Can I have your crystal ball please? Joking.... Thanks for your comments. All in good fun.

not in any particular order.... OC Safety WR EDGE LB DT I'm hoping for BPA as positions of need (above) for MOST of the draft. Let the board do the talking.
-
No I did this draft assuming our top WRs came off the board. I didn't like the WRs that fell in that draft during round 2 and went with a value pick at a position I think we need. I'm not excited about Terrel Bernard as a long term guy. The second linebacker was way down the line as a late rounder for depth/special teams. Not a fan of "bust waiting to happen" statements. The same can be said for every single player in the draft. We just don't know.

This is a mock where in an imperfect world (such as it is), Addonai Mitchell and the usual WRs we want are off the board. And no trade up possibility.... 28 Byron Murphy DL | Texas Young stability on a DL that needs a boost in production. Collapse the pocket, stop the run. 60 Junior Colson LB | Michigan Cover linebacker that can take TE's out of the game. 128 Johnny Wilson WR | Florida State Some like him, some don't but I'm in the "like" column. I like our offseason FA additions and see an improvement in our WR room already. Wilson could be better than advertised, and is a CLEAR target for the red zone at his height. Put it up there... 133 Caelen Carson CB | Wake Forest Wished I had a good safety pick by now, but Carson is excellent value here, and could see the field. 144 Roger Rosengarten OT | Washington Another value pick, solid player. 160 Dadrion Taylor-Demerson S | Texas Tech Surprised to see Taylor-D here so it was a no brainer for me. He adds depth with upside at safety. Starting potential with time. 163 Ray Davis RB | Kentucky 5'10", 216lbs. Love his "pop". Nice replacement for the older guys we used to have in that role. 189 Ainias Smith WR | Texas A&M Tweener, gadgety kind of player that is a bit of a RB/WR prospect. Interesting player. I'll have to look into his KR/PR ability. 200 Ty'Ron Hopper LB | Missouri Excellent prospect on a solid team. Love what he brought to Missouri. Should be immediate impactful player on special teams, should he make the roster (or land on PS I guess... They can't ALL land on the 53. TOO MANY PICKS!) 204 Layden Robinson IOL | Texas A&M There will be some competition at OC. Robinson can try. 248 Braiden McGregor EDGE | Michigan Michigan pass rusher.... I mean at 248, why not give it a shot and develop this guy. We NEED some youth at EDGE.

Jeremiah has us taking a DT at 28 in his latest mock
Yantha replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm good with DT round 1 (if it were Byron Murphy) considering the depth at WR in this draft. Unless we move UP in round one, I see us having best value and most options at WR anyway, so it's fairly likely that WR is the pick... Maybe S Tyler Nubin And I'm looking at SEVERAL OPTIONS in the second round for WR -
I like quite a few DT I. This draft. Not so much I. The FA

Diggs. Catch the damn ball…

Trying to get the sentiment on Prime Minister Trudeau around here. If you post, let me know if you are Canadian, American, Both, or other..... (this should be fun....)

This is good. I like the idea for stability while we draft Safety. Hope the medicals are okay.

SOLID SOLID move. Very nice replacement for Gabe Davis. Also like Mack Hollins over Trent Sherfield.

Town or team?

Could there be two WR picks in rounds 1-4? Hmmm....
-
He was good. Not sure about some of the hate here. Not an elite WR, but a solid WR2. WR, already high on the draft list, just ticked up a little higher. Good luck Gabe!

Second shot at this.... 28: WR Brian Thomas Jr. - LSU 60: FS/NB Javon Bullard - Georgia 98: OC Cedric Van Pran - Georgia 128: DT Leonard Taylor III - Miami FL 145: WR Cornelius Johnson - Michigan 161: ILB JD Bertrand - Notre Dame 164: TE (dominant blocker) AJ Barner - Michigan 195: DE Jalen Green - James Mad 199: CB Johnny Dixon - Penn State 203: WR Jordan Whittington - Texas 247: Cedric Johnson - Ole Miss

First shot at this..... and DT's didn't fall right. Would have to spend on DT in the FA with a scenario like this.
-
I'll call it right now. On draft day we will be rooting for WR round 1 and we'll pass on "our guy" for the BPA DT... lol Agreed. It's a LOOOOONG list!
-
With Settle and Ford, I have them as offering the vet minimum as just in case 3rd stringers.... But in actuality, I'm hoping we sign Jones, and also target a quality DT in the draft, so Settle/Ford (or both) wouldn't make the 53 man roster. FA Targets? Maybe Christian Wilkins (Miami)? We'd have a HUGE amount of $$ tied up at the DT position if we sign Jones and Wilkins, but DL is an area of "need" for investment. Hard call.
-
I get that but you have to be careful what you wish for. Cobbling together a whole brand new unit might be amazing, or it could be a disaster. There's something to be said for continuity. What's the answer? I'm not sure.... I think it's a really tough call. I like Jones as my #1 target on that list. I'd be hesitant of Epenesa $$$, but hopefully he comes back without a stinker contract for the club. My "Walk" players are Leonard Floyd, Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson, Linval Joseph, and Von Miller (find him a new home).

Just posting some facts here in hopes of generating some DL offseason discussion. Lots of players UFA, and I think that Von Miller is done as well, being on the wrong side of 30, personal issues, injuries etc. Not the same player. UDFA DT, ED, Edge: Rank the below players as PAYDAY players, WALK players (let 'em move on), Take it or Leave it offers (minimums), and RETAIN if possible players (competitive offer but may lose 'em) DT Daquon Jones DE Leonard Floyd DT Jordan Philips DT Tim Settle DE AJ Epenesa DE Shaq Lawson DT Poona Ford DT Linval Joseph OLD (and other issues) EDGE Von Miller That's a LOT of contracts to consider this offseason. What stands out the most for me is whether we PAYDAY Daquon Jones, and DE AJ Epenesa? I think that we WALK Leonard Floyd or give him a Take it or Leave it offer.
