  1. Gunner Bill is one of my favorite posters here. He is really fair with his assessments and breakdowns. Of course, it's fair not to always agree with his takes. To be fair, Gunner Bill is on the record saying the defense is a concern. Furthermore, in a post to me he stated the Bills offense is likely going to have the win games vs Cinci and KC. Believe it or not, I don't think there's much distance in their viewpoints. Honestly, I don't know how you can watch a football game like that.
  2. Do you think that Tre's int was pretty much a 50 50 pass? BINGO!
  3. Those stats are still better than Beasley and Brown stats. Also, you can't say with any certainty that they wouldn't have better stats. I'm not overeating them at all. I think most would agree TY is better than Brown and Toney is better than Beasley. That's all I was trying to say.
  4. I don't agree with this post at all. In fact, I think it's pretty disingenuous. I don't care what the stats say. Jones played well, looked good, and was exploiting the Bills secondary. Don't forget to look at the stats of the Pats offense. They are arguably one of the worst offenses in the league. Not a small point to neglect.
  5. I think we need to look at the QBs the Bills have faced. Since week 8; Rodgers, Zach Wilson, Kousins, Brisett, Geoff, Jones, White, Tua, and Fields. None of those QBs are elite passers who scare a defense. No way this defense stops Burrows or Mahomes. They are on a different planet just like Allen is. No way their defenses stop Allen.
  6. I agree. I will add on to your post. Burrow and the Bengals offense was shredding, gashing, and ripping apart the Bills secondary at will. Granted it was a 5 minute sample. Nevertheless, it has to raise some eyebrows.
  7. I think this is fools gold here. We said this previously when the Bills had the #1 ranked defense. We all knew the defense was vastly overrated then and couldn't be trusted. They failed to make the stops when they had to. Fast forward to now. No way do I trust this defense in the playoffs vs KC, Cinci, and LA. They are just too young, injuried, inconsistent, and predictable. I hope I'm wrong but no way would I be confident that this defense in its current can make a big stop to win the game. Don't get caught up in the stats. They don't paint an accurate picture especially when it comes to playing quality playoff offenses.
  8. The Bengals have a superior pass catching group when comparing it to the Bills. That's a major concern because Burrow will find the open receiver and spread it around. In the 5 min they played he found Hurst and a wide open Boyd for a TD. Their weapons pose a serious problem for the Bills D. Imho, the Bills D won't be able to stop the Bengals offense. The Bills will have to win in a shootout.
  9. D Coordinator Lou Anarumo is very good at mixing up his defenses. He doesn't have the best talent but he's schemes, mixing it up, and game time adjustments are very good. Definelty a cat and mouse game when you go up against his defense.
  10. The more I think about it the more I dislike the moves the Bills made at WR. Hodges looks to be a legit WR that could have contributed to the offense. TY Hilton looks to be an upgrade over Brown. Beasley is washed had has little to nothing in the tank. Toney is fast, dynamic and probably better than McKenzie. Easy to criticize after the fact though. Gabe in the slot is likely a terrible idea. He is very poor at winning contested catches, drops too many balls, and isn't a precise route runner.
  11. I hear you. Gabe and McKenzie certainly have disappointed this year. However, is Sunday the time to do something different like that? Seems pretty risky to me.
  12. How did you come to that conclusion based on what he said? I didn't hear that at all.
  13. I question the source Ian R talked to. I doubt this is authentic. No one moves up the ranks that fast except Jeff Saturday.
  14. I get that but what alternatives does he have. The Bills CBs can't play man. The seem ineffective or unwilling to chuck WRs at the line of scrimmage. The Bills secondary is not really playing well and frankly not very good. Jones burned them when they blitzed and the Pats have no explosive WRs. Pick you poison I guess. Maybe a good Xs and Os person can elaborate more. I know Gunner Bill posted the schemes of the Chargers and Niners.
  15. I agree. I just want to win and them being out gives the Bills a much better chance to win. I'm not looking for any style points. Just win! Also, the Bills are without Von and Hyde. So I don't wanna hear anything about injuries.
  16. I think that's their best chance to win. Pound the rock and make a couple of big offensive plays. I don't see them putting the ball in Tua's hand and saying go ahead kid win it for is. Tua is more of a supporting cast QB. Don't blow it and make a few great plays. Let Hill and Waddle get the YAC.
  17. They can do some damage too. I mean which Bills defense shows up for this game? I'm interested to see how the Bills Oline holds up to the Dolphins D. The Dolphins love to blitz and bring pressure. They have bern relatively successful getting Josh off his game. Of course, Josh and the Oline are much healthier now. Big match up to watch. Wilkins, Phillips, Chubbs, and Ingrahm are formidable.
  18. My gut tells me Tua and Mosert both play. I don't think McDaniels cares about anything but winning. Their doctors have already proved that winning is their top priority. If it's solely a Dolphins decision I think they play. Only saving grace is now the spotlight and heat is more on the Dolphins due to their past criminal behavior.
  19. I like your optimism. I am not so confident that they will beat the Bengals if they meet. That's a possible discussion for another time.
  20. Of course they do. The Dolphins are a solid team with explosive weapons and speed. A few weeks ago when both teams played the Dolphins clearly controlled both sides of the ball. I rewatched the game and can say the Bills were fortunate to win the game. It literally came down to a play or two that was the difference. Both teams know each other well and truthfully there isn't a lot of separation between them. I do think the Bills are slightly better because of Allen. They should win the game at home. Counting this as a win is too premature.
  21. I stand corrected. However, the Bills D was pretty ineffective a few weeks ago vs the Dolphins. The Dolphins clearly controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Running almost at will without their best RB. The Bills D hasn't been exactly stellar since then. They are down Hamlin who I believe is the Bills leading tackler. Imho, this D is VERY beatable as evidenced by a pretty effective poor QB Jones yesterday. The Pats are arguably one of the worst offenses in the league. Truthfully, their offense didn't lose them the game. Their special teams play did. We saw a small sample of this D on Monday night vs the Bengals. A legit offense with a bona fide QB. The Bills were getting shredded at will. I'm not confident the current state of the Bills can stop them. Imho, the Bills will have to win with Allen leading the way. Josh is more than capable of doing it.
