  1. Beane has failed to solidify both sides of the lines. The oline has been problematic for years now. Giving Beane props this year almost seems too little too late. Besides do we really know if this moves will produce positive results? The Dline looks really thin and Beane's misses are glaring. Relaying on a aging Von Miller coming off a serious injury doesn't exude confidence. Bottom line is Beane didn't do enough when Allen was on his rookie contract. That was the optimal time to thrive and upgrade the trenches and offensive weapons. KC did it, Cinci did it, Philly did it, Jags did it, Miami did it, etc...Beane didn't do it. No one seems to get this point. Will Dhop help Buffalo? Absolutely! Is he the missing piece? Who knows? I agree and they are pretty thin at WR too. The Chiefs make the most sense. Dhop in a Chiefs uniform makes them instantly better. That's pretty daunting...
  2. I've been extremely harsh on McD. I really don't think he will lead this team to the Super Bowl. Hopefully, I'm wrong. The 22 ranking is pretty absurd. No way does he belong in the bottom tier category.
  3. Can't wait to see the McD defense. Just find it a little disingenuous that you talk about having a rookie OC and a DC that was a big mistake. Yet, the coach who obviously gives his blessings to the OC and DC is standing tall with little blemishes.
  4. I think that's why this year should tell us a lot about the direction of the team and it's coaching staff. McD taking over the D puts him front and center for praise or criticism. That's a good thing. We will see if Miami and NYJ have closed the gap or surpassed the Bills. Certainly, the favorite Bills team is being hotly pursued. Lots of question marks on OC Dorsey. Sadly, a team making a Super Bowl run shouldn't have OC concerns. Not the optimal situation the Bills management put themselves in. This season is certainly a pivotal one for the Bills. Another failed playoff loss or early will certainly open up the door for serious discussion. Sometimes change is painful but meaningful. Sometimes change is premature with poor results. No easy answer...
  5. Shanahan with Allen as his QB would be a slam dunk for a Lombardi Trophy. Shanahan is by far a better coach than McD. Of course, it's subjective but I doubt many pundits would disagree.
  6. Agree. It's hard for me to have a high level of confidence in McD after several years of colossal failure. The best chance will be if Allen plays Superman and wins despite the coaching staff. Tough to do against top notch teams. For me, it's hard to see the Bills coaching staff as being an assest and or better than whoever the opposition coaching staff will be. Josh definetly takes a backseat to Burrow after last year's playoff game. There really isn't any other way to see it.
  7. I hear you. Lots of validity in your post. However, I feel like McD has been out coached by a large margin in many recent playoff games. In fact, he got severely out coached in the home playoff win vs Miami. Throughout his whole Bills tenure the Bills have fallen mostly short in their playoff bid to the road to the Super Bowl. I guess everyone's threshold to judgement differs. He's had years to right the ship only to fall flat. I can't help but think that the Bills should have a least made a Super Bowl appearence by now. Perhaps, I'm wrong here. The lack of succeeding has to be displaced on the coaching staff which largely includes McD. Perhaps, I'm wrong here...
  8. I think he's a great team builder. Very good at making steps in the right direction for a mediocre team. Come playoff time against the big boys his flaws are clearly exposed and evident. Think Marty S as can example.
  9. I firmly believe McD will lose Diggs if the Bills fail to meet expectations. I don't think anyone questions McD's ability to build a nice culture and attitude in the locker room. However, this only gets you so far. I'd ask you to look at both sides of the lines. In the trenches sort of speak. Where is the nastiness, toughness, chippy play, and bad was attitude? I haven't seen it in the McD era. Have you? Clapping only gets you so far. The question was rhetorical. Look up the definition if you don't understand it. My point was it was a mistake to hire an inexperienced Dorsey especially when the Bills were making a legitimate run for the Lombardi. Feel free to disagree.
  10. I kept shaking my head in agreement as I read your post. Couldn't agree more.
  11. I think we are in the minority here. I agree with your post.
  12. That's fair. Hope you are right. I have to see it to believe it. I have a difficult time thinking the Bills will get past KC or Cinci.
  13. Just like LeBron wanted Westbrook. How did that work out? Players should stick to playing and let managers make personnel decisions. Beginning and end of conversation.
