Outside of the top 3, I'm not too impressed really. Some projects there, but likely better BPA options outside of the first round.

Hello fellow draft geeks.
I'm hoping to enlist some help in evaluating MIDDLE linebacker prospects in this upcoming draft. Jack Campbell is the leader of the positional group, but outside of Campbell, the Bills may need to target prospects beyond the #1 guy...
What I'm looking for is TRUE middle linebacker prospects only.
Please post your players, with some brief explanation as to why they fit (either that was their position in college, or if they could transition in the NFL). It would also help if you could project which round they are graded.
Much thanks!

Can you provide the list from 1 to 260 precisely ranking the players in order. I don't want to get to pick 59, and accidently take the 60th best player instead of the 59th.
Here are my round 1 targets in order of preference. My number 1 "need" player so far is Jack Campbell, but I'd want him in a trade down scenario with respect to value.
ROUND 1 TARGETS:
44Jack Campbel lLB IOWA
39O'Cyrus Torrence G FLORIDA
41Steve Avila G TCU
14Brian Branch S ALABAMA
12Peter Skoronski T NWESTERN
19Paris Johnson Jr. T OHIO STATE
23Anton Harrison T OKLAHOMA
25Broderick Jones T GEORGIA
31Dawand Jones T OHIO STATE
7Devon Witherspoon CB ILLINOIS
10Christian Gonzalez CB OREGON
16Joey Porter Jr. CB PENN STATE
18Deonte Banks CB MARYLAND

If Skoronski slips, it's a done deal I think. But I don't think he slides to 27.

That wouldn't happen this season. He has a 23 million dollar dead cap hit if we do it this year. The potential is there to get out next year though.

Ouch!! That's a big dead cap hit.
Yep, not gonna happen. Thanks for looking that up!

I have a sneaky feeling that CB White could be a cap casualty. Just putting that out there in the universe.....
If there's a guy who's "pay" doesn't match his "play" right now, it's White. Not sure if I'd agree with it off the top, but if another better value corner replaced him, and it freed up over $9,700,000 in cap savings, allowing us to sign other pieces like OG Seumalo, and MLB Bobby Wagner..... I could live with that.
Depends on how good they feel about Elam stepping up I suppose (and if a quality value acquisition was available in FA), but Beane did say that "there could be other cap casualties depending on who is added." - Source: https://www.buffalobills.com/news/top-5-things-gm-brandon-beane-press-conference-on-the-bills-fr

Just want to add (and am I a minority here?), that perhaps Cornerback needs to be added to the list of needs.
If White falls flat next season, the unit could be pretty shallow. I like Elam's upside, but personally I have CB in the mix for any round including round 1 IF the board fell that way.

I know everyone's clamoring for a wr, but I still think OBJ is in play. This is my mock draft.
1) O'Cyrus Torrence G Florida: Solidify the interior line for years.
2) Daiyan Henley LB Washington State: Tough defender with speed and cover skills. Equally good against the run and the pass.
3) Kendre Miller RB TCU: The strong north/south runner Beane is looking for. Excellent receiver out the backfield and stout in pass protection.
4) Luke Schoonmaker TE Michigan: Playing behind a very good TE in Erick All. Would be starting for any other team in the country. Untapped potential.
5) Demarco Hellman S Alabama: A sleeper pick that can turn out to be a good value pick.
6) Ricky Stromberg G/C Arkansas: A 4-year starter with versatility to play guard and center.
The top will contribute day one. Schoonmaker should see snaps with the Bills playing more double TE. Best way to neutralize Miami Dolphins two conerbacks.
Pretty good. I like Henley as well but not sure if he's a MIDDLE linebacker.

I think that after the good showing at the combine, Kuntz could go in the 4th.
I'd be okay with that if he was BPA. Would prefer round 5.

Last year I wanted to draft TE in round 1 or 2.
I took some heat on my evaluation of Knox, and I'll say it now that I was wrong. I'm happy with Knox, and would love to see us shore up depth behind him. Not in rounds 1 or 2 though...

I just don't like the guy..... doesn't seem like a Buffalo "character" fit.
How long 'til that knee gets knocked out again.
Spend SMART.

"Per Source", Bills showing interest in RT Brandon Shell.
I could get behind a move like this.

Slowing down around the league....
So will we basically be waiting to fill final holes AFTER the draft?
-
Will be released for sure.
Question is if he'll be signed back for a vet minimum after he "tests the market".

This OG is my #1 hopeful FA acquisition this year.
LG upgrade. and a major one.

Personally I've got Jack Campbell flying up my big board and could see the Bills trading down and selecting him to start at MLB.
Would depend on how the board fell. For example, if OG O'Cyrus Torrence is off the board.
I think a trade down is looking plausible if there are partners. Would be nice to have two second rounders in this draft to select, for example,
- Jack Campbell, MLB
- Steve Avila, OG
...just adjusting to the lack of FA action around MLB.....

Great! This helps the Bills two fold!

OG A.J. Cann was cut by the Texans. Solid OG. Just went to the Texans discussion forums and there don't seem to be any complaints about his play.
I'd take a look..... Seems like a good option to add to the mix.

LOL Clyde, I'm not excited either haha.

I've bolded the guys I think they'll sign for low cost, allow them a chance to compete in preseason. Can't let most of the OL leave and find replacements for the entirety of the vacancies. Sign for low, draft, and add another FA, and then let the chips fall where they may.

Jaquon Johnson
Taiwan Jones

Shaq Lawson

Just a hunch.
