My "ALL IN" WR draft..... Let's run some 4 WR sets... with Kincaid on the line too... Who do you cover? Here's your WR depth chart: Diggs, McCaffrey Samuel, Polk Mitchell, Shakir, Hollins TE's: Kincaid, Knox, Barner

I'll be doing one a day from now 'til the draft. In this version, a top pass rusher JARED VERSE fell to 22 and I had to trade up for the value. Still added two WRs with interesting characteristics to add to the WR room, a DOMINANT space eater at DT, TE depth, a Center to add depth, compete to start, as well as safety depth.

Too many pages to read here! What's the impression of Luke McCaffrey? Underrated?

Which round are the Bills more likely to trade up....1st or 2nd??
Yantha replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have 8 draft picks in 2025, and 11 in 2024. That's a LOT of draft capital. I could see a trade up in BOTH rounds if the conditions were right. And don't forget that we could trade a PLAYER as well. -
LOL. Sorry I disagree big time on that one.

Torrence was a steal! Hope we see something similar this year.

It's a fair point but you can't sign a probowl center. They all have jobs with other teams at this point. WR is likely the round 1 pick, but remember the thread was about a scenario where our top WRs are all gone by 28, and Beane said he'd pass on WR if the value wasn't there in the pick 28 bracket of players. Sorry, I just said "WR".....

I had a little extra time on my hands this morning... so I ran some simulations (10 each) with PFF, Pro Football Network, and NFL Mock Draft Database. The ADP for JPJ were as follows: PFF (only ran one sim since I don't have a subscription): Picked at 26 Profootball Network: Range was from pick 16-26, ADP was pick 24 (Dallas) NFL Mock Draft Database: Range was much wider from pick 16-46 with ADP of 30 (so he'd be there at 28....). and basically if JPJ slipped to round 2, he would tumble to 35 (Arizona) or 46 (Panthers in a trade down). So I guess you just never know how a board will fall. Every year there's a handful of players that were thought to go in the top 25 that slip the the bottom of the first or beyond. Now we are getting pretty close to the draft and conversations are getting into the weeds. Love this time of year.

We don't know the answer. But I'd argue that experimentation isn't really an option for a team that is not in "rebuild mode", but rather "championship push" mode. McGovern really surprised me at OG (I was a naysayer....when we brought him in...), and maybe he'd be a good center.

Hi all. Haven't posted on here for a long long time. Let's have a conversation and see if we can do it without the use of the term WIDE RECEIVER that I think we all (myself included) are excited about adding a few from this draft. I'm here to talk about the possibility of investing in a new, long term, potentially dominant anchor for our O-line. OC Jackson POWERS-Johnson. Mitch Morse was a stable and good player. Arguably not elite. I watched this analysis on JPJ that I thought was spot on. Last time I brought up drafting Center on this board I got destroyed. I still expect a lot of barf emojis and nay-sayers.... but again, I'm ONLY suggesting Center if there is a run on WRs and JPJ is the value pick. I feel that there might be a RUN on wide receivers in round one and without trading up, we might miss on the top WRs that we have been mocking at pick 28. Watching Beane talk about draft strategy, I'm thinking that they won't take a WR at 28 if they have the board looking like top round 2 players. Beane himself said he would pass on WR if that were the case, selecting the higher ranked player. At 28, I think that's a pretty good spot for the top center in the draft. Could they go DT? Safety? Edge? other? Well of course...... But let's not sleep on center. We COULD move one of our Guards over..... or just pick our Center that would likely be our guy for a decade. Here's the link:

Beane Discusses Draft Strategy w/ Pat McAfee

Personally I think we need to try to trade Stefon Diggs BEFORE the draft day for a pick package that nets a second rounder in some way. I'm happy to move on from Diggs and go all in with this WR class.
-
I like every single one of those picks. I'm targeting most of those late picks similarly. And hope we land Nubin in Rd2 trade up, especially if we get a WR by that time.

Marvin Harrison Jr wants to be a Bill
Yantha replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good to know he wants to be a Bill. May have to wait until after his rookie contract. LOL -
J.K. Dobbins would be a good addition as the Bills’ power RB.

No to Mr. Glass. -
Hey Scorpion. Can't see your post for some reason.

I'm only doing TRADE simulations now as I see that happening. But I'm only using 2024 picks. In this one, I actually traded down by two and got the WR I wanted still, then used the extra draft capital to trade back up in the second to get a monster pass rusher that would hopefully take Mahomes to the ground several times a game....
-
Yes, I'd pick Wiggins at 28 if he slipped and the best WRs are off the board like they were in this mock. Good value.

I never get too excited for 40 times with safeties. It doesn't translate well to being a "good player" as much as having a high football IQ, instincts, and CHANGE OF DIRECTION ability. Not saying that 40 time is insignificant (it IS). Acceleration to recover from separation, providing over the top help with corners, closing on a ball carrier. All these things and more are helped by a good 40. But if you don't have the other important intangibles, all you are is an amazing track star. Cole Bishop is more than that for sure. Definitely worth a look if he's the BPA.
-
That would be exciting Scorpion. Thomas Jr., and Mitchell would be fun to watch. Did you give up a first in 2025 for that? Might be worth it.
-
Here's my trade up mock landing SEVEN draft picks instead of the ridiculous number of picks we have right now.
-
Question about the mocks (and the real draft coming up). Have the Bills ever had so many picks?? How many could ACTUALLY make the 53? I'm expecting MANY trade ups with this wealth of draft capital. Looking to see more TRADE UP MOCKS here. Thanks!

Is drafting Diggs replacement a priority in this draft?
Yantha replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd put drafting Diggs' replacement at a top 4 priority. 1. Draft Diggs' replacement 2. Add S youth to offset Poyer/Hyde 3. Add an Edge rusher to offset Von Miller's decline and lack of pass rush. 4. Add OC to account for the loss of Mitch Morse By the end of round 4, all of these positions would be addressed in a perfect world in my opinion. I'd say we need DT but should be able to pick a few in round 5+. But again, it depends on BPA..... and you never know how the board falls. I like WRs right through round 5, so WR in round 1 isn't an absolute MUST in my opinion. -
Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)
Yantha replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Forgive me for this but is he SS or FS? He's all pro but I'm just not that familiar with the Broncos depth chart.
