  1. I admit I was surprised by the trade. I stand by my take that @JohnCMark_ is a troll account and not, in fact, a beat reporter for the Miami Dolphins. If you want to "expose" that, provide evidence to the contrary. He was right that we traded Diggs, and right about Houston interest (busted clock, right 2x day), but unfortunately quite wrong about the compensation. I'm sure the Bills were interested in the Texans 2nd round pick, but according to Schefter that is not at all what they got - https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39866413/sources-bills-finalizing-trade-star-wr-stefon-diggs-texans They got a #2 pick from 2025, which is likely to be lower IMHO. It doesn't bother me to be wrong, or to own it when I am, but I don't think this is quite the "flex" you appear to believe it to be. "Who is this clown" by H2o still appears to hold.
  2. Um, that was a lot less cryptic than many of his other messages. It reads more like "you're about to do that experiment" vs. his earlier stuff.
  3. I mean, he pretty much did so in 2018 with a rookie QB and 2019 with a developing QB.
  4. True grades are always seen in hindsight, but I give it a "D" at present. The compensation is inadequate IMO. On the other hand, we take on a bit more dead cap and clear a hunk of cap space next season.
  5. That's pretty much where I am, but none of us know details of what's gone on or going on "behind the scenes" at One Bills Drive.
  6. Did NOT see this coming. Says it's for a 2025 2nd round pick, which if I understand the draft value pundits, is considered to be de-valued by a round (eg equivalent to a 3rd round pick this season) I don't think it's enough compensation, but we'll see. I would predict him to do a Jerry Hughes - play well and have a resurgence this season, then fall off a cliff.
  7. That was certainly my belief. I think the Bills "design" scrambles in the same sense that they "design" scramble drill routes - the WR have instructions they execute after the QB is flushed out of the pocket, in order to be "QB friendly", the OLmen have instructions on how to continue to block in the same circumstances. But they aren't exactly "designed plays".
  8. Well, for one thing, at the point where Dorsey was fired on November 14th, the Bills pretty much had to win all but 1 of their remaining games to make the playoffs. I think that McDermott's risk-tolerance for Josh running changes depending on how much is on the line. Can you explain what "designed runs and scrambles" means to you? Scrambles, to my understanding, are by definition when the structure of the play breaks down and the QB chooses to run.
  9. Concur. I just came here to type this: somehow it hadn't registered with me that he was just a few months into his 30th year when he retired at halftime. I thought he was older.
  10. Terrible news. RIP.
  11. Here is the full text of your post to which I responded. "It'd be nice if we'd draft a WR late in round 2 about where our 60th pick is this year, that would put up 577 yards and 4 TDs in the second half of his rookie year. At that rate he'll be as productive as Dogs (sic) has been for us." LIterally. "second half of his rookie year" No mention of playoffs.
  12. Be helpful if you could provide some examples of what you're talking about. The actual turnovers from actually watching the game say sometimes he's the problem; sometimes he and the rest of the team compensate, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the turnovers don't matter (end of half) or aren't his fault
  13. Wait, are you saying Dallas traffic news reported someone at the hospital, but now that Rice is involved we don't know whether or not there were injuries?
  14. Wait, who said that? We should never have traded Lamonica(tm)
  15. Psssssst. What if we told you....the entire season counts? (You really are becoming entirely predictable)
  16. Better source: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2024/03/31/kansas-city-chiefs-rashee-rice-suspected-in-connection-with-major-accident-in-dallas/ Says there is no information on that point yet. Which is kind of odd, considering it happened at 6:20 pm on a Saturday. Maybe it's a 1 car "major crash"?
  17. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2024/03/new-buffalo-bills-dt-loaded-amazon-and-ups-trucks-before-getting-back-into-league-4-things-to-know.html Um, Wat? Would results have been better if it were 1-armed Tyrell Dodson?
  18. Thank you very much for putting this all together. OK, so in theory....they upgraded bigly. In practice - we'll see. I will say I'm not sure acquiring OL talent from the Ravens is the best move to establish pass protection. Those guys have traditionally been 'road graders' in the run game, but Lamar Jackson doesn't get sacked that much because of his escapability - and even so, he took 41 sacks last season. Tyron Smith was a great LT in his time, but it's not just that he missed 4 games last season - he hasn't played a full season since 2015, and he hasn't been a first-team all-pro since 2016. In the last 4 seasons, he's appeared in 2, 11, 4, and 13 games. There's a reason why at age 34, Dallas was willing to move on from him and why his contract with the Jets is highly incentivized for playing time. Alijah Vera-Tucker - "now healthy"? He tore his Achilles October 9th, he had a "procedure" to repair it and was just out of a walking boot in early Jan. He says it was a "higher up" tear with "better blood supply" and he had a different repair than Rodgers. So I would say - it's unknown at this point whether he'll be ready at the start of next season, and if so, what level of play he'll be capable of. Some guys come back from an Achilles, some guys don't but I think it's especially hard for an OLman. Either way, he's appeared in 7 and 5 games the last 2 seasons, so the Jets ROI for a 1st round guard is not high at the moment. Basically at 2/5 spots on OL, they're counting on guys who have missed a lot of time the last 2 seasons to level up their availability significantly, and counting on a guard and a RT from the best running team in the NFL, with a highly mobile and elusive QB, to provide pass protection for a relatively immobile elder statesman returning from an Achilles injury. It's a plan, but it's not a slam-dunk good plan, in my opinion. I think the Jets have had a great defense and it will look much better if whoever they have behind center isn't turning the ball over at a top-of-the-league pace. I think it remains to be seen if they've provided enough of an OL to keep Rodgers upright through much of the season, and of course, if Rodgers will make it through much of the season effectively. Maybe their offensive plan is a short passing offense and lean on the run game?
  19. Kyle Allen signed with PIttsburgh. Very strange QB room.
  20. Damar: Shhhhhhhh.
  21. Class response by Poyer not taking the offered opportunity to throw anyone under the bus
  22. This is pretty funny Concur.
  23. Who is their OL?
