I see OC as a relatively high draft need (not so much FA need).

Nice interview. Fun and informative on the OG's and OL overall (especially on Torrence). Inside track! Thanks for posting. I was wrong about wanting to replace Morse a while back, but I'm hoping Morse is mentoring Bates. Is Bates the future? Yay or nay?

Move on from Diggs when his contract is up. Even a diminished Diggs is better than most in this league. Draft or sign a new #1 WR in the FA to take some pressure off of him. Getting old sucks in this league, but when teams are smart with their 30+ players by adding younger talent to take some reps, guys like Diggs can have a resurgence, and return to form (just less pressure).

Bills have 10 picks in this draft. I totally agree that there will be players outside of round 1 that will be "good or better" than some picked in the first, but with that kind of draft capital, you trust your scouts, and move up on one to three "must have" players for the organization. The Bills are a top team, and I could only see maybe 4 or 5 drafted players at best making the 53 man roster. Bills better be busy retaining their free agents who are playing at a high level to maintain continuity.

2024 - Where are the holes and how will we fill them?
Yantha replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall
WR OC DT DE FS SS Thats my list for now…. Pretty happy with quite a lot, despite the loss. -
If the running play is away from him, I have no issue with him getting some wind and burning his route on the next play.

I think its due to lack of WR depth in Detroit. Laporta has got to be second in targets out in Detroit. I'd say Davis is stealing targets from Kincaid and it's a good problem to have. Love Kincaid, but he might just be a secret weapon to be used when defenses least expect it. I'm happy to see him develop while Diggs/Davis get the job done.

Joe Burrow huge extension 5 years $275 million now highest paid QB
Yantha replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Perspective.... Joe Burrow just got paid $3,000,000 to put up a stinker in the season opener. Three Million Dollars ......for that..... -
What's going to happen with Knox (I wonder). I see some formations with Knox and and Kincaid on the field at the same time, with Kincaid in the slot.... But with respect to Knox, he's really DINGED with the addition of Kincaid. Knox will see his targets cut in half, as well as his TDs this year. Kincaid is a special player. Can't wait.

Seasons for playoff calibre teams often come down to a handful of plays that fall one way or another. most of it has to do with preparation, conditioning and execution. BUT some of that is luck some of that is a missed call by a ref ……….. also: tuck rule, inflate gate, spying, laces out.

Thanks for posting Newcam. Just a comment on the second guy putting KC and the Bengals as elite with about 9 others in a "hodge podge" together (including the Bills). I think that honestly KC is taking a step back this year and is in the same "hodge podge". The Bengals' defense is okay. This league is very strong across the board, and I'd say about 10 teams have a very good chance (almost equally) of being AFC champs, and get to the superbowl. Equally.... KC does not have a true #1 WR. They rely on Kelce and the running game, with a top 3 QB at the helm. Their Defense is average to below average. The Bengals I think are better than KC this year but "elite" might be too high of a label. This is a "media thing", where they have to categorize like this so they have something to talk about. The Bills, Jets, Dolphins, Chiefs, Bengals, Browns, Chargers, Jaguars, Browns all have serious chances. Why get so stuck on "elite" vs. the rest? All of these teams could win 12+ games in the regular season. All of them. All of these teams could also go 8-8. That's why they play the games. The Bills have as good a chance of winning a superbowl as they have ever had in the past 30 years. I think they have a top 5 defense, a top 3 QB, a #1 WR, and we could see a top 5 RB this year as well. I'm excited to see what we have with two TE sets, and Gabe (captain Gabe) making some noise as well. Defensively we still should have a top 8 defense (arguably better than the "elite" KC and Bengals). Go Bills.

This is a great "film study" video of King talking with Baldinger (watch on youtube). Smart kid who knows the game. Move on from Siran Neal please.... -
Speculation and discussion on Bills final roster cuts

I'd drop Siran Neal for Desmond King, cut by Houston. -
I'd call this a lateral move. Not so much an upgrade.
-
Not sure if this was discussed, but the Texans released CB Desmond King. I'd drop Siran Neal for Desmond King if it can happen.

Buuuuut.... that reporter is writing with respect to the Eagles roster of talented LB with likely starters: Haasson Reddick Nakobe Dean Nolan Smith *and solid depth VanSumeren is penciled in as the third team MLB. He'd be third team MLB here too.... but would just replace Matakevich on special teams (and have upside to push for a second team role this year). We still need a STARTER, but I'd cut Klein to make room for a starter....
-
Agreed, and I'm not saying hes a starter but I'd replace a guy like special teams LB Matakevich with this guy due to his upside. He could develop into a solid to high end backup linebacker, possibly more.

Hello all, Haven't posted here in a while, but as I'm watching preseason, I'm compelled to gage your opinion on the linebacker position. Specifically I'm looking at Ben VanSumeren, UDFA that was picked up by Philly. I had hoped the Bills would land him and he posted a phenomenal pro day (see below). Now, in the preseason, he's the leading tackler and has been all over the field (see below). All signs point to VanSumeren being relegated to the Eagles PS since they have great depth at the position. I think that this kid is worth poaching! Who to cut to make room might be debatable, but I'm thinking it's time to move on from Klein or Matakevich. VanSumeren would be an ace on special teams. I realize there might be "cut casualties" of more seasoned vets but I like this kid's amazing upside. Thoughts appreciated.

Aaron Rodgers does his signature head shake and frowny face in frustration due to OL breakdowns by the end of the second series. Dalvin Cook gets a groin strain before the half, and dislocates his shoulder AGAIN before the game is done. Breece Hall comes in and does too much too soon. Out 8 weeks. Bills win on 2 Rosseau sacks, 1 Epenesa sack, and 1 Ed Olver sack... lol..... Rodgers spends the week at his meditation retreat pondering retirement.