  14. What really irks me is the selection of Dorsey. Why? The Bills were in win it all mode last year. Big time hype and overwhelming favorites to win the Super Bowl. With that said, you don't put your chips into a rookie unproven OC. I don't care if he got Allen's blessing. I don't care if Dorsey had some familiarity with the offense. The Bills needed to upgrade the OC position. Not roll the dice with an unproven raw QB coach. Dorsey was the wrong guy for the job. He was unable to restrain a wild Allen, his offense lacked an identity, he abandoned the run game often, he lacked ingenuity, lacked using all his weapons, etc... His offense got taken to the woodshed by DC Lou A. It was clear Dorsey had no answers. I'd argue last year Dosey hurt the Bills chances to advance further. Not the optimal choice by the Bills brass who clearly were favorites to win it all. Can Dorsey improve? Of course that's possible. Same can be said that his elementary play calling continues. This year should tell us a lot about Dorsey and McD. That's a good thing because it's time to Shi$ or get off the pot. We fans are salavating for a Super Bowl appearence and win. Just ask Allen and Diggs how they feel...
  15. He's better than 22. However, he's proven to be mediocre and insuperior to the likes of Andy Reid and others in the playoffs. Until he gets his team to a Super Bowl the criticism will always be there as long as Allen is the QB. Five years and counting...What makes you think this is the year McD and the Bills will make the leap?
  16. So far McD has been out coached by a pretty wide margin in the last few playoff games. Is it too early to start thinking he might not be the leader to led the way to the Lombardi trophy?
  17. No doubt Allen takes chances. That's what happens when you are asked to play Superman and have a mediocre running game and Oline. Five years and counting. Turnovers are what keeps Allen behind Mahomes and Burrow. Well said! Mahomes is the class of the QBs. He is in a league of his own. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes close to Brady's record.
  18. McD certainly hasn't thrived in the biggest playoff games. Imho, he's been our coached by a lot in the last few playoff games. He certainly deserves criticism. For the most part, he's been given a free pass by the fans and press. His good guy attitude and culture makes it difficult to not like him. Plus, he is instrumental in turning around the franchise. I get the McD support. I have mixed feelings. That 13 second disaster really has made me think of him in a different light. Add in that Cinci game and I'm really not convinced he's the coach to hoist a Lombardi. We will see what he has this year. Him taking over the D is a huge front and center moment. So you have the stats and percentages of when McD made the correct call to go for it? Or the correct call to punt it? Would love to see those stats. Like I said previously, the 4th down success fails on Allen and his greatness. When you have Allen he makes coaches look great too.
  19. 4th down efficiency is only one piece of the equation. I'd argue the Bills 4th down success is attributed to Josh Allen and not McD play calling.
  20. Absolutely spot on here. There is such a huge difference between the regular season and playoff time. The playoff losses under the Beane and McD era are painful. Just look at the faces of Diggs, Allen, etc.. It's pretty undeniable that the regime has fallen short. It was crystal clear that McD has been out coached by a wide margin in recent playoff games. For me, that's not ok nor acceptable. Does McD suck? No he doesn't. I'd put him somewhere near the back of the top ten. I think his time is running out if he can't get this team to advance further. He's proven to be a good leader, culture builder, and high character guy. Very good regular season coach and not so much afterwards. Ask yourself is this good enough?
  21. I just cut the cord with Direct TV. My discounts just expired and it was too expensive. Plus, no NFL ticket. Subscribed to YouTube TV. Prices went up a lot. $72 a month which is about $100 cheaper than my Direct TV. Pretty good savings. Also, signed up for $249 NFL ticket. Supposedly, it's a $100 off promotion until June 6th. Personally, I like the setup of the Direct TV better. Seems easier for a non tech guy like myself. However, YouTube TV doesn't seen daunting. Will take a little getting used to. I can't help but think Direct TV is going to lose a lot of business. The retention department didn't even really try to retain me. Offered me a $50 off for 12 months. Not worth it! Thanks for your help in this matter. A few of you really encouraged me to make the jump.
  22. I agree with LT being likely being more vital to the line. I stand corrected as I over exgerrated my point. Thanks for correcting me.
  23. I'd be fine with a quality vet taking the lead while Brown develops. If Brown wins the job even better. The Bills are in win the Super Bowl mode. Agree? Imho, you shouldn't have a major question mark at RT which is arguably the most important position on the line. I don't buy your explanation with respect. Beane knows more than me but the glaring question mark is RT. I don't agree that he seemingly has gone all in with a young inexperienced and often injuried Brown. Huge risk in my eyes...
  24. Bates at RT isn't a great solution if Brown sucks again. The RT position will likely be a pretty big weakness this season. I think Beane has really failed to address this issue. No way do I feel confident or comfortable in Brown. Of course, he has legitimate excuses and is capable of stepping it up. The opposite is also a likely outcome too.
