  1. He doesn't move much on my big board because of this. Down about 40 spots or so, but will depend on the doc reports.
  2. I fault the Rams. They misused him to a very frustrating degree. I think the Rams offensive playcalling was incredibly pedestrian and it's THE reason the team fell apart. I'm surprised there were no coach firings after that one. Robinson deserves a shot and yes, I'd happily give up a 6th rounder for his services. He's GOT to be hungry and mad at his situation this year. Cam Akers's situation was revealing as well. Man was "ticked".... with coaching. I'll stop now, before I get too accusatory about the Head coach, but maybe you know where I'm going with this... Yes to Robinson if the $ and draft pick are reasonable. Hardman's issue has been durability, and I'd share the concern there for sure.
  3. Hardman would be a huge steal. YES.
  4. I'm a big YES to this possibility. I can't stand the Rams offensive playcalling.... Kupp, Kupp, then desperate throws to Robinson.... He was underappreciated and not used well. In Chicago, he was the MAN. I think he has a lot to prove and I'd love to see him have a chance in Buffalo. YES.
  5. Oh there will be heads exploding during the draft. ... Much more available defensive talent in the first few rounds compared to high end offensive talent. 🍿🍿🍿🍿 We MAY have a shot at the best OG in this class, but if a higher ranked defensive player is sitting there, do you look the other way?
  6. Defense at pick 27. Yes I'd be happy with that if it's the BPA at another position of need (other than OL, and WR...). 1. My number 1 pick in this draft is S Brian Branch, and I'd pick him over any O-lineman. 2. If the top OT's are off the board: I'd be happy with: CB Devon Witherspoon CB Christian Gonzalez CB Joey Porter DT Jalen Carter DT Bruam Bresee DT Calijah Kancey DE Will Anderson DE Tyree Wilson DE Lucas Van Ness DE Myles Murphy 3. I think all of #2 will be off the board and I'm thinking our pick will be OG O'Cyrus Torrence, or OT Anton Harrison. 4. Back to D... if Torrence / Harrison are gone.....I'd be happy with: LB Diayan Henley S Antonio Johnson CB Deonte Banks CB Tyrique Stevenson DT Mazi Smith DE Andre Carter II DE Nolan Smith DE Will McDonald DE BJ Ojulari Round 1 and 2 is loaded with defensive talent and odds are that's what will be landed. Just from numbers and OL needs of other teams.... Hope we get lucky with how the draft board falls, and we actually have a shot at some OL talent. But I'm not going to be upset if we go BPA on defense.
  7. I'm not sure of the lineup but if we're talking FA, I hope we get a new starting OG and RT out of it, one way or another. The cap is a big issue.
  8. I admire Von Miller.
  9. In this scenario, the Bills land TWO interior linemen Free Agents, plus some "insurance" at runningback for relatively cheap. We get some pretty good competition to replace Poyer, while also looking at Hyde's future with the team in the NEAR future... He's next at over 30... - Gone: Poyer, Edmunds and Singletary (Cook gets the start)
  10. He'll go to a playoff team that wants to rent a player to give them an edge. Someone proven, and doesn't need time to develop. This is a definite loss for the Bills but again, I think Poyer's best days are behind him and just watch out for how many games he actually plays next season. NFL football is full of monsters and to be over 30 in this league? Those weekend bumps and bruises add up to missed games.
  11. Let's find out of any Bruce Smith descendants are in this draft.... Want that nasty edge?
  12. Well here's my way too early Big Board for round 1... Many changes coming after the combine, and free agent period.... Tier 1 guys you hope will slip. Some more or less likely to slip to 27. My preference (in order) S Brian Branch OT Paris Johnson OT Peter Skoronski OT Broderick Jones CB Devon Witherspoon CB Christian Gonzalez CB Joey Porter DT Jalen Carter DT Bruam Bresee DT Calijah Kancey DE Will Anderson DE Tyree Wilson DE Lucas Van Ness DE Myles Murphy WR Quentin Johnson WR Jordan Addison WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR Zay Flowers Tier 2 picks for #27 (more likely to be available) OG O'Cyrus Torrence OT Anton Harrison LB Diayan Henley S Antonio Johnson CB Deonte Banks CB Tyrique Stevenson DT Mazi Smith DE Andre Carter II DE Nolan Smith DE Will McDonald DE BJ Ojulari WR Nathaniel Dell
  13. I don't know actually. Is this Benford "our" idea, or has Beane talked about it?
  14. You a very likely right about what the Bills org will do. Perhaps not the best way to win a superbowl, but that's also the reality of Cap I guess. But they will save with letting Singletary, Edmunds, and Poyer go, so hope fully SOME of the savings. go to OL.
