  1. It counts for something. It means we were all wrong. The reasons for our wrongs can be debated. Whats Not debatable is Beame and McD haven't gotten this team over the hump. Three straight disappointing playoff losses. That counts for something too. Depends on your outlook and perspective. Are we happy with playoffs appearances with disappointing results? Surely its better than the past. As for me, the Bills have an elite QB and I want that Lombard Trophy in Buffalo. Thats the goal and of course its difficult. Nothing short of this will be a success as long as a healthy Josh is in play.
  2. I think McKenzie is a goner. Last year he proved he's not a starting caliber WR. At least not with the Bills and Dorsey. He underperformed at most levels. He's nothing more than a gadget player. Thus, he's very replaceable. I look for Shakir to get more snaps this year. I would like the Bills to draft WR Addison or WR Flowers. I don't think either will be there at 27.
  3. Welker, Jackson, and Smith are much bigger than him despite being small by NFL standards. Sproles was RB, a special breed, and an exception. I don't know who Holiday is. This guy has been in the league for four years. That's plenty of time to see if he's special and able to stay on the field. I think it's a stretch to think he will stay healthy and be solid a WR3. Perhaps an effective gadget player and special teams guy? This looks to be a high risk high reward pick up. Time will tell how it plays out.
  4. He just has to contribute, open up the field for others, make a big play here and there. The Bills need speed and big play guys who can stretch the field. The pick up makes sense. The Bills are not expecting him to be the next Tyreke. My reservation is that he's had 4 years to prove himself with limited success. Hoping the for in Buffalo is better. That could lead to more success.
  5. He's also 5'6" 170 which means he's very small by NFL standards. Can you name a successful modern day WR with that size? Point being the success rate by metrics alone is very slim. We have a 4 year NFL data record that has more questions than answers. Do you have confidence that Dorsey can use his skills acvordingly? Look at how they used Hines and literally refused to throw the ball to Cook. Not to mention McKenzie's skill set was under utilized. All this doesn't mean it's a bad move. The money is pretty cheap now that the details are out. He does fill a speed need. I get the move but I remain skeptical.
  6. It goes both ways here. Many are acting like he's the new Tyreke Hill while others think he's just a gadget guy who will not perform well. Truthfully, no one really knows how he will pan out. Time will tell.
  7. A voice of reason here. Thanks. 100% logical and spot on here. People said the same about Tevon Austin, Beasley, and Smoke. It's just optimism without really taking into account the numbers and facts. Let's be real here. It's unlikely this guy makes a difference. Of course, I hope he does but past history counts.
  8. I get that but he's really unproven and still injury prone hammy or not. Seems like a pretty big reach to me. I'd rather allocate that money to a more proven commodity like a Lockett,Dhop, or draft Zay Flowers.
  9. Seems like a big reach for speed. I don't get the pick up when the Bills have Hines as their special team returner. This guy can't stay healthy either at 5'6" 170. What a head scratcher pick and not exactly cheap either.
  10. Pretty pricey pick up for what looks to be a gadet WR. He adds speed but this pick up seems like a reach. I'll be in wait and see mode. Amazes me how others here think he's a godsend. As you've stated based on his past peformance it hard to get excited. Likely another Beane miss than a hit?
  11. Not a big Juedy fan. He seemingly has underperformed thus far. Would he be a good fit with the Bills?
  12. Everyone should read this post and reread it several times. 100% spot on post.
  13. I'm not a Juedy fan. Henry would really be interesting but it's a pass for me. I'd be very interested in Dhop. The guy is one of the top WRs in the game. Him and Diggs with Allen would rival the Dolphins trio.
  14. In a perfect world I would have liked to keep Edmunds. His departure isn't unexpected. Agree it's a hole the Bills need to address. Hopefully, Edmunds replacement play well. There does seem to be good news with the loss of Edmunds. The Bills and Beane are focusing more on offensive needs. Something the team and Allen need despite great offensive statistics.
  15. I suspect Edmunds will be average to good in Chicago. Edmunds gets a lot of crap on the board. Some is a little overboard indeed. He did a lot of subtle things on defense. In the end, I don't think he's worthy of an 18 million dollar contract for 5 years. That's overpaying by a lot imho. I'm happy he was able to get paid because he was a good team player. Now, the Bills have a pretty big hole to fill. Interesting to see their plans going forward.
  16. I agree. He's not worth 18 mil. a year. However, the Bills do have a major hole to fill now.
  17. Really happy the Bills were able to keep him. It solidifies the return game. Hopefully, he can contribute more on the offense. Good job by Beane. It's often the less than splashy moves that go a long way.
  18. Bills offense was 2nd in the league in scoring 28 points per game. 2nd in total offensive yards in the league at 374. Care to respond on that?
  19. I get that but there are also flaws in your argument. Do you know the offensive stats for the Bills last year? They were ranked amoung the best in the league in many categories. Just look it up. How far off is the offense? Stats indicate the offense will be fine. Allen is elite and makes players better. He played with an injuried elbow for weeks. Cook and Shakir should be better. A heathly Brown can improve. A year under Dorsey's belt can only help. Sure it's optimistic but possible. A few nice pieces can propel the Bills offense to thrive more. So it looks like you are chosing to look at defensive stats yet minimize the the offensive stats.
  20. I agree but let's not get carried away with the defensive coaches of the Bills. If you like regular season stats then they are very good. The playoffs is a whole different story. For three consecutive years the very good regular season defense pretty much sucked in the playoffs. Or at the very least couldn't get it done. Much falls on coaching and scheme. Moving forward, I am.not sure how anyone can be extremely confident in the Bills D come playoff time. Agree it's time for the Bills organization to contrentrate on the offense. It's been a series of misses and negligence. Saffold, Ford, Brown, various RBs, Crowder, etc...Whats the confidence level that Beane can get it right after several consecutive years of mediocrity?
  21. Agree that the Bills need offensive players and weapons. However, I have to question the statement the Bills are "loaded with defensive minds." Couldn't stop the Chiefs from scoring in 13 seconds or in OT. Did you see the defense vs Cinci. Some game plan? I'm sorry those defensive minds are so great.
  22. I'm not so sure about this. I think the Dolphins are already in that conversation. I do give the Bills an edge solely because of Allen. However, just look at the three game the Bills played the Dolphins. Every game went down to the wire. The real question is the Jets. Will they land Rodgers? Does that vault them into the conversation? The division is going to be a dogfight.
