  1. In all seriousness..... I hope he doesn't cause further damage. He really ought to retire. He's already made more money than you or I will make in our lifetime...... He's all good on that front. I understand why he's playing but time's ticking.
  2. This is what I see as well.
  3. Like Eli Manning drafted by the Chargers and immediately traded for a boatload of picks.
  4. I'm down to a top 5: RT Dawand Jones, Ohio St. LB Daiyan Henley, Washington St. IOL Luke Wypler, Ohio St DT Keanu Benton, Wisconsin DT/NT Siaki Ika, Baylor <----extremely impressed how this guy can collapse the pocket. I'd be happy with any of these 5.
  5. LOL don't kill the messenger! The board speaks! haha... Henley or Wypler would be nice but (crap I just jinxed it).
  6. This mock is looking increasingly like it's going to be a DT consideration in round 2 for the Bills. I wasn't expecting that going in! ...unless of course you want a pass rusher. Lot's of those on the board....
  7. Yes. If I wish hard enough, NOBODY selects linebacker. EVER......
  8. Let's just work out DJ Fluker already....
  9. Trade up in the first including a smart package with Ed Oliver. Select OT. then package our 2d and 3rd and a 2024 pick to move up for jack Campbell.
  10. Sadly, the draft seems to be deepest in positions we don't need... lol.
  11. 9 picks to go. My top 9: 2 DTs 1 OT (Dawand Jones) 1 LB (Daiyan Henley) 1 OC (Luke Wypler) Reaches: 3 Safety prospects, or DT Saiki Ika (the big dude)
  12. Just an FYI Chad Reuter just posted his mock on NFL.com.... Traded up to 20 for Edge Defender Nolan Smith.... I've seen numerous mocks with the Bills selecting DE. Are all of us missing something or..... I drafted Nolan Smith at 36 for the Bucs.
  13. I'm always chill.
  14. Not sure where this should go. Several teams reportedly only have ONE WR with first round grades: https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/nfl-rumors-numerous-teams-have-given-only-one-wr-first-round-grade?cid=Yahoo&partner=ya4nbcs
  15. Yeah I checked out Star, and thought he was much heavier. 315 I think?
  16. This is too slow yes. It's Easter weekend so there's family gatherings etc, but I think it's on the participants to know roughly when they'll pick and make somewhat of an effort to be available. Can't leave the draft hanging for 2 hours just because. Easy to step away for a quick check in once in a while.
  17. You know.... I'm not going to die on this Nose Tackle hill.... I love big physical DT's, but looking back at McD's Panthers' roster (that includes Luke Kuechly), the DL had starters around 310-315 lbs (no "nose" measurables....). If McD's influencing Beane, and we know he is..... I think that Nose tackles will not be a major focus in this draft. Love the players though. What this exercise has taught me though, is that Beane/McD have to be thinking that Campbell is the closest thing to building out this roster with a "Kuechly"-esque player that is currently missing on the roster. I'm willing to BET that Campbell will be our "reach" in this draft. (not to hijack my own thread LOL). Panthers Defense when McD ran the show:
  18. There's some truth to that. McD does have a history of the 4-3 dating back to Carolina, carried over to the Bills. But even in a 4-3, having a bigger DT gives versatility. Defensive Ends in a 4-3, depending on their measurables will play on the line or off ball. Von Miller is that type of player. A hybrid DE/OLB. When you have a stout DT that COMMANDS double teams allows your Ends to drop back if needed. Bottom line is you need the versatility of personnel to make it all work. This. What I mean moreso is a bigger bodied 4-3 DT that commands double teams on most snaps. Allows for more flexibility at DE.
  19. Yep, I agree with everything you are saying here. Just wondering if we will see a mix of different schemes that call for a different skill set. The defense COULD look very different this year. You never know what Beane/McD have planned....
  20. I agree that quite a few of my DTs have third round grades as well, but I've got them in round 2 due to "need". This draft has a LOT of WRs, cornerbacks and edge rushers in round 2 grades but since I'm leaving them out of round 2 for this mock (since we drafted Addison), it pulls up some 3rd round graded prospects (like OT Morris, Oklahoma, and S Jammie Robinson, Florida State). Some of my guys would be reaches admittedly.
  21. I'm just starting to scratch the surface on this question, but I have to say I'm majorly impressed with that Baylor dude.... Watch his brute strength in the highlight video. A man amongst boys. I actually feel bad for those Centers! lol
  22. Change is coming in the 2023 season. We will have a new DC, with a different philosophy, we've lost our starting MLB and questions remain as to who the starting linebackers will be. I think it's fair to say that our DL depth is better than our LB depth, but another question has arisen. "Should we trade Oliver?". Other questions I've seen come up is IF Bernard is the next man up, will the DL need a Nose Tackle to eat up blocks and help Bernard play to his attributes/abilities? I'll add that even IF we draft Campbell (or any other rookie MLB...), maybe a nose tackle would help the team overall anyways.... even if Tremaine was still here. This thread is to discuss defensive schemes, and whether a pure Nose Tackle should be part of the conversation during this draft. I'm listing profiles of some prospects that can be discussed here as well. DT Siaki Ika, Baylor (335 lbs) - projected 3rd rounder DT Keondre Coburn, Texas (332 lbs) - Projected 4th round DT Brodrick Martin, W. Kentucky (330 lbs) - projected 6th round Sorry, no highlight video....
  23. So right now with the Packers on the clock, Bills are 15 picks away. My top 15 players on my big board have the following positional breakdown: 5 DTs 3 OTs 1 LBs 2 IOLs 4 Safeties Considering that OT and LB are arguably the bigger need... I'm staring down only 4 preferred prospects at positions of greater need.. Fingers crossed..... Going BPA outside of bigger need, I can add a handful of TEs / RBs.... Thinking that Addison was a luxury pick considering the value in round 2 at the WR position (Downs, Dell, Wilson, Rice, Perry, Tillman - at least 1 of these 6 could be available in round two for the Bills). Jack Campbell + Tillman would be great, for example. Addison + ????? is the question.
  24. Fantasy football tracks this metric..... but not for specific players, just positional groups. Ironically for this concern of the Bills covering Kelce, the Bills allow the FEWEST points to opposing teams' TEs! Best in the league in that category particular category. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/stats/posvsdef/TE/all/avg/standard?&_3:col_1=13&_3:col_2=13