  15. I'd add Taylor Rapp from LA, and also draft a Safety somewhere. Great potential there and likely affordable.
  16. I really hate to say it... and I personally was hoping to draft the future at OL, but I honestly don't see ONE OT outside of the first round that I'd want to draft, and we would have to hope for a top 20 prospect to drop to us. OG? That position is thin.... very thin. I'm not seeing even one I'd be super happy with. I actually like a number of centers that could be had in round 2 or 3, but we need guards and an OT far more. So.... again I hate to say it but I'm not expecting much with respect to fixin the OL issues with this draft. We need some luck in the first round. And for those of us who lament the Bills' defensive drafting time and time again, this draft class is MUCH stronger with defensive prospects, including safety, corner, linebacker, and even right across the D-line.... Prospect-wise, we might be looking at a "throw your beer" draft like the one below where the BPAs might not include any O-line options at all... OR we'd be reaching for lesser talent. Round 1: WR Zay Flowers Round 2: BPA Pass Rusher Round 3: BPA Cornerback like Hodges-Tomlinson Round 4: BPA Runningback Round 5: Linebacker Dorian Williams Round 6: Safety Trey Dean III
  17. Hi All, I hesitate to start another thread (I've started a few in recent days), but I'm putting the question out to the fellow draft geeks. While I've been looking at the draft class, a few things have been standing out that makes me rethink the approach to the FREE AGENCY and draft. 1. Runningback is a pretty strong group in my opinion, with quality backs projected to be available fairly deep, even through round 6 or so. I think Singletary has to WALK, let Cook get a kick at the can, with Hines and a mid round draft pick nipping at their heels. 2. WR seems pretty good through round 3. I agree with Beane that we can trust Davis to rebound, and I REALLY like Shakir. I'd add an AFFORDABLE free agent to the mix, and see if there is a quality WR somewhere in the draft. 3. This draft is very strong with Safeties. Poyer really wants out from what it seems... so Safety is a must draft EARLY or nab a quality replacement in the FA. 4. Linebacker looks pretty strong as well, through rounds 3-4, so Tremaine could be replaced via the draft. 5. Backup QB: I like a few options as deep as round 6. 6. Pass Rush: LOTS of great options in this draft, very deep. 7. DT: Not a huge need for the team, but some late round talent available. Which brings me to the main point. I like quite a few OTs, OGs, and OCs (BUT NOT VERY MANY, deeper in the draft!!!). I think this is a weaker draft for O-linemen than what we'd like. Considering the many teams in need of O-linemen, I feel that it will be slim pickings for teams looking for immediate starters, especially outside of round 3. I think that it would be pretty irresponsible for Beane to roll the dice on getting lucky and landing more than one TOP O-lineman prospect. We arguably need THREE new starters and we will not get all of those in the draft. I think the vast majority of FA money needs to be invested into TWO top O-line free agents. Let's shore up Right Tackle and ONE Guard spot, so that we won't be forced to REACH in this draft for O-linemen, and failing to add BPA talent at other positions of need. Looking forward to the Free Agency flurry, and hope we come away with TWO established, dominant O-linemen.
  18. Yeah, I'm only 5'10.5.... and couldn't get my weight any higher than 200lbs (at best) at that time. Way too small for college linebacker. I'm all for players getting tried at different positions, but not just for team need. I think the switch should only be considered if the player is not playing well at the position he was drafted for. It's kind of a "last chance" scenario IMO.
  19. The longer I look.... the weaker this O-line class looks. Hoping we address the O-line heavilly in the free agency so that we don't have to rely on this draft. Wouldn't it be nice to have a new right tackle and a new OG in free agency as INSTANT worry-free upgrades?
  20. Just bumping this topic now that Carson Wentz was released by the Commanders. I'm not sure if Wentz believes he's starting material still but his options are becoming limited I think. At this stage, he may consider a lesser contract just to stay in the NFL, and I don't think that many here would argue he's an upgrade to Case Keenum. Knock on Wood that nothing ever happens to Allen.... but we need a better backup.
  21. Great draft, except for round 1 in my opinion. I worry about Jaxon and the hamstring issues. Will he be "Christian Watson" from the first 8 games of this season where he just could NOT stay on the field, had mental lapses, drops, running wrong routes?? Kadarius Toney also had chronic hamstring issues and it shuttled him right out of New York. OR Will he be the "Christian Watson" from the latter half where he finally got it together? Personally, I don't want the Bills to gamble on that one.
  22. Earlier I said that I wanted Orlando Brown from that list. On second thought, I think we keep Left Tackle intact on our OL and target RIGHT tackle Mike McGlinchey on the other end. Guards... I'm less interested in this free agent period, which makes me put a HIGHER value on OG's in this draft. Bump up those OG's by 10-ish slots on your Big Boards people... That's where we improve the interior OL this offseason. Draft OG, maybe even two within the first three rounds. OG OG OC Not flashy but wouldn't that be a surprising sight that would really help the team in my opinion. I'm not saying this is THE must do approach at all... but I would not be upset with it. Linebacker, and Corner, possibly safety, DL or WR should also be considerations IF the right player slips to the Bills.
  23. This draft has some good safety prospects, and I'd be fine with even a first round pick. If you lose an all pro safety, the team needs to make an effort to replace him.
  24. yep. thanks.
