  1. Correction. I'm a disappointed Bills fan. Pretty sure I'm not the only one.
  2. Keep telling yourself lies as the Bills consistently fizzle out early in the playoffs. Just the facts for six years straight with Allen. The goalposts have moved once you land you land your franchise QB. Get team
  3. They can't beat them in the playoffs. Go ahead and brag about a early regular season.
  4. Mahomes would have easily put up 40 points vs the Bills Swiss cheese defense. Burrow could have put up 40 easily.
  5. No way are the Bills in the same league at these two teams. I couldn't disagree more. Both teams have top notch offensive lines, dynamic pass catches, and a better scheme on both sides of the ball by miles. The Bills team us second class to both teams.
  6. No that's not a correct assessment of what I said John. I'd be foolish to say the Bills are a bad team. Of course they are a very good team. Allen alone with a couple of key pieces make them very good. My issue is they haven't been good enough. In a six year time frame the team has had moderate playoff success. That shouldn't be acceptable. The organization has failed to surround Allen with enough weapons and protection. The highly rated defense looks anything but that when the playoffs come around. Lots of this falls on the coaches and the organization. I think it's reasonable to think that fans have and had high expectations for the Bills. Over the last few years, thinking Super Bowl has been more than realistic. Listen to Allen and Diggs and they've overtly shared this sentiment. After huge playoff losses to KC and Cinci you could see the disappointment on the players faces. In fact, many talked about how disappointed they were. Most Bills fans were equally disappointed. I think most fans had higher expectations for this team. I think it's safe to say the team didn't meet its goal nor it's expectations. As a Bills fan are you satisfied with the last three years of playoff results? I'm not! Hope that clarifies my thinking and opinion.
  7. Will the Bills get over the hump? Six years of Allen and fizzling out in playoff appearances seems like the norm. This year's appears to be an uphill battle with roster holes on the O and D line, WR, and safety positions. Limited cap space and decisions on free agents like Edmunds and Poyer. Questionable O and D coordinators and an apparent difficult 2023 schedule. Hopefully, things fall in place. Lots of work to be done this off season.
  8. I agree. I'd ask why doesn't Allen have a better line and top weapons?
  9. Depends on how you see things. The Bills have primarily disappointed it's fan base with early playoff exits. Sure they have won playoff games. The bar is clearly different now. Expectations are higher and should be high. I'd argue that the Bills organization has failed to reach it potential. Especially, the last two years of the playoffs. Winning one playoff game really wasn't the goal. The team really missed a golden opportunity to advance and possible win the Super Bowl. They haven't done enough! Your illustration falls far too short in my eyes. They have a franchise QB who is without a doubt one of the best QBs in the league. They have failed to properly build solid pieces around him. Relying too much on him. It's really been a common theme for a few years. Thus, you get the Allen Superman conversations. This year's playoffs more than ever showed the vulnerability of the Bills roster. The old wait til next year theme rears its ugly head again. Trust the GM and coach to make that Super Bowl. Did you watch the Cinci game? Did you see the 13 second disaster? Trust your eyes not your heart. Do you watch football and follow other teams? I'd argue with confidence that KC and Cinci are much better teams than Buffalo. I'd argue that teams like the Jets, Miami, Chargers, and Jags have closed the gap on the Bills. The Bills are likely no longer a dominate team. They are not feared or looked at as unbeatable. Yes they are good and still a top 10 team. Do they look like a Super Bowl team? Doesn't mean the Bills can't and won't make a Super Bowl run. Anything can happen. However, my confidence is dwindling not increasing since its 6 years of Allen and counting. The excuses never end. Trust and wait. I'm tired of waiting and trusting. Every year for decades that hasn't worked out. Fast forward to Beane's press confetence. That was hardly a boost in confidence. Almost seemed like he was giving excuses and telling the fans his hands are severely tied. Not good! The Bills have a myriad of issues to contend with. Cap issues, coaching deficiencies, and holes to fill on the roster. Not sure how this emboldens a fan to have confidence?
  10. Have to agree with you. Great coach to rebuild a team and change a losing culture. Not good at winning the big games and advancing in the playoffs. Six years of moderate to below average success. At some point, the Bills need to reset and make some coaching changes. This regime just falls short and flat in the playoffs. That 13 seconds disaster and the horrible Cinci game is an example of why change is needed I'm more than ready to move on from Fraizer. Would very much like an upgrade from an unqualified and underwhelming Dorsey. I think Coach McD and his good character theme is getting tiresome. He seems to lack that killer instinct mentality and toughness to propel this team to another level. I would prefer an aggressive offensive minded coach. I think McD limits Allen's ceiling. Agree he's not terrible but just not good enough. I suspect after next year his seat will be getting warmer. Sometimes change is needed. For whatever reason, the Bills organization thinks its appropriate to run it back with the same coaching staff. That is quite perplexing for me as the most current playoff blunders were a result of terrible coaching, poor game plans, and non existent game time adjustments.
  11. Shakir has to prove himself. I know it's fun to compare but the comparasions to Reed is way over the top. The little glimpse we saw from Shakir looks promising. However, I have to ask myself why didn't he see the field more? In fact, the team went out and got a washed up Beasley from the streets. Not exactly a glowing move of confidence for Shakir. Either the coaching staff is extremely incompetent or Shakir just isn't that good right now. Those really are the only two legit reasons why he didn't see the field. The talk of him being a number 2 WR next year is pretty scary. The Bills found out Gabe isn't that guy. The WR core really hurt Allen's ability to shine. This team better go out and find a legit #2 WR. They can't afford to hope and wish a player turns into a #2. We saw how that worked out last year.
