer and Hyde. Also, Elam and Bedford are learning on the fly. Offensively, the team is inconsistent in running the ball and Allen is playing back yard football which is leading to huge mistakes. One big difference maker is Dorsey. He doesn't seem to wait to or is capable of reigning in Allen. Daboll was able to win that well. Lastly, coaching isn't nearly as effective. Dorsey was addressed above. He never seems fully committed to the run. Fraizer just will not get out of his nickel defense despite getting gashed by the run. Coach MCD just seems to be a cheerleader now. The halftime adjustments have been terrible. Do say been there been adjustments? Dies this add up to a midseason slump or the season slipping away? Either way, my confidence in the team isn't the same. The Super Bowl appearance is seemingly further away due to the above.