  12. Thanks for sharing. Very nice post. Glad you are doing better.
  13. Let's run it back and see what happens.
  14. Pretty weak response to be honest. Let me tackle what you said. Of course life doesn't come with guarantees. Never once did I imply it did. In fact, you were the one who implied the Bills will win one at some point. I was just pointing out that this is flawed logic. So your life with no guarantees was a weak response. Secondly, I never once said I need a Bills Super Bowl win in order to go to my grave happy. Nor did I imply others need that. You totally took what I said out of context. Come on man you gotta be better than that. Point is people have died before the Bills have won a Super Bowl. That's how long we fans have been waiting. Doesn't mean they were happy when they passed. Stop with your non sense. Past results do matter. What are you talking about? You just can't turn a blind eye to the past. That's just plain ignorance. Past results can be used to improve and evaluate your team. They are indicators of success and failures. Let's get real! Do the Bills have a new organization? It's been six years with the same basic people in place. A better chance a new level of professionalism? Are you comparing this Bills organization with past Bills owners and management? Is that allowed since the past doesn't matter? I didn't refer to any fan base but Buffalo. Your response is to talk about other fan bases. Very strange. I stand by the statement that the Bills fan base deserves more. The passion, loyalty, dedication, and love for their team and players is second to none. The Bills have repeatedly come up short of that coveted Lombardi Trophy. So many have been waiting so long to see Bills players hoist that trophy. Haven't you? Have a great day. Go Bills.
  15. Aggie, I like your positive perspective. However, it does have short comings. There is no guarantee that "one year it will be our turn." We've been saying that for decades. Many fans have passed with unfulfilled Bills achievements. Truthfully, Bills fans deserve more.
  16. Fantastic synopsis here. I can totally relate to what you are saying.
  17. Very well said. This is so spot on and echoes everything I wanted to say. Thanks for such a sharp post and representing a more than fair opinion. 👍👍👍
  18. There are a variety of opinions on here. From very optimistic to very pessimistic. Personally, I think that's what makes this forum fantastic. I want to see a broad range of opinions, suggestions, and ideas. Professional banter back and forth is great. It's more than fair and acceptable to disagree to disagree so long as it doesn't get personal and unprofessional. I understand this is a Bills fans forum. Most including myself find it more pleasurable to read positive optimistic posts. However, criticism shouldn't be discouraged or looked at in a negative way. Unfortunately, many on here feel that way. Lastly, I think it's safe to say we fans want a Super Bowl appearance and a Super Bowl win. The organization has come up short. They have a coveted franchise QB for 6 years and counting. Many thought by now they would have advanced further. There are obvious reasons for not achieving their goal. Of course fans especially knowledgeable and loyal fans are going to display and give their criticisms. That's what fans do! In the end, the fans always come back and cheer on their team. That's what we do.
  19. How can it be fixed? You have confidence that Dorsey will make the right calls, have a nice game plan, and make game time adjustments? Will the Oline be better? Will the running backs play well? Will they establish a run game that makes the pass game better? Will they throw to the backs? Huge question marks at WR. Who steps up? Is it all on Allen again to produce? What kind of support does he get? Lots of questions on offense. Defense has equally a lot of question marks too. This off season looks to be crucial. Is it likely a start of a regression or a reset to move forward and progress further? Hard for me to have a lot of trust in a Dorsey led O and a Fraizer led D. Just shaking my head in disbelief.
  20. I just feel frustrated with the Bills organization. I think you have to look at KC for a measuring stick. They traded away one off the best WRs in the league and have young defense. Yet, they haven't missed a beat. Buffalo meanwhile continues to fizzle out. The major difference is coaching and management not player talent.
  21. Really? Did you see the Bills play the Dolphins 3xs this year? Every game basically came down to the closing moments. More specifically, Miami fielded a 3rd string QB in playoff game in Bflo. Miami fans feel the refs made some very poor calls against them. They also talked about probably winning that game with a healthy Tua. Who knows? Their viewpoint certainly isn't outlandish. The gap between the two teams is very very narrow. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Miami wins the division. A lot depends on Tua's health. The Jets are another team that's absolutely capable of challenging for the division. They played the Bills well and had toe to toe battles. A healthy Brice Hall makes that offense more dynamic. He looks to be a game changer which the Bills lack. If the Jets get a quality QB look out. Sure the Bills will be the favorite to win the division. Allen is the deciding factor and their regular season record is good. A healthy Bills team is and should be the front-runner for the division. Nevertheless, the AFC East will be a dog fight. Certainly, no lock to win the division. Sorry, I don't see that as a stupid comment. Guessing Miami and Jet fans would agree. I'm guessing they will like their chances to unseat the Bills when the season starts. Why wouldn't they? The Bills are seemingly vulnerable while those teams are up and coming. It's no longer David vs Goliath.
  22. Very true. I think they have to be better by more than a "bit." The Miami and certainly the Cinci game indicates they need to be a lot better. I love Allen but I can say this season I had a lot less confidence in him getting the job done and finishing games. He seemed mostly human this season instead of Superman. The book is out on how to slow down, contain, and frustrate Allen.
  23. I never felt like the team was elite even during the winning streak. That really had to be one of the least impressive winning streaks I've seen. Beating mostly inferior teams kind of ugly. Never seemed like the offense and defense had a complete game together.
  24. Phil Sims just started that the Bills play calling inhibited Allen. Saying the play calling had no sychronicity. It was like no play set up another play. One by one individual play calls. Allen certainly can play better!
